Veilguard needed an epilogue where there's a big party filled with warmth and music and Rook celebrates with their companions and faction and discusses future plans.

Then after that Rook goes back to their room where it's finally quiet and safe and has a crying screaming breakdown (probably in their love interest's arms if they're not dead) as all the trauma hits them at once.
