Months have passed since-..well that . And I have moved out of the lodge ,it just didnt feel the same without him.

As I sit here in this empty house ,I realized what I'm doing. There is an extra bed, extra chairs in every room reserved just for him .

Empty house empty life

(I wrote a fanfic about byomkesh jumping off (something to save ajit . This is part 2 I suppose)

It's been two weeks. Broadcasted everywhere in india about how byomkesh bakshi the genius detective is dead

"You never liked the term detective. Satyanaveshi"

It had been two weeks since satyawati left the house after her dear husband's death

"I have failed so many people."

It had been two weeks since ajit had been all alone in a house they solved so many cases in ,made so many memories and-

"That armchair is specifically reserved for you . no one else sits there"

Thier first case was about ajit's father's death and the last case was about byomkesh's-

Notice something in that pattern? It was all the people near ajit but never-never ajit

"Why not me ? Why couldn't I go with you? Why does everyone keep leaving"

He sat thier with tears blurring his vision as he realized.

He was talking to himself

All alone

In an empty house

An empty heart

And his fault.

"Shhhhhi-"hissed ajit as he sat down after the most brutal beating of his life.

As he lays down in bed he notices byomkesh being missing but did not have the energy to look around for him. The bed just felt so good! Perhaps a little nap wouldn't hurt .

"Ajit? Ajit- AJIt??" Ajit felt someone slapping his 'the not bruised cheek'

"Hm-?"

"Hash....you scared me for a second. Dont just randomly pass out like that on me"

Says byomkesh as he plops down next to ajit's foot and took it into his lap

"What happ-ouch ouch ouch leave it! It hurts byomkesh!"ajit tryed to pull his foot away and failed miserably at it

"You foot is still bleeding ,I need to patch that up first now sit still and take that" says byomkesh as he throws over an icepack for 'the bruised cheek'

This wasnt so bad after all ,his foot really did feel a lot better and his cheek- well it just felt cold

"Can I go to sleep now?"

"Sure . But tell me if you need anything ok? Are you ok? Feeling cold or hot or warm or anything? Does anything still hurt? If your foot comfortable? Do you need more pillows? Give me the ice pack back . I'll be right here and-"

"Hmm I think that's enough byom-*yawn* I'm fine" said ajit as he finnaly closed his eyes and settled in

"Thank you"

A slap rung in my ear ,it took me a moment to realize that it hurt too. I deserved it didnt I? She had asked me to do one thing "Keep him safe and bring him back in one piece"

How am I supposed to tell her that I dont even know where the dead body of the love of her life is. He jumped-he he ...I didnt think he would do it

"Answer me ajit . Where is he?" The police had been on standby-they had saw it happen why were they not telling her? Why me?

"If you want him safe byomkesh.  Jump" That was something along the line I had heard . Before I could process it "He jumped"

"He jumped" why did he jump?

"He jumped" did he jump because he didnt think I could protect myself?

"He jumped" and I just watched? No-no i tried to save him I-

He mentioned how his father used to drink and cuss and him . So a) he could be afraid of loud noises or he also mentioned how is father was upset when he didnt pass chemistry (honestly same bb but ok) so b) he could be afraid of disappointing people .

i did actually show a friend of mine dbb! a couple months ago and they liked it :) so i have seen dbb! i think... 4 times since september 2023! so 4 times in 10 months! i love this goddamn movie sm. in any case, still need to read more of the short stories and watch more of the adaptations. i have too many interests 💀
