I don’t usually explain my drawings (emotional transparency makes me sweat), but I think this piece needs one. Sometimes I get into periods of depression where I feel like I’m living underwater. Simple things like getting out of bed or walking take just a little more energy than normal but I feel like I’m moving slower. Everything is a little quieter, a little blurrier, and I have a weird pressure in my ears, eyes, and chest. Time feels like it’s moving very slow but before I know it a month has passed and I can’t remember most of it. WebMD says I’m having a stroke.
I’m pretty high functioning so it doesn’t affect my work too badly but it’s a weird and surreal way to go through life. Does anyone else get this underwater feeling?
