First Week Completed
Week 2, day 1
This morning, the scale showed 104,4 kg (230.2 lbs). I took the shot right after waking up, and I could feel it more this time—probably because my hands were shaking a bit more. The effect kicked in almost immediately. Once again, I feel a sense of liberation.

Looking Forward to Regaining Control
Week 1, day 7
My brother just completed his master’s degree a few days ago, and today we celebrated at my parents’ house. There was so much delicious food. I started off with a reasonably sized meal, but when dessert came out, I gave in and ate more than I had planned. I’m really looking forward to resuming my medication tomorrow to help me feel back in control.

Cravings Hit Hard: Gave In to Chocolate
Week 1, day 6
Oops — my cravings came back strong today, almost at full force. I ended up giving in and ate chocolate on the way home from the supermarket. It did curb the cravings, so at least I didn’t go beyond that. I’m definitely looking forward to Monday and getting my next shot.

Homemade Ice Cream and Holding Strong on Wegovy
Week 1, day 5
I’ve been really enjoying my day today, making all sorts of ice cream with the new ice cream machine my husband gave me for my birthday. So far, I’m still not experiencing any side effects from Wegovy, but I’ve noticed the food noise starting to creep back in. Even so, I’m managing to resist—for now—even with a freezer full of homemade ice cream.

Revisiting Old Memories and Managing the Day
Week 1, day 4
Today was really lovely. We visited my husband’s workplace to introduce baby T, and quite a few of his coworkers completely melted. Afterwards, I took the chance to stop by our old neighborhood—the one where my husband and I lived in our very first apartment together. I walked baby T around the park, and it felt surreal realizing that the last time I was there, I had just found out I was pregnant.
Food has been a bit of a struggle today, though. It feels like the Wegovy is starting to wear off. I’m definitely looking forward to my next injection on Monday!

No Cravings, No Side Effects
Week 1, day 3
Today I spent my time doing practical tasks in the garden—my happy place. I haven’t experienced any side effects, and I’ve barely felt any hunger. The cravings are gone too, although I still feel the urge to eat out of habit now and then. Thankfully, those urges are easy to ignore.

First Injection: I Feel Liberated
Week 1, day 2
Yesterday, I had my appointment where I learned how to self-inject the medication, and it went really well. I wasn’t nervous in the moment, and I didn’t feel a thing—just did it when the nurse asked. So far, side effects have been minimal: just a slight wave of nausea last night and a mild headache today.
The most amazing part, though, is what I believe is the disappearance of ‘food noise.’ That was the change I was most looking forward to—even more than the weight loss itself. I still feel the urge to eat sometimes even when I’m not truly hungry, and food is still on my mind, but it’s nowhere near as overwhelming as it used to be. Today I even saw an ad for an ice cream shop, and for the first time in my life, I felt nothing. It’s incredibly liberating!

A New Beginning: Starting My Journey
Week 1, day 1
Today marks the start of a new chapter for me. When I stepped on the scale this morning, it read 105 kg (232 lbs), which means I’ve gained back nearly all the weight I had lost after giving birth. I’m feeling excited to begin this journey, though I’m also a little anxious about giving myself the injections. I have an appointment with a nurse at the doctor’s office at 2 p.m. today to learn how to do it properly. I’m a bit worried about potential side effects, but overall, I have a positive feeling about this. It feels right!

Today I picked up my prescription. I have mixed emotions — part of me is eager to start this new chapter, but another part feels like I’m admitting defeat by needing help from medicine to lose weight.
