The other day, talking to a friend and reminiscing about the Capitano and Osial-Zhongli series, we realized something extremely funny.

The fact that I—someone who routinely had the reader locked up in some creepy, dark fortress, stalked within an inch of their sanity, and loved with the kind of obsessive fervor that would make a Victorian ghost blush—have a hard boundary.

And that boundary is: no insults.

My yanderes can commit crimes against human rights—but they do it politely.

So after like six months of not logging into Honkai (when was Sunday’s banner?), I do a single 10-pull and get this guy.

I’m insanely excited about it , insanely. After losing my adored husband Capitano —cue my widow tears—, I had pretty much drifted away from Genshin; I just started losing interest really quickly, especially since the quests and leaks felt kind of "meh" to me, haha. I figured maybe the Mondstadt quest might pull me back in — but oh boy, I was not ready for that teaser.

Hopefully they'll do the character justice, especially since his lore has been so heavily hyped by a significant part of the fandom.

I am also very excited to see what people write for him now that he's taking the spotlight. I might do so as well, but can't promise anything hehehehehe

But while thinking, if Pulcinella has plans to make Little Dove a saintly figure of propaganda, I see Arlecchino intervening just for spite. Something like, proposing to take care of Little dove at the orphanage. The kids would gain a kind soul as a mother figure, a admirable being who shared the life of a great hero. And it would basically follow Pulcinella goal of making propaganda. What works best than talking about how a grieving widow heals her sorrow by helping to raise orphans ?

Petty Harbingers' drama. Sounds like fun meetings.

That is the best-case scenario. But she needs to act quick though... there would be more than a couple of harbingers interested in showing similar acts of kindness towards their fallen comrade's widow.

Poor little Dove can't have a break. Capitano isn't dead for 48 hours that Pulcinella is already plotting to use his widow as Fatui's propaganda 😓. Let the poor dear alone old man. She needs to process.

Worst is I can hear the whispers in town, in all Snezhnaya. Everyone add their little thing to the rumors about Capitano's widow and the extend of her grief. People don't even dare to call Little Dove his "widow". That makes things too real. She is still mentionned as "his wife" month after he passed. Perhaps she will always be known like that.

He would never admit it, but Pantalone is... bothered by it.

Having that precious little thing becoming the equivalent of a devotee? Having that beautiful, unprotected treasure still considered... married? Ugh.

I think Little Dove reaction would be a mix of shock and denial at the news of Capitano's death. She would perfectly denies the Fatui agent breaking the news, telling him it's not possible. They think he's dead. But he's not. He will come back. He always come back. I mean, who's gonna believe their immortal captor obssessive lover just died as some self-sacrifying hero ?

Worst thing is, thinking about Capitano personality, I'm sure he would have left a letter.

"You are free, my dove. Your time has come to fly again as you wish"

Or the dream of any other Harbingers not-willingly-wife. I mean. Now I have brainrot for others Harbingers partner. Clearly a "I wish it was me" for some of them. Like Pantalone and his darling.

Pantalone: What a tragedy. Capitano died. His dearest is a widow. I need to deal with her pension.

One of my immediate headcanons was that Pulcinella arranged for Little Dove to start a pilgrimage to honor her lost love. This, of course, is to solidify his legacy as a hero and to serve as the perfect antithesis to the harsh reputation of the Fatui.

Pulcinella spins tales of Little Dove’s devotion and heartbreak, painting her as a saint-like figure among the common folk. Her quiet acts of charity and compassion would eventually endear her to the people, making her the perfect little puppet.

I may write this as an actual fic (?????
