im thinking about wj ballet au again and i have a question. what pointe shoe brands do all of the m9 girls wear? as a dancer i know you understand the absolutely character-defining information this is. personally i can't decide if jester is a gaynor or freeds girl. i must know your take on this.

this is such a beautiful question. i'm obsessed Beau, Bloch. It's so obvious to me. Yasha. She wore Russians until they got discontinued and it was devastating. Destroyed her world. They have a "similar model" but it's nothing it's fucking Nothing. Shopping around other Russian makers like R Class, Nikolay kinda shit to see if she can find a new forever style. Nott/Veth. This one is really hard for me. Nott gives me the vibes of my one friend who would get the hardest shoe Grishko made and wear it until the box was as soft as a regular ass ballet shoe and only ended up buying like 1 pair a year, it was truly insane I don't know how she did it. But I don't know if the same is true for Veth and I don't know what else I would give her if not Grishko. Possibly some real obscure ass brand like Chacotts. And ofc Jester. My heart says Gaynors. And maybe that's just bc I personally hate Freeds. But it feels right to me in my soul. Like when I picture her dancing in my head I picture those fuckin suede tips that every popular prodigy girl had at my studio in high school.
