wanted to try designing verge w/o the human disguise and settled on "i feel like they look like a rainbow stag beetle". which means i have to figure out highlights at.. some point.. but for now i'm content! also, bonus little deidre & leif. for fun

realized there is a CRIMINAL LACK of fiona fanart after seeing @beetpatchkids post abt being her VA!! felt like that should be rectified a little. (also, if tess sees this, YOUR PERFORMANCE WAS AMAZINGGGG I LOVE FIONA SM)

some headcanons under the cut!

1: i feel like she'd experiment with how she looks as a way to feel "in control" of something. realizing you were trapped in a manufactured 2012 for god knows how long has to be devastating to your mental health and leaving you feeling a little helpless. so i feel like she'd start with something small- maybe new hair clips that she alternates through, then new hairstyles, then experimenting with new outfits. maybe hair ties and bobby pins won't fix how she's feeling, but they might help.

2: i think she starts out nervous when she first visits the deep freeze. it gets better over time, but i feel like it starts out as "this was happening right under my nose and i had no idea. i never would've known if i hadn't been dragged here. is it my responsibility to do something now?" and that Cannot feel great. it gets better when she finds her footing, but it's kinda miserable for a while.
