Good morning, Art Fighters!

You’ve heard it, Art Fight 2016 is finally happening! After the wait, we now have a fully functional (and awesome) site for you guys to have fun on. Click here to be redirected to the site!

The site is now open! The event won’t start until one day from now, on August 20th, at 12:00pm MST to give you guys some time to get settled in the site. Now’s the best time to get used to the site, and start uploading characters and adding all the necessary information that goes with each character!

New? Don’t know what Art Fight is? Art Fight is a web-based graphic art game that was created in 2007 by Blankit (now run by Takaia) in order to inspire creativity and fun among different communities of artists. The fight lasts for one month each year, and returns annually. Players are split into two teams and “attack” by drawing art for members of the other team. Each attack is worth a specific number of points based upon effort, completion, and detail. At the end of the month, the team with the greater score wins. Due to limitations with time and coding, we could not yet implement a chat on the website. For the time being, we instead have an official Discord server!

If you’re interested in becoming a moderator or having any other role in Art Fight, please fill out the volunteer form and we will go through the applications when the need arises for more mods. In addition, we welcome more coder applications using the same form.

    I first discovered the Zero Escape series when 999 was continuously recommended to me on shopping websites based on other games I had purchased. Because I had never heard of the game, I didn’t expect much from it. Though curious, I decided to give the game a shot.

     It turned out to be the best outcome of a gamble I could have ever dreamed.

      Almost instantly, I was attached to the series. I fell in love with everything about it. The story, the characters, the art, music, fan community… Everything. I have never grown so attached to a series the same way I have with Zero Escape. I have persistently tried to share the experience with many people close to me, even my own mother. Get them to play the games… Just so I could have someone to share it with. Zero Escape has a smaller community than it deserves, but it shines brighter than anything else in my eyes.  

    Both 999 and Virtue’s Last Reward have completely changed my life. The series opened my eyes up to this fascinating genre of games, and will often compare real-life situations to it. No other franchise has impacted me in such a way. Made me fall in love so hard. 

    Thank you, Zero Escape. I never imagined myself loving an AI rabbit the way I now do.

The development for Art Fight’s brand-new website is well underway and coming together quite beautifully as we near the 2016 Event! Even still, our small team needs more coders who would be willing to help with back-end maintenance! If you or someone you know would be interested in volunteering, please read further and spread the word!

For those whom may be interested, we are mostly looking for coders who are familiarized in the following:

Server Administration

Git

Though, we would love to have any other coding skills and would appreciate if you considered joining our team! Along with that, any willingness to learn the above would be great!
