This song is part of the 星火行动 (Spark Actions?) song series as well as the 人·間 (Human · ity) album. The 人·間 (Human · ity) album focuses on the Seven Emotions (七情), so this song is centered around sadness (悲), which is one of the Seven Emotions. Taking this from the Moegirl entry for this song (which is also where I got the lyrics from), this song about the "suffering of a person who goes un-understood" and how such a person would internalize and mix the contradictions between their own sense of good and bad in comparison with the people around them. It's quite a hard hitting song, and I'm not sure I did its translation justice.

long time no see. it's been a wild couple years since I've been on this blog. I've started uni majoring in Chinese, so my Chinese has certainly improved

couple of updates for this blog

I've gotten into Genshin Impact, which means that I'm now open to translating Genshin Impact songs from Chinese to English

TN: I’m actually kind of torn between translating the title as “The Day a Tsundere Boy Confesses” (which is actually a lot closer to the original Chinese) or as “The Day I Confess to a Tsundere Boy” (which takes into account the perspective of Ling as she waits for a confession :’D) but I’m leaving it as the former for now.

Ahhhhhh I finished this translation, finally! Qingxian’s voice is so nice and Longya is just wow. Moving Point really knows his stuff like wow. The version with Qingxian’s voice provider, Ming Yue, is great too!
