Ways to cast binding spells

There are many ways to bind. Each has its own subtle differences. Here are some ideas for how to bind, in general:

► Call upon the powers of a plant that is known for binding, such as morning glory. Ask the spirit of the plant to tangle up and bind something.

► Think about what you want to be bound (something related to love, health, emotion, money, et cetera) then ask a related power to bind it for you. Roses rule over love, so use a rose in a spell to bind something related to love. The planetary intelligence of Mars could help bind angry habits. 

► Using thread or ribbon is an obvious way to bind something. Try writing down a word or phrase describing what you want to be bound. Then take your thread and wrap it up tight, saying, “[target] is bound, [target] may no longer do [this]. 

► Use pins or needles instead of thread. Write down what is to be bound, or take a physical representation of it, and firmly pin it to a piece of cardboard. Then, take a big marker and draw a thick, solid circle around the pinned item. Magically declare that this item or action is off-limits to [target]. Create a small, solid black shield around the object.

► Create a representation of the target (such as a small human doll, made out of fabric or paper). Bind the doll itself with thread or other items, commanding it to cease certain actions. If the target behaves, loosen the bonds as a reward for good behavior. If the target misbehaves, tighten the bonds.

When casting binding spells,

► Try explaining why the thing is being bound, and if there are any conditions to un-bind it. 

► You may add conditional punishments to your bindings. “If [target] tries to do [this], then [target] will feel like they are pierced with the thorns of a rose until they stop.” Include representations of the punishment (rose thorns, etc) in your spell.

► You may add conditional rewards to your bindings. “Whenever [target] resists the temptation to do [this], let them feel satisfied and relaxed like they are in a bed of lavender.” Include a representation of the reward.

► Be aware that binding situations has a habit to ‘freeze’ them as they are and not let them progress. Binding or ‘freezing’ an entire situation may just cause it to remain as it is indefinitely; try binding people or actions instead. 

When un-doing binding spells,

► It really helps to have a physical component. If you have a knot you tied, you can un-tie it (while speaking some words about how the spell is voided), and the binding is undone. If you cannot physically untie the knot, burn it or cut it in half and declare that the binding is burned away or cut away. In the case of pins, unstick the item and erase the shield or other related energ work.

► If you have no physical component, go back to the powers you used and ask them to stop, reverse, or rend the binding.

Binding spells are powerful magic - don’t underestimate them. Ensure you keep a careful record of your binding spells and how you cast them so that you can undo them if you need to.

Nothing is worse than casting a binding spell and forgetting you did it – and then things going wrong.

1. take two pebbles each from a mountain spring, a river and the beach. 2. cast them onto a star carved into the ground in any location, the top point going north. 3. you can interpret them any number of ways - the cardinal directions/elements, the 5 elements, the placement of the rocks and which rocks there are etc etc. i could make a diagram i guess but im lazy and mostly write these for my own reference lol. 4. even if you dont want to admit it, you should now know the direction your heart lies.

gentle emotional healing spell

good morning lovelies! this spell is honestly so great for when you’re really down and just need some good pure love. it can help you get out of emotional funks/pits, comfort you after a long bout of crying, calm you after a stressful day to get ready for bed, the possibilities are really endless here and i just love this spell!

[ what youll need; ]

white candle;

purity, cleansing, communication, energy, healing

sage incense; [optional]

cleansing, banish nightmares, purify negativity, love, happiness, healing

lavender;

purity, gentle energy, calmness, compassion, emotional balance, healing

thyme;

healing, energy, vitality, love, kindness, friendship, communication, prosperity, happiness, growth

charcoal disk;

invoking, completion of a spell, strength, power, banish negative energies, protection

moon water;

emotional healing/balance, communication, calming, empathy, renewal, protection, mental clarity

sun water;

energy, protection, healing, confidence, abundance, mental strength

clear quartz;

protection, mental clarity, strength, power, communication, healing

[ ok now what?; ]

light your candle, and your incense on its flame if you’ve chosen to use one, then prep your dried herbs on your charcoal disk, layering the lavender first and then your thyme, don’t light it yet! just place this behind or next to your candle, just need it close enough to charge but not in front of the candle

take your moon water and place it to the left front area of your candle, and the sun water on the right area, sit for a moment and meditate, or if you don’t meditate you can just focus on the candlelight for a moment then proceed

once you’re finished and present, take your moon water and get it on your fingertips then gently/slowly rub it across your arms from left to right, and then across your forehead in the same motion.

you’re releasing emotional tensions and turmoils, negative thoughts, stress/stressors, etc

take your sun water and essentially perform the opposite, taking it on the fingertips of your right hand, rubbing it slowly across your arms from left to right, and then across your forehead in the same manner

you’re invoking energy and renewal, emotional strength, confidence, abundance and happiness

once you’ve completed your spell, light your herbs and you can choose to do some sun salutations yoga, which i highly recommend, or just relax and listen to some calming music, just try to be relaxing while the herbs burn out, basically, and then you’re all finished! ☁️✨
