For his first trick, Eddie Redmayne reveals he was a huge magic nerd.

Today, Eddie Redmayne is 34 years old. And if his childhood self isn’t impressed by the whole Oscar winner deal, young Eddie would at least probably be psyched that he grows up to play a magical-creature expert in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Redmayne says his favorite birthday ever was a magic show that he enjoyed significantly more than anyone he invited to his party did. He was also very impressed by magicians’ business cards.

“You can go and buy a box to chop people in half,” Redmayne explained. “I used to go and stand in the window.” Definitely not creepy.

Unpopular opinion

Caitlyn Jenner is absolute trash.

Not because she is trans, no, not for that.

She is trash because she hit and killed someone while texting and driving and got away with it.

Not only did she commit vehicular manslaughter but she was also awarded the Woman of the Year award for doing nothing.

Compared to the other women, the actual heroines, on the list she didn’t do shit (besides kill someone).

She even beat out Malala Yousafzai.

The girl that took a bullet for a woman’s right to an education.

Caitlyn is trash and honestly there are much, much better people in the trans community that should be rallied around.

"White people cant experience racism."

Keep repeating that while:

◎ White people get refused cooking jobs in black neighborhoods because “white people cant cook.” Or “white people dont season their food.”

◎ White rappers are judged on their skin color before their abiities.

◎ Poor white people in the same neighborhoods as black people (in majority blavk or latino neighnoorhoods) are still seen as doing better financially because of their race.

◎ Unarmed white people can be shot by black cops and it isnt made into a race issue.

◎ The majority perpetrator of violence against black people is other black people (by far), yet white people are blamed anyway

◎ Black people being assumed to be or joked about being in a gang is racist, but Italian people being assumed to be or joked about being in the mafia is not.

◎ Black or latino people being assumed drunks is racist, but Irish people being assumed drunks is not.

◎ Southern white people are assumed stupid or incompotent because of their accent and that’s acceptable. But black people with heavy use of slang being assumed stupid or incompotent is racist.

◎ It’s wrong to steroetype black people, but caricatures like Mario are fully acceptable.

◎ Germans and Austrians are assumed to be affiliated with Nazis because of their accents and heritage, but black people or mexicans being assumed druglords is fought against

◎ Europeans and caucasians in general are assumed to have no culture despite mountians of evidence proving otherwise, but ignorance on African culture is assumed to be racism.

◎ White families being against a family member dating a black person is assumed racist and intolerant. Black families being against a family member dating a white person is acceptable and can even be encouraged.

◎ Basically any hardship white people face often gets excused because of their race.

◎ People try to change the definition of racism to excuse their ignorance, stereotyping, hate, and overall racism based on their race.

I just went through that tag on twitter. It is simply a hateful tag where people judge white people based on their skin colour. After looking through it, I can conclude with this: -Every white person ever is racist -Every white person wants to shoot up a school -Every white person has seen Frozen at least once -Every white person marries their cousin -Every white person is spoiled -Every white person eats terrible food -No white person uses seasoning on their food -No white person should ever rap or wear braids because it is apparently “cultural appropriation” The original hashtag, #GrowingUpBlack, was made for black people coming together to laugh at sweet child memories. That is totally okay. But #GrowingUpWhite turned into a place for everyone to make fun of white people by saying things such as the above. That is not okay at all, and neither is making fun of black people! Just because someone is privileged, it does not give others the right to make them feel bad (especially not for something they can’t control)! I think the hashtag are great unless if they’re used to make fun of others. Race is something one cannot do anything about, so why do we make fun of people of other races? I saw something great on tumblr just a few minutes ago. It said something along the lines of: Making people of other races feel bad does not empower your own race. That is, in my opinion, completely true. Why do we choose to judge others based on their skin colour? I think saying that all white people are racist is just as bad as saying all Muslims are responsible for 9/11 or that all men are responsible for rape. I think the “facts” in the list above are stupid and irrelevant, but they are actual statements from tweets in the #GrowingUpWhite tag. Making other races feel bad does not empower your own race.

Genie was born in 1957 in California. Her father determined that she was mentally disabled and therefore not worthy of his attention or care. He isolated her from everybody - locking her alone inside a room until she reached the age of 13. While inside this room, he kept her strapped to a toilet or enclosed in a crib. Due to her isolation, she was incapable of communicating or walking when she was finally rescued by Los Angeles child welfare authorities on 4 November, 1970. Her father would beat her with a plank wood each time she attempted to communicate with her family and would bark and growl at her like a dog to intimidate her - this instilled a severe fear of dogs which continued after she was freed. He even grew his fingernails; the sole purpose being so he could scratch at Genie is she ever “misbehaved.” After she was freed, she was often used as a case study for psychologists, linguists, and scientists. She was sent into care and while there seemed to be a series of breakthroughs in the beginning, there were also major setbacks - she was exploited and also abused by those who were supposed to be caring for her - she was sent to an extremely religious foster care home in which she retreated and in 1977, she managed to tell a children’s hospital that her foster parents had physically punished her when she had been sick. Following this, her speech never recovered and nobody knows for sure what became of her other than she was sent to an institute for the mentally undeveloped in Southern California in 2008.
