But seeing my Lavellan return in Veilguard made me giddy already. I can't imagine having all of them show up.

I've been having a blast playing video games lately. BG3 jumpstarted my love for RPGs (that had laid dormant for years) and I've been on a roll ever since.

Was playing through DAO: Awakening, until Veilguard pulled my attention.

My commonplace notebook is filled with ideas for my Rook's backstory and art for all of my DA protagonists.

I'm happy to have rediscovered joy and excitement for my hobbies.

On a lighter note, how could anyone choose who to romance in Veilguard??? I was dead set on the resident GILF, Emmrich, but I am looking RESPECTFULLY at everyone else 😩

“I can’t sleep because…of what we are preparing to do.” Dire says.

“And what is that?” Revan asks. Her head tilted in askance. She already knows the answer, but she wants Dire to say it.

In the dimly lit workshop, Revan tinkers with her latest creation. She does not have a name for it yet, but it should be simple. Before she could finish the thought, the workshop door swooshes open. Revan spans out her senses. It is one of her generals, Dire Narin.

“Revan, may I come in?” asks Dire.

Revan turns around on her stool to fully face her loyal companion with a tired, but warm smile.

"What troubles you at this late hour?" Revan asks, her voice laced with concern and a hint of teasing, “You complained about not having enough sleep not too long ago.”

Revan is met with heavy silence and notes Dire’s nervous energy.

“I cannot sleep because…of what we are preparing to do.” Dire says.

“And what is that?” Revan asks. Her head tilted in askance. She already knows the answer, but she wants Dire to say it.

“The Mass Shadow Generator…I have seen it. I have talked to the engineer, Bao-Dur…Revan, this kind of power. The destruction it will cause- It was different when it was just a plan, an idea. But this is-” Dire stammers.

"Have I ever led you astray, Dire?" Revan asks, her voice gentle but firm.

Confused by the sudden question, Dire shakes her head. "No, Revan. You have not."

“Then, trust me that this will end the war. No more suffering. No more injustice. Is that not what we are here for?” Revan affirms.

“Yes…Revan.” For a moment, Dire feels the prickling rush of shame. Revan is right, the war is for the greater good. How could she question Revan?

Blasphemous, Dire’s mind whispers.

“Oh, my dear Dire.” Revan stands to clasp her general’s shoulders. “Your heart is so pure. So true. It is why I trust you with this. It is a heavy responsibility to be sure, but I would not have place it upon you if I did not trust you to do what is right. What is just.”

The gnawing uncertainty that sits heavy in Dire’s chest fades away as she looks up to Revan.

“Rest assured, Dire. This war will be over soon. Everything will change, but for the better.” Dire feels the iron grip of Revan’s hand on her shoulder. Unyielding. Towering.

No, steady and firm.

A knock cuts through the moment. It is Malak.

“Revan, may I have a word?” Malak pointedly asks. Silent words were exchanged between Malak and Revan. A mental conversation that Dire is not privy to.

Revan finally acquiesces, “I’m sorry to cut our time short, General Dire. Malak and I have some things to discuss before we depart for Malachor V.“

“Of course. I will take my leave.” Dire bows her head to her superiors and leaves the room.

As the door closes behind Dire, the weight of decisions yet to be made hangs heavy in the air. But her steps are sure, ringing through the empty hallway. There is a war she needs to end.

Revan is the prima ballerina but switched to another ballet company. It was a whole ordeal

Dire is another up and coming dancer (her teacher is obvs Kreia)

How is Kreia supposed to teach if she's blind? Idk and i dont care

Atton...idk what he's doing but I want him to fall in love at first sight with Dire during a show.

The drama between the crew on the Ebon Hawk being filmed as a reality TV show (bc they definitely experienced cabin fever)

Moments of petty drama:

Atton complaining about an "old person smell"

PDA between the Exile & Atton being too much for the crew

Atton pranking Mical out of jealousy (maybe eating Mical’s food from the communal fridge)

Someone messed up Bao-Dur’s work station and his hydrospanner is missing. He suspects G0-T0.

T3-M4 pranking on Atton for calling him a trash compactor (his talking head is just saying “deet-deet”)

HK-47 saying the most out-of-pocket shit and everyone is ✋💀

There must be that Shhheeiiinnnggg SFX

This is one of the things i wish i could animate but i’m too lazy and my motivation is like a fart. Hot but shortlived.

The Revan and Her General

I headcanon that my exile greatly idolised Revan, a big sister she never had. But down the line, she could sense Revan was on a path she could not follow.

Seriousness aside, I wanted to draw Revan's mask but my god i could not get the hood right. I gave up and just straight up drew her face in.

🎲 Suzerainty (deleted scene)

Harry and Kim play Suzerainty to kill time before they meet The Pigs at the old fish market

Harry is excited to play, Kim isn’t because he thinks it’s childish

Kim wanted to pick off the board game pieces tho and even asked to (kinda like popping packing bubbles). It's therapeutic.

Kim kicks off the game session

They started really getting into it by the 1st hour

Kim was leading by a long shot. Harry is not happy about this and starts going on the offensive in his strategy.

Harry manages to catch up to Kim but blows it over a risky move and lost all his in-game resources

Deep inside, both men know Kim will win but Harry still tries his damn best to salvage what he has. It was for naught.

They tally the scores and sure enough, Kim wins by a long LONG shot

Kim is smug about it but at least tries to hide it (he’s bad at acting)

Disappointed as Harry is about losing, he was happy to see Kim enjoy himself. It’s rare to see the Revacholian man crack even a smile.

They clean up the board game and Harry happily says they should play again so he could try to win

Kim offhandedly says that he highly doubts it since they won’t be seeing each other after they close the murder case

Harry is reminded that Kim is not his friend, but his colleague, his subordinate. He’s reminded that he basically knows no one and will be back to being alone again.

Kim catches on to this and says “Unless you are ready to lose again, that is”. Despite his earlier misgivings about Harry, he’s come to enjoy working with the guy and doesn’t actually mind playing another round of Suzerainty with him.

Harry knows what Kim means and beams.

They both get ready and exit Harry’s shack to meet The Pigs.

I just love this moment in the game. Let Harry and Kim play all the board games!! 😭

Idea: Harry starts a TTRPG club at the 41st Precinct. Kim is actually pretty good GM. Vicquemare says it's for losers, but definitely wants to join.

Disco Elysium AU

AU where Kim meets young Harry who had just joined Homicide

Harry was investigating a murder when Kim shows up

Kim initially doesn’t recognise young!Harry since he is still in peak physical & mental fitness

Unlike Harry of the present, past Harry is sharp but still affable. He caught on that Kim isn’t a normal civilian but a cop.

Kim thinks fast on his feet and rolls with it. He admits to being deep undercover as the pinball master, “Kimball the Pinball” as his cover story.

Due to the cover story not being far from the actual truth (just bent slightly to the left), Harry accepts it

I want to read this, but it also means I have to write it, so no. I just want a Kim to say "Kimball the Pinball" with a straight face 😬

looking through my disco elysium art makes me want to play it again. It was an Experience. Legit, i sat at the couch, just staring at the end credits. I felt bereft for I knew I had witnessed something great, such a moment cannot be recaptured again.

the game was so good....so so good 😭
