The science behind THC + alcohol as a combination is literally soo interesting because it basically causes the crimson red duckling in your body to confront the serpent in the bronze vessel of your heart. Maybe i misunderstood something, but modern humans as in homo sapiens exist for 300.000 years and started. So other hominids definetly started to looked different to „us“ for quite longer than 50.000 years.

I also don‘t get the y chromosome thing as all primates have them which indicates it evolved befor the emergence of hominids. Appearently it’s around 166 million years old wich would mean it even predates primates wich started to evolve 70 million years ago.

Again i might be misunderstanding you but things like that somehow bother me. Hominids started to diverge from other hominoids around 15 million years ago. The history of humans is such a long story and most people think that our ancestors were basically monkeys like 50.000 years ago, when they had about the same mental capacities and physiologie as we do today. Again homo sapiens is 300.000 years old. ~290 of these people still lived as hunter-gatherers, wich makes the neolithic revolution an rather recent event. And i personally think that the amount of legends and mythic creatures in them makes so much more sense if you just think about how our ancestors have played chinese whispers for 300.000 years with many animals going extinct and emerging during this time

But regarding the nature of the uncanny valley i can agree with you. I think it‘s generally just about finding out whether a human „humans“ correctly, since irregular behaviour could indicate disease.

Though other hominids could’ve still played a role. Mistaking a chimp fletching his teeth with a human smile could have dire consequencesfor you today. With a wider range of what humans could look like it would be important to be able to draw the line between a human and an ape
