“xiao.”

a sudden gust of wind blows against your back the moment you utter that name. you didn't have to turn around to know who or what had caused the sudden movement; you knew it was the yaksha, arriving at the sound of his name spoken by his beloved.

xiao silently moves to stand next to you near the edge of the balcony. you detached your arms from the fence and stood straight to face him.

he looked tired; though he was quick to regain his composure once he noticed your worried staring. letting out a sigh, you wordlessly wrap your arms around his waist — head buried in the crook of his neck.

the adeptus didn't respond at this, instead he let himself finally relax into your embrace. he longed for this; for your touch to soothe him and tell him that everything was okay.

“thank you.” your grateful words made xiao open his eyes after a moment of comfortable silence. those two words made his heart skip a beat. “for what?” he whispered while slowly pulling back to look at you.

“for coming into my life.” you shot him a soft smile, your hands swiping some of the hair that fell on his beautiful face to the side.

the yaksha could have sworn that he had never felt such strong and positive emotions before. he has lived for many years, however no simple words could have ever made his heart flutter and his stomach fill with what they call 'butterflies'.

there was no answer coming from him, although seeing that small and content smile tugging at his lips afterwards was all you wanted to accomplish.

xiao held you even tighter than he did moments ago, his gloved hand twisting the material of your clothes in his palm to try and hold back the tears.

such simple words, yet they made him forget all about his surroundings; his unfulfilled duties and karma.

hello, i am making this bc i truly have had enough of the shit they have done lol. don’t go send hate asks to anyone though, it’s not right, whatever they have done.

my main issue here is regarding the c slur that they and their sister have said. i myself am chinese, and i have talk to a few of my chinese moots as well and all of them have all been extremely offended by what bree has said and how she handled the situation. for privacy purposes, i will not be naming them.
