I’ve been trying to find the words to say but honestly I have none. Noah Schnapp is acting like a heartless idiot online and by actively supporting a genocide he’s lost all my respect. There’s not much more I can say on the matter because I’m just speechless when I see his ignorance. I may not even watch the last season of Stranger Things because I can’t look at his face without feeling disgusted at this point.

So this piece of fanart goes out to @mrhalloween2ficpage, because of their amazing fic, "You Aren't The Only One." I absolutely adore this fanfiction, so much so that I just knew I had to sit down and draw something from it!

My art is a wee bit speculation, as I don't actually know where the fic will go into the future, but hey I tried to guess best I could! I just knew I really wanted to capture Mike when he's just barely post s3 age, and I couldn't resist post-bite "don't fucking touch my hair" wheeler. Meanwhile I also wanted to show a probable s4 Mike after he's been through some shit.

I would describe him as more blunt and playful than snarky. I also think that a lot of the jabs and ‘sarcastic’ moments people reference are more innocent and oblivious rather than carefully constructed witty comebacks. Not to say that he’s incapable of being snarky and sarcastic! I just mean that Will is predominantly a withdrawn and sweet character. Even around those he trusts most, like his brother and Mike, he still comes across as gentle and bashful. When he’s at his most energetic, he still comes off as a pretty calm person. Reserved, unsure, empathic, loving and loyal are his most obvious traits in my opinion. He’s also a massive people-pleaser. There is no way in hell he’d intentionally try to drag his friends with sarcastic and snarky quips against them.

On that note, it really annoys me when people try to push an overly cool or badass version of Will in head-canons or fan-fiction because it just isn’t true to his character and it makes it seem as if Will is only a notable character if he’s actively someone he’s not. Will is a badass. He survived the upside down, he survived being possessed, and he’s currently surviving having a connection with the upside down/vecna in the present canon. Will is strong and resilient while at the same time remaining sweet and gentle and kind, and that’s what makes him such an incredible character.

Sorry, can anyone (preferably the moots) tell me when exactly Will is shown to be sarcastic in the show? /gen. I keep seeing people depict Will as sarcastic and snarky and affectionately making fun of (bullying) his friends and family and I genuinely just don’t remember this ever happening in the show.

I obviously do remember season 3 but a lot of his “negative” comments that season were jealousy driven and stemmed from being hurt. The same goes for the rink-o-mania scenes in s4. My point is, that is not how Will usually behaves, that’s how he behaves when he’s jealous/hurt/mad.

Of course there’s also the iconic “is that why you don’t have any friends?” line in s2 but people do know that Will didn’t say that to be funny? This wasn’t supposed to be an intentional dig at his brother, that was a genuine question.

And well, do I maybe just don’t understand sarcasm? Because I’m drawing a blank trying to remember when Will ever used it.

I’ve personally never perceived Will to be someone that affectionately makes fun of his loved ones so it’s just kinda weird to me that so many people do, and in return the fact that I feel like I’m the only one that thinks like that is also weird which is why I’m genuinely asking if someone could maybe clarify this for me, as I might very well be wrong here.
