We absolutely cannot emphasize enough that misogyny is an ideology soaked in blood. Misogynists kill women every day in their homes, at their jobs, when they're pregnant, when they're just trying to transition in peace, when they solicit them for sex work, when they're walking down the street, when they're at school, when they're sleeping, when they're begging them not to, when theyre colonizing their countries, when they're abusing their children, and sometimes they do it with their fists and sometimes they do it with assault rifles. To reduce it to anything less serious than that is shameful.

"gender critical" is such a funny term for people who base their whole identity around unquestioningly enforcing the gender binary they were raised with. the patriarchy set up a binary and you're like "I will defend the sanctity of this social construct in the name of feminism" Absolute clown shoes. Imagine a tradcath calling themself "religion critical"

⛔Stop a minute‼️
Get to know Hashem's family
My name is Hashem from Gaza. I am 32 years old and my wife, Samar, is 27 years old. We have a child born in the eighth month of pregnancy. His mother was premature because of my wife's fear of war. My large family consists of 8 members: my father, mother, four male brothers and 2 females. My father died in the war due to a lack of medicine in hospitals as a result of the fierce war on Gaza.

My story began when we were displaced from our home in northern Gaza in mid-October 2023 after a letter threatening eviction, and then the house was targeted and destroyed. Between this Exodus and the current fifth Exodus there are many stories and sufferings.
We now live in plastic tents, which are thermal ovens, which are not suitable for living and do not provide the minimum necessities of life, in addition to the spread of epidemics and diseases, which puts our lives in danger.

Through this campaign, we are trying to collect enough money to meet our needs and get us out of the Gaza Strip safely. We ask you to stand by us and protect us from this severe danger.
Support and share🤍
best wishes:
Hashem alshawish

Hey guys, I wanted to tell you about the Ihyaa' initiative. My friend Mohammed Ayesh, who's been our vetter on the ground in Ghazzah for the last year or so, wants to make a space and provide resources for University students to complete their studies in a proper learning environment, along with providing food parcels, stationary, and other essentials. You may have heard of the Isnad initiative! It's very similar to the Ihyaa' initiative but it's located elsewhere. They had to find the right room to use as a classroom for the Ihyaa' initiative and they're going to be paying rent of 2000$ for it. Mohammed Ayesh has informed me that starting on Monday this rent will begin.
University students are the foundation of a better and rebuilt Ghazzah! If you want to help Ghazzah rebuild, this is one of the first steps you can start assisting with.

Dear friends ...
We are living the worst days of our lives—days of hunger, fear, and genocide. It’s not an exaggeration to say we are dying in silence. Among us are 26 people who have nothing to eat, and every moment our lives are in danger.
Among us is an injured child who urgently needs surgery, as well as treatment, care, and attention.
Despite the pain, a glimmer of hope remains that you will stand with us. Your support, donations, and sharing of our message are what keep us alive—they are our lifeline.
Please, don’t leave us alone. 🫂
With sincere gratitude and hope.
Vetted by @gazavetters, my number verified on the list is ( #102 )

Sometimes going outside is good for you and sometimes going outside is hearing someone on the radio at a place proudly declare how much he loves the fascist in charge of your country who wants you dead and gone or having your car break down at dusk while you're driving alone wearing a skimpy outfit and suddenly realizing how much danger you could have been in if your fiance hadn't been nearby and immediately available to come help you

Y'know, sometimes, when browsing through tags here, I like to remove the "#" from the search bar, to see what comes up when people don't tag but use the words in their posts, walk off the "beaten path", if you will, and boy what I dug up today is probably the wildest take I've seen in, well, quite some time.
This post is from the end of last month btw.
Claiming the Nazi party was peaceful and fighting against oppression/racism and it only got bad because of one dude is certainly a take.
In reality, the NSDAP's predecessor, the German Workers' Party (don't be fooled by the name), a short-lived Weimar era far-right party, was already massively antisemitic even before Hitler joined, so I don't know where the stan here is learning their history.
How about a bunch of baseless claims devoid of any evidence right after dropping that wisdom bomb on us?
Good ol' IRA argument, never heard this one before.
Funny how this "slippery slope cautionary tale" was being told by two white guys (for most of it's run), who worked for a company infamous for being massively racist, to the point the least worst thing that happened there - and I quote Mica Burton on this - "was having the N word written on a whiteboard" out in the open for no apparent reason (some will say it was to explain a South Park "joke", I call bullshit on that).
"I'll take 'things that never happened' for 500, Alex" is what I believe you americans would say in a situation like this.
If you can't tell, the grey part is an ask, the white screenshots are the answer, and yes, this is the whole post, the user does not call out the asker for claiming the nazis were good before Hitler (which is a very common wehraboo talking point used to whitewash nazi germany). And yes, the answerer is a part of anti-rwde.
Gundam fans were right, rw//by stans should not have the right to opinions.

We are being killed
We are being slaughtered
We are being torn apart
We are being buried alive
We are being buried
We are being displaced
We are starving
We are being detained
We are being tortured
We are being burned
Whoever watches everything from above will never be affected by what's below.
We are the ones whose heads are being cut off.
We die slowly and no one moves a finger. here

Understand PYROLISYS and stop your house from burning down!!
Pyrolisis: the chemical change that occurs in wood and other materials, lowering the material combustion point in response to repeated heating at even relatively low temperatures such as around 200F.
aka,
the chemical or thermal decomposition of a material when it is exposed to heat
THIS MEANS that if you repeatedly heat something up to pretty high temperatures - like, stuff that's stored near offering candles that repeatedly get hot to the touch -
THE CHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF THOSE OBJECTS DEGRADES, AND LOWERS THE COMBUSTION POINT.
The chemical change of pyrolysis lowers the temperature at which a substance will catch fire. What may be surprising is that wood exposed to temperatures as low as 200 degF. can over time be changed such that its ignition point or combustion point is significantly lowered.
Repeated exposure to high temperatures changes the composition of things!!
Just because your mason jar candle holder didn't explode the first time a little fire got out of control, does not mean it will never explode.
It may explode the 5th, 10th, or 15th time you let a fire get out of control.
As things are repeatedly introduced to high temperatures they are not designed to handle, the little bits inside degrade.
When you burn candles or small fires, nothing in the vicinity should be getting hot. No figurines, no altar cloths, no curtains, no shelves, not the surface the fire-holder is sitting on.
If your candle holder is not fire-safe (which you should never use), never allow it to get hot. Maybe you have to put it in a bigger basin with water to dissipate heat, idk.
IF YOU ARE AWARE YOU ARE USING A CANDLE HOLDER OR FIRE BOWL THAT IS NOT FIRE SAFE (WHICH YOU SHOULD NEVER USE), ONLY USE IT IN A FIRE-SAFER AREA, LIKE IN A BATHTUB, OUTSIDE ON CONCRETE, OR IN A TALL METAL POT WITH A LID TO SUFFOCATE FLAMES. This is the same concept as assuming a gun is loaded and never pointing it at anyone.
You can use many random objects to contain fire that will not catch on fire or explode the first times you use them.
The problem is DOWN THE LINE, when you have exposed non-fire-safe materials to heat they were not designed to handle over and over again.

The way most autism literature describes "literal interpretation" is often not at all similar to how I experience it. Teenage me even thought I couldn't be autistic because I've always been able to learn metaphors easily.
In fact, I love wordplay of all kinds. Teenage me was fascinated to learn all the types of figurative language there are in poetry and literature.
But paperwork and questionnaires are hard, because there's so much they don't state clearly. Or they don't leave room for enough nuance.
"List all the jobs you've had, with start and end dates." What if I don't remember the exact day or month? Is the year enough?
"Have you been suffering from blurred vision?" Well, if I take off my glasses the whole world is blurred, but I'm fairly sure that's not what the intake form at the optometrist is asking.
Or the infamous (and infuriatingly stereotypical) "Would you rather go to a library or a party?" What sort of party? Where? Who's there? I work at a library. Am I currently at the library for work or pleasure? Does it have a good collection?
It's not common figures of speech that confound me. It's ambiguity, in situations that aren't supposed to be ambiguous.
