One could tell by the expression on her face how ‘thrilled’ she was to see him. Her eyes go over his figure once, before she brings a cigarette to her lips. She hated admitting that she wasn’t right. ❝To what do I owe this pleasure?❞ The woman speaks with the cigarette in her mouth before lighting it.

She took a deep breath to calm herself. During the centuries she had always been treated like this by men, and every time it had the same effect of her.  ❝If the hit is hard enough, they will acknowledge it. He says as his hands work to find his lighter in his suit. Yet still, he keeps on looking at her.

Certainly she didn’t hear him correctly. It must have been a joke….well, sooner a provocation. The truth was she wanted out of this, yet deep down she knew it wasn’t possible. Her people were perfect to them, perfect disposable soldiers. Had he heard her contemplating rebelling against the monarchy? More importantly would he rat her out?
