I love modern sapphic rep but I kind of want to talk about how little MLM rep there are in modern kids cartoons, besides two dad characters who barely get to be shown (Clyde’s fathers, Willow’s dads, Bow’s dads, etc.).

I think it’s mostly because a WLW couple can be super close to each other and straight audiences won’t pick it up while two men can’t be affectionate without being called gay.

And also the fact that historically and even now homosexuality in women/lesbianism is considered less offensive than male gayness which is in and of itself a problem as it tends to come from fetishization and the assumed possibility of a threesome by gross straight dudes. And it also comes from straight people considering sapphic relationships as “pure” or not really gay.

And showing two men kiss would make parents more uncomfy and more likely to hate on the network, because men being gay is a threat to masculinity and the patriarchy as a whole in their eyes.

And don’t get me wrong I do not hate any of these cartoons, some of them are actually my favorites ever and I’m glad WLW people are getting rep but I wish MLM could get that same chance but unfortunately straight dudes rule the world.

TL;DR: We don’t get MLM couples in cartoons because straight people see them as more inherently vile than WLW couples

Uhh MBAV ep ideas or something idk man

Ethan's visions stop. Not just he hasn't had them in a while, no, like they've full on stopped. He keeps trying to trigger them but can't get anything, basically leaving the gang fighting blind. He tries to get to the bottom of it.

Body swap episode (@thatonesongyouretryingtoremember had a very cool idea for this)

The gang learns a classmate of theirs is a fairy. At first they seem all cute tinkerbell but then we learn this is just a front for they're more horrifying appearance. They're probably eating puppies to keep it up or something

Episode where we learn about Jesse's past (how he was turned, the gay shit he was doing with Ethan's ancestor, etc.)

Anastasia has to go undercover in a school to fight some monster

An episode told largely from Jane's perspective where we see what it's like for her dealing with her brother's antics

The entire town is placed under some sort of spell gone wrong that makes it into a film noir whodunnit detective episode

The gang become trapped in their own dreams and have to decide between this fantasy and the real world (kind of a Rose's Room/Normal Again situation)

The gang meet alternate universe versions of themselves who are the exact opposites of them (we already kinda saw this with photo clone Benny, dark Sarah, and a bit of Ethan in Blue Moon) cause I think it would be hilarious if we had emo baddie Rory and then super peppy Erica.

Putting Buffy Characters Into PJO Cabins, Part 2

This part's gonna be covering the rest of the cast outside of the og six.

Most Vampires: Hades Cabin

In the last post I said Angel would be going in Hades Cabin because he's a vampire, and so will every other vampire from the show. But if you want a bit more depth, I think William (human Spike) would be in Apollo due to his poetry, Drusilla would secondarily go in Hecate Cabin due to her psychic powers.

That being said, I am going to put Harmony in Aphrodite (see previous post, basically everything I said about Cordelia in that one applies here) because I don't think she fully fits the dark gothic gloomy Hades Cabin aesthetic.

Oz: Hypnos Cabin

Oz is depicted as being calm, nonchalant, and often a man of few words. His overall relaxed demeanor makes me feel like Hypnos Cabin would be his best suit.

Kendra: Hunter Of Artemis

Kendra could theoretically be in Ares Cabin, but I think being a Hunter works best. She does display battle prowess, but I feel her whole "being raised from a young age by a group" could fit a Hunter backstory.

Faith: Ares Cabin

Faith is legit like if Clarisse had even more issues and was even angrier. Her rage alone makes her a good candidate, but then throw in her fighting skills and she seems a perfect fit. The only caveat is we can't ship Fuffy anymore (nobody's more upset about this than me)

Anya: Nemesis Cabin

Must I explain this? Anya is a vengeance demon, thus it makes sense she's the daughter of the goddess of retribution and vengeance themselves. Although I must be honest, she'd be a hell of a candidate for Aphrodite given all the horniness.

Dawn: Hebe Cabin

Dawn's was the one I struggled on the most. Even Oz' came easier after like 45 seconds of thought. But what about Dawn? What's even her deal? Then I thought about it, Dawn's whole thing is being, for better or for worse, "the kid" amongst the Scoobies. The youngest of them. So I put her in the cabin of the goddess of youth, Hebe.

Tara: Hecate Cabin

Tara's a great witch, and given her witch genes are genetic, I thought this would be fitting. They even call out to Hecate during spells in the show, several times in fact. So I think this one fits like a glove.

The Fandom Erasure of Angel… and the Woman Who Loved Him

There’s a quiet tragedy in the Buffy fandom. Not just in the story. Not just in the deaths or heartbreaks. But in how we talk about it now—how we’ve learned to rewrite it, sanitise it, erase it. And at the center of that erasure are two names:

Angel. And Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Angel isn’t just ignored—he’s actively erased.

He was Buffy’s first love, her true happiness, the reason she understood sacrifice and heroism.

He shaped her growth, her grief, her strength. He changed the trajectory of her entire life.

But in fan spaces today? He’s a footnote. Or worse—he’s mocked. Called boring. “Her high school boyfriend.”

Meanwhile, ships that arrived years later and often harmed her (emotionally, physically, psychologically) are framed as her “real love” because they were messier. Because they were louder.

Angel loved Buffy enough to leave. To die for her. To let her go. But fandom only seems to value the men who stay and hurt her.

Sarah Michelle Gellar remembers what the story was.

Sarah has said time and again: Buffy’s true love was Angel.

She’s never said it cruelly. Never dismissed other actors or arcs. She simply speaks her truth.

And for that, she’s received harassment. Death threats. Online abuse.

It got so bad she left Twitter.

Let that sink in:

The woman who brought Buffy to life was bullied off social media for remembering the love story she helped build.

David Boreanaz has said the same thing. No harassment. James Marsters has said Buffy belonged with Angel. Still adored.

But Sarah? She’s punished for saying her own character was in love.

It’s not just about ships. It’s about whose voice matters.

Sarah is the face, the soul, the heart of the show. But when she speaks, fandom tells her she’s wrong.

They rewrite the narrative not just to erase Angel, but to erase Buffy—the version of her that was young and soft and in love, that believed in something pure and good before the world broke her.

They mock that Buffy as immature. Infantilize her.

This isn’t just fandom discourse. It’s gendered silencing.

Sarah is dismissed. Buffy is rewritten. Angel is erased. Bangel is ridiculed. And the story becomes something it never was.

Final thought:

The saddest thing isn’t just that the love story gets forgotten. It’s that the woman who lived it—onscreen and off—is told to forget it too.

But we remember. And we won’t stop reminding them.

Putting Buffy Characters Into PJO Cabins

Guess who's been watching Buffy again and is also into PJO again. I always see people putting characters into hogwarts houses but never godly cabins, so I decided to do this.

Buffy: Ares Cabin

Buffy is a very skilled and incredibly strong warrior, so I think Ares Cabin would suit her best. Alternatively, I could see her being a Hunter Of Artemis (the hunters being an interesting parallel to the slayers) or Athena Cabin (given she oftentimes uses strategy), but I think Cabin 6 is the place for her, though maybe she could be an Ares Cabin demigod who joins the hunters.

Willow: Athena Cabin

Willow is super smart, and quite honestly a massive nerd. I think Athena Cabin would suit her well. And besides, you don't need to be in Hecate Cabin to be skilled at magic (just look at Hazel)

Xander: Hermes Cabin

Xander is witty and a jokester, a common trait among Hermes' kids. That's really all I have to say about him.

Giles: Athena Cabin

Like Xander, there's not much to say. Giles is wise, intelligent, always seeking knowledge.

Cordelia: Aphrodite Cabin

Do I even need to explain this? Cordelia is obsessed with her looks and is, at the start, a major mean girl, both things we've seen from the Aphrodite Cabin.

Angel: Hades Cabin

To be honest, I only put Angel here because he's a vamp, ergo he gets god of the underworld. However, if I were to be putting Liam here, he'd go with Dionysus (what with the always being drunk and a loser thing)

First of all, WOOHOO a tweet about Sailor Moon got almost 200k likes!

Secondly, YES this is an aspect of Sailor Moon that I've always loved but hesitated to voice just because I don't want to be mistaken for a creep, lol. Both the anime and manga/Crystal reboot utilize nudity not only in an artistic sense, but as a way to represent a character being stripped down to their truest self, the essence of their very soul.

In fact, in the manga, characters in dreams, visions, or in the space between life and death (among other situations) are shown to be entirely naked or are depicted with clothes that seamlessly blend into their bodies.

And of course, the finale of the final arc has Usagi saving the day not through a last-minute power-up form, but by stripping down to her purest, truest self:

Sailor Moon has so many great examples of non-sexual artistic nudity and I hate when people are too immature to see what Naoko Takeuchi was going for.

I also love how, at the same time, Naoko doesn't portray sexuality/sex as something dirty and impure. I've said this before, but in the manga Usagi is heavily implied to be sexually active with Mamoru (in fact, it's outright stated that she's already pregnant with Chibiusa on their wedding day), but in no way does that diminish her role as the purest being in the universe and the star that shines the brightest.

I will keep screaming this into the void forever: Naoko Takeuchi and Sailor Moon really were ahead of their time, and that's why the series still resonates with so many people today.
