Noone asked but it's yapping time. Here is my opinions on Star Trek uniforms

1. Voyager/early DS9

One of the only uniforms when I feel like there is actually space to move and do shit in, like when B'Elanna crouches to do something - it seems like there is room for her stomach and hips and legs. Similar vibe to TNG but they're not vacuum sealed on. Iconic. Flattering. I love shoulder pads.

2. Monster maroons

My only issue is that I don't get what temperature the ship is supposed be at, because these look warm. It's basically a sweater. I don't really see an engineer crouching under consoles and fixing things in it, with the belt and shit. But they should have a modified version of them as dress uniforms imo bc they fuck

3. DS9 later uniforms

Again I feel like these are quite warm but it fits because we mostly see DS9niners wearing them and I don't think it's that hot in there. Kind of make me sad to look at. This is not my beautiful colorful wife

4. The Motion Picture

The version with the longer shirt in front is actually nice! Lovely sleeves and shoulders. However the crewmen jumpsuit is absolutely criminal and it making me look at the men's genitals in uncomfortably close detail cannot be forgiven, which is why it's so low. But honestly if not for sad colors I kind of like these I think they're overhated. But they do stand out like a sore thumbs sadly.

4. TOS

The way the sleeves always hit just soo slightly above the wrists gives the illusion of them fitting very well 10 minutes ago before Scotty put the transporter on "hot" by accident.

5. Later TNG

Colorful. Dignified. A little too much vacuum sealing still but better than the earlier season ones. I LOVE the not visible in this picture trouser slit

6. Earlier TNG

They are only so high up because Tasha Yar looks amazing in it. Somehow all the men have boobs in them. The line near the collar is so weird it's like it's a sillhuette of a little cape? But still they're a very solid callback to TOS ones with some newness

8. Discovery

Giving lululemon define jacket. Please give them some SPACE they're soo tight. I don't like the collar piece snd I don't like metallic elements. Somehow it looks very modern and in that I mean you could get that in 2015 in h&m men's section no issue

9. SNW

I hate these. Compare them to TOS - the colors in TOS are vibrant but they are way softer and more relaxing to look at. These are way too vivid. Can't believe I'd say it but it may be too much color. They look shiny brand new like a cheap hallowen costume. Also the metallic stripes look like bracelets, TOS had glitter ones instead which was better. Only plus is longer sleeves

0. Enterprise

I honestly just don't really think these count they're just flight suits. Idk can't be bothered rating these sorry this is just regular earth clothing

I'm not rating Prodigy or Lower decks bc you can't evaluate how fabric drapes on an animated character. Also I run out of picture limit
