i just know that at one point, if it hasn't been written already, there'd be a heartwrenching fic detailing the painful years of rumi - being her demon self, able to live for centuries - slowly outliving mira and zoey.

she'd mourn them for decades, treasuring every memory. and then she'd mourn the memories of them she no longer had - their faces, the sound of their laughter, the warm comfort of their gentle touch - fading through the years.

but every other generation, she'd come across people who vaguely reminded her of them and she'd wonder if this was them, finally reincarnated.

then she'd mourn all over again.

I've seen people saying that the lyrics "I'm the only one who'll love your sins / feel the way my voice gets underneath your skin" is Jinu singing about Rumi. Claiming that he's the only one who will understand her sins and his voice has gotten underneath her skin.

Guys. No. It's about Gwi Ma.

The whole song about how Gwi Ma operates.

He's all sweet and honeyed words at the beginning. All promises about how he can fix your problems - about how he's the only one who can, amd then everything will be better. And its welcoming and full of acceptance. And then once youre in too deep to backtrack, he turns on you, and you find that it was all a lie. But its too late by then.

Based on him talking to Bobby, Mira, and Zoey, we can safely assume that Gwi Ma spoke to every single person in that arena. Laid out their deepest fears ---- and then told them how he could solve those problems for them. How he could take away their pain. How he could give them somewhere to belong, be accepted, be loved.

Jinu isn't singing about Rumi. The whole song is pure malicious honey-baiting; its about being lured to your death. why would he be singing about Rumi in that context? Even when he got busted by Gwi Ma and convinced that Rumi's plan would never have succeeded, he just thought that Gwi Ma was too strong to defeat; he never thought that Rumi had lied to him or lured him in with false promises. The lyrics aren't about Rumi.

He's singing about how Gwi Ma promises to love all your sins, and isolates you so that you believe him when he tells you that hes the only one who will. He's singing about how Gwi Ma's voice gets under people's skin. Those lines---- the whole song ---- is about Gwi Ma.
