gnaws at the bars of my enclosure here's some sally face headcanons because i'm so normal trust!!

sal fisher

-probably had gums or mints on him constantly, he has to constantly smell his breath in his mask so he keeps it fresh as much as he can.

-has definitely used sharpie on his nails before, stopped after ashley got him nail polish for his birthday one year and hasn't gone back.

-sal is so definitely a scab picker, larry probably yells at him when he catches him picking at scabs when they hang out, he's looking out for his friend and doesn't want it to become a bad habit.

-sal has a few extra face masks his friends designed individually for him, some of them just being painted on or sculpted, one of them was just covered in stickers, he loves all of them and has them up in his room.

-has caught his own cat playing with his fake eye more than once when he couldn't find it in the morning, those mornings it did happen he would have to wash it off before soaking it in solution for a while, sometimes going to school without it, after the second time, he got replacement eyes for when that happened.

-tried an edible once with larry and freaked the fuck out and hasn't tried them since, larry still feels bad seeing him in that state (larry had to babysit him that night)

-i can't decide whether he bites his nails or he has long healthy nails and clips them weekly, they both work🤷‍♀️

-has almost shit himself at one of the sleepovers where sal slept with his mask off, he turned over as he woke up taking a moment to remember who was next to him since he's used to seeing his mask 😭

-always wanted a cat growing up but his mother was super allergic so whenever he's at sal's he's loving up on gizmo and ofc gizmo loves the attention.

-he loves being a canvas for ashley's makeup practice not to mention the cursed pictures they have gotten while the makeup process happened.

-he wanted to learn guitar but did not have a single musical bone in his body to actually play instruments, so sal started learning guitar for him (larry is so tone deaf it's so funny when he tries singing along to ashley's music which consists of musical soundtracks).

-he's such a pin and bottle cap collector, he has jars of them, ashley and maple also got him into tiny living and started collecting small furniture and little things.

shoji and you had been high school sweethearts after he got the courage to ask you out for junior prom, 2-3 years later you both got accepted into the same college, he was helping you move into your dorm room. (she was roommates with other female student from UA, this may be fiction but i'm not gonna have them live in the same dorm because that just doesn't happen)

your roommate, Tokage Setsuna was nice enough to help you bring your several boxes of belongings to your shared dorm room, your boyfriend was supposed to help but he got wrapped up in the orientation that day since he hadn't been there to visit previously time while on the other hand you had.

"damn girl how much did you pack??"

Setsu questioned with a grunt as she plopped the heavy box on your side of the room.

you chuckled, placing down the smaller boxes on top of the one she placed down. "there was just a few things i wanted to be with me in college, nothing wrong with that."

you shrugged it off as you walked out of the room to grab another box from the back of your boyfriend's car, you guys drove 3 hours there together so you both had your belongings in the trunk (he maybe had a single duffel bag and two smaller boxes lmao). you used your quirk to lift an extra box as you grabbed a larger one with your hands.

quirk: gravity fluctuation. you can mess with the gravity of decently weighted objects, this quirk is more useful in rescue type hero work but can be used in combat situations, just involves a little more strategic movement. you can also move people, but heavier objects will cause intense headaches and sometimes fainting after straining to long to hold something up.

the both of you had finished bringing in your boxes of clothing, wall decor, books, etc.

Setsuna flopped over on her bed from exhaustion of carrying boxes up and down the stairs. you plopped on your bed and started going through your clothes as you heard a buzz from your phone

Shoji replied with a simple thumbs up emoji, you didn't even notice how giddy you were until you heard your roommate mock your current pose which was laying on your stomach and kicking your feet in the air behind you unironically and she laughed at how reacted at the small things your boyfriend did, endearingly of course, you giggled along with her before continuing to do your laundry.

a few hours had gone by and you had gotten most of your clothes put away, not without some struggle but Setsuna didn't mind helping you.

you just started opening one of the boxes that contained your posters when you heard a soft knock at the dorm door, your roommate slowly opened the door not expecting to be face to face with someone's torso, she looked up to see a slightly familiar face. you turned and saw your boyfriend who was barely reaching the top of the doorway with his head, you smiled as you ran over to the door and took his hand, leading him inside.

setsuna sat back down on her bed her face curious.

"so.. this is the one you were kicking your feet texting earlier?"

shoji looked down at you his eye squinted softly as his cheeks raised against his mask, he was smiling at you.

"of course it was, who else would i be texting?-"

you sighed before preparing yourself for introductions.

"M- Shoji this is Setsuna, Setsuna this is my boyfriend Shoji."

he nodded a welcome hello as she just gave an awkward thumbs up from her bed before going on her phone.

"don't worry she's not good at talking- anyway how was orientation mezo?"

they talked about each others day, the ups and downs and how they missed each other, of course setsu made a fake gag sound at the sappy talk, but you guys only laughed at it. the both of you started going through the boxes and going through posters and pictures.

shoji found a picture of the two of you that you guys had taken in a mall photo booth. in the first picture shoji's head was cut off the top because he didn't know where the camera at first and you were sat next to him laughing, the second picture you had pulled his head down to your level, your hand caressing his clothes cheek. the third picture you had surprised him with a kiss to his masked cheek, and what's even better is that in the last picture mezo had pulled his mask down and met your lips which very much surprised you, that was your guys first real kiss, before that you had been giving him pecks on his masked lips but you both will never forget that kiss and you're glad the both of you could relive that moment with this picture.

he tapped your shoulder and pointed to the picture in which you smiled at it. you looked up at him, slowly wrapping your arms around his middle in which he cocooned you in his webbed arms, you loved when he did this especially when it was freezing, he pecked the top of your head through his mask as you rested your head on his chest. setsu looked over to you and smiled before she coughed to get their attention.

"i'm gonna go grab dinner with some of my friends, ill leave you two some privacy, and ill bring back left overs."

she had slipped on her shoes and grabbed her phone before practically dashing out of the room.

you both laughed a little before you guys locked eyes again. when was the last time you both were in a room alone, your felt your heart flutter, you knew how lucky you were to be with him, yet he felt like you were so out of his league which you definitely reassured him you were not.

he slowly pulled down his mask and lowered his head down to your level, his arms still wrapped around you.

"looking at you like this, is my favorite thing, your beauty pains me, i know you rarely see me like this but i at least hope you feel something other then horrified when you see my face."

he had a shy smile as she chuckled, you gently caressed his scared cheeks whispering to him.

"i definitely am not terrified nor horrified of you Mezo, i think you are the prettiest thing."

his face after hearing that proved her right, he was perfectly imperfect and she loved how different he was, he may not think what she does about his face, she wished he did.

they were frozen there as if someone had paused a cheesy romance dvd. all of a sudden he gently lifted her off the ground, her legs dangled as he pressed one of the most softest, passionate kisses she had ever received, his hand placement made her want to melt like putty in his arms, his middle pair of arms secured around her middle, his top pair caressed her head, one of his hands holding the side of her face the other in her hair.

his bottom pair softly rested on the sides of her legs, his scared ridged lips slowly moved with your soft ones, yet you never felt anything as soft as this in your life. your arms wrapped around his neck as you tilted into him lovingly, his body reacting by squeezing you lightly.

this had gone on for a couple minutes before he gently pulled back, both of your cheeks flushed as your hearts thumped against each other, it's been a while since you guys could've really get lost in each other like that, and you guys know you'll be doing that again soon. he gently put you back down on the ground.

both of your eyes had stayed locked on each other since they reopened, there was a comfortable silence before he spoke.

"we should probably get started on those wall decorations."

the both of you chuckled wholeheartedly.

Hello! It has been just a short while, I Think! (Maybe Longer!) But I wanted to Come back very quickly to say... Thank you again! My Hiatus, how is it going? I could not say, I'm so busy in general, but I am outside Oil Painting today (Very important!) It's nice to get lost in work sometimes! My birthday is coming up also (May 2, haha!) but I do not have time to properly celebrate! So my Gift to me is coming back here to say-

Thank you all for everything!! For your patience as I recuperate, as I adjust to this New Terrain, and get the Next Site Update ready for everyone as we prepare to Venture into Summer and Fall! I keep telling myself 'It's only April! Or May? We're already planning out the rest of the year?' To which I reply, 'Yes! Yes of course!

I feel as though the Next update is going to be very exciting! A few other items too I hope everyone will Really enjoy! (I cannot allude as to What quite yet, but Know I'm working very hard with so Many Different individuals behind the scenes! Wow! I get to type that now, hahaha! Everyone who is working on Welcome Home now are also doing so wonderful, I am very excited for Everyone to know them in this way!!) Anywho, I hope we're all doing well! I hope you have achieved something Small and memorable today, like maybe making a Sandwich or doing some laundry! Small, but significant victories! I hope we are still so Kind to one another too! (Drink water too, Drink water too!) I must return to my Hiatus, I hope to come back once Welcome Home's website has been updated again! So we can Mingle and talk about it! Oh! This has Been... Ooh! Not Even a week! But what an Eventful week it has been, Hasn't it! I cannot Believe my Own Existence, honestly! But I feel as Though I must say a Few things! Between you, and me, and you, and me! A Conversation that I will sit in a Chair Backwards for, very Cool-like!-

I must have Said this so many time, The Reception has Been just Phenomenal! Stupendous! Everyone has been so Kind and the Support is immense! This is like a Dream to be able to Create my own Work that makes myself and Others so happy and get to Collaborate with other artists!

But it is also very Unforeseen and very Stressful, which has been taking Its Toll on my Health and I am Unable to Handle this Change at this moment. I know this sudden Boost was Unpredictable! I say and Say again, 'This Home! What do you See in this home?' All this to say I am going on a Very Small Hiatus until I am Well Enough again to return here and Meet everyone Properly! Working on Welcome Home, too, is one of my Priorities and so I will be Doing this while I am Away Also! But there are a Few items I wanted to Leave before I took this Small break! (A few Weeks, I'll be Alright, wahaha!)

I know Welcome Home has become a Massive community, although I Have not seen it I have a Feeling it is all Over. I Hope we all Remember to be Kind to one Another and Look out for Each other even though we Are just beginning to Come together. I also wanted to note, based on a Few Messages I received, regarding Welcome Home's lore and Mystery. Please do not Repost old artwork that you have Found on this blog prior to January 2021. I believe Individuals are Assuming it Plays into this 'Game' somehow, But I am very Sorry to tell you that it was Very Early conceptual artwork for When I first began Reworking Welcome Home and plays no part in its Current Story! I don't Really want to Delete this work because It holds a place On This Blog as the date I returned to Working on Welcome Home! It is sentimental, but I feel as though Reposting it out of its Original Home brings Unnecessary confusion! (Had I known I would be seen by So Many, but it was so Unprecedented! The Next Update will reflect this!) Additionally, please Do Not associate any real life experiences or tragedies with Welcome Home. Welcome Home is purely a work of my own fiction and does Not Correlate with any real life incidents! It would be insensitive to those Who have Experienced these tragedies first hand and others Involved. (I Will also Place this on the Next Update!)

Lastly, I will not be Answering Any speculative questions about Any of the Characters in any way or the story itself. I hope you will Discover the Answers to your questions as the Story Expands and you get to Explore deeper. I know there must be an Eagerness to Uncover everything and to know Everyone in Home much more intimately, but to give so many Details so quickly will hurt the story, I feel. I am Happy everyone is so excited to Dive in, but Please be patient to find out more.

I hope Folks will Be kind to these requests, but I understand if it is not so. It is so large that Everything is Completely out of my Hands... I don't think I understand how to Handle these things yet. However, I do know I need to Take care of myself and My Art, Because I would not be here right now without Welcome Home. I hope Everyone will like my Next Update... I really Want to make Something I am proud of and I Now have so many Folks to do that with! Thank you so much, Everyone, and I am so sorry about the small hiatus. But Uh... Hm... One last thought from me for Awhile! (I Like making those!) My Big Rust Bucket Fish was so beloved! My Professor stared at her with so much Awe, It made me so Happy! The Dive home Shook her little fin off, though! But I'll just Glue it back on! Anywho!
