“Hey Quinn let me ask you something? Has Em ever mentioned this Kai guy.” Elijah asked Quinn as Quinn tilted her head and sighed. “Here we go. Em finally told you.” “You knew?” “Only because she didn’t know how to tell you! I was just the practice dummy.” Elijah rolled his eyes and scoffed. Quinn’s looked at him with a soft expression. “Look she knew how important finding your mothers last journal was to you and she didn’t wanna ruin this for you. And by the way you are not allowed to be mad!” She told him seriously as he rolled his eyes. “Really? I’m not allowed to be mad that she hooked up with this guy right after we broke up?” “It was not right after and seriously.” She stated. “You tried to hook up with me the night after you two broke up!” She reminded him in a hushed tone as he winced at that the reminder. “I would never tell Em that but Lijah you almost got with Gia. Kai was just a rebound.” She told him reassuringly. “Do girls fall in love with rebounds?” He asked after a moment. “Every time, but it’s not real love. Your head tricks you into it to protect you from the crushing pain your heart is putting you through.” She said seriously as Elijah let out a deep sigh. “So go kiss it out. It’s gonna be fine.” She said motioning over to where her best friend was with Alexander over near the food and of course there was Kai standing directly beside her trying to get her attention. “I would. If I could squeeze in between her and rebound guy.” He said strongly staring at the two and he couldn’t stand the way Kai was standing next to HIS wife and son knowing they had a history together.

“What did you say to her?” Asked Nadias skeptically. “Actually I told her I’d think about it.” “Quinn are you telling this is something you would actually consider?” Asked Nadia who looked surprised. “I have to tell you…I’m not completely comfortable with the idea.” “I would expect you to be violently uncomfortable with the idea.” “But I didn’t want to be biased about it so I did think about it.” Explained Quinn. “Yeah, and?” “And I think it would be awful to be in Rebekah‘s position. Wanting to have a baby so badly but being stuck in a position where you wouldn’t be able to carry it to full term even if there was the slightest chance that she did get pregnant. So what option does she have? Quinn stood in Klaus and hers room as she finishing putting away their clothes and as she picked up one of Klaus’s shirts. She looked at it as she remembered a significant moment in their relationship involving this shirt. *Flashback* “I want to do something okay?” Quinn told Klaus as she was standing at the edge of his bed while he was sitting o it. She took off her shirt as Klaus looked at her carefully as she tossed aside. “Quinn?” He said cautiously. “No. It’s okay.” She reassured him. “It’s okay.” She said as she smiled before she kissed him passionately as she laid below him as they switched positions their kisses passionate and tender. The rain outside pouring hard against the window yet also making it so incredibly romantic. They pulled away moments later as their foreheads rested against each other. “I could love you forever.” Klaus whispered passionately. “So could I.” “Your my family now Quinn. The one true thing I have. I never wanna lose you.” “You won’t.” Quinn promised him softly as she looked at him as he looked at her with this look on his face that made her ask about it. “What?” She asked him and he was quiet for several moments before he spoke. “Marry me?” “Stop it.” She said nervously as she gently hit him in the chest playfully. “What? Will you? Quinn knew that he was completely serious but she couldn’t help but laugh nervously. “ Oh, you’re embarrassing me.” She said as she moved to sit up all the way. “Why not?” Klaus asked her. “Because… your the hybrid.” She said trying to think of a good excuse but she knew that was a total lie and that was not the reason she would not marry him. Quinn narrowed her eyes at him with a serious expression. “Is this about sex because I wanna wait till after our babies are born?” “No. I can see you caving in on that one already.” He told her with a smirk on his lips. “Look. I need to apologize okay.” “You should buy them in bulk if you’re going to hand apologies out that often.” Quinn told him. “Look will you just…I don’t know how to do this alright?” He admitted to her. “I’m not like you.” “What does that mean?” Quinn said looking at him defensively. “I screw up a lot alright. And being around you. I just…I don’t want to be that guy anymore.” He told her seriously and genuinely. “Well who do you want to be Klaus?” Quinn demanded. “I want to be someone who’s good enough to be seen with you.” Quinn stared at him for a moment to see if he was telling the truth before speaking. “Well you should’ve thought about that a week ago! You know I keep putting myself, my better judgment, and my relationship with my loved ones out there for you and you keep blowing it! Which is probably a good thing because at this point there’s nothing that you can say or do that’s going to surprise me!” Quinn was cut off when suddenly Klaus leaned down and kissed her lips. As he pulled away, Quinn was shocked. Her eyes were wide, and her heart was beating so fast. She was sure it was going to pop out of her chest any moment. “Expect that.” Quinn breathed out. “You shouldn’t have done that Klaus.” Quinn said in a breathy soft tone. “But I wanted to.” Klaus told her giving her a small smile. “Yes.” Quinn said her voice almost a whisper before she stared at him a moment longer before throwing her arms around his neck and leaning up and kissing him. As she pulled away from the kiss moments later. She could see Klaus’s shocked and surprised yet genuinely happy look on Klaus’s face as she just smiled at him nervously, and he returned her smile, and she knew there was no way they could turn back whatever this was now. End of flashback.* Quinn was smiling down at her children as she remembered that day. That kiss. Their very first kiss and she was not over exaggerating when she said it was absolutely perfect. No fairytale could compare. “And they lived happily ever after! Right mommy?!” Phoebe asked her eagerly a large smile draped across her daughters lips. “Yes they did sweetheart.” Quinn smiled at her daughters enthusiasm. “Tell us another one auntie Quinn?!” Alexander begged her eagerly.

“No!!” Phoebe whined. “We don’t want to go to sleep yet mommy!” “We’re not tired!” Alexander said. Quinn couldn’t help shake her head with a small laugh at the two children who were staring at her with those big adorable eyes. Their arms crossed around their chests in a firm disappointed manner. “Alright.” Quinn said giving in. “You don’t have to go to bed yet, but how about the two of you join Henry and I on the couch for a snuggle.” “Will you tell us a story mama?!” “Alright Pheebs mommy will tell you a story but you have to get on that couch right now.” She told the two children who immediately climbed onto the couch as Quinn sat down in the middle of all the children. Emilia, Elijah, Kol, Marcel, Rebekah, and Freya all walked into the living room. “Isn’t it a little past your bedtime.” Elijah asked. Quinn convinced her best friend and Elijah, Rebekah and Marcel all to go out together on a double date since it’s been a while since they all had some time together and Quinn loved watching Alexander and his cousin loved being able to spend time with him so it was really no issue at all. Plus Klaus was in New Orleans so it all worked out. “Oh come on Elijah. Elijah had sat down on a chair, grabbing Emilia’s hand and pulling her down in his lap, holding both the lives of his life against him. Marcel and Rebekah were sitting on another chair, cuddled up close together while Kol and Freya stayed standing. “Yes. We’re all in the mood for a story and you’re one of the best storytellers we know Quinn.” Marcel said and Quinn smiled at him appreciatively. She thought for a moment before looking at all three of the children. “Alright. This is the story of the hybrid and the witch. It started when the hybrid came into her little town on a mission and the witch agreed to help him to keep her friends safe but the more time they spent together with the witch helping him, the more they both knew it was something much more.” Quinn said, referring to when Klaus first came to town for Elena so he could complete his ritual and become the first ever hybrid. “And one day when the hybrid had screwed up…yet again.” Quinn couldn’t help but look at all the siblings, and her best friend as they all gave the same look, knowing how Klaus could be. Quinn then continued on with the story. *Flashback. Quinn was just returning home from a long brutal cheerleading practice. It had been a week since Klaus killed Jenna and Quinn was so angry at him, even hurt, especially because he promised her nobody she cared about was going to get hurt or die and he broke that promise. At least however Jenna had Stefan to help her adjust to being a vampire and that Jenna had moved into the boarding house temporarily for now until she could learn to control her blood lust. Elena and Jermey had already lost enough. They didn’t deserve to lose any more. Quinn as she approached her home was quite surprised to see Klaus Mikaelson standing on the sidewalk of her home, throwing pebbles at her bedroom window. Elijah was looking through the glass at his wife laying in that hospital bed her body weak and deathly sick. It was breaking his heart to see his wife so weak and sick and knowing there was nothing he could do about it. “What’s going on Meredith?” He turned to her. “How long do I have to watch my wife suffer like this?!” Meredith looked sympathetically at Elijah. “Meredith look at her. She’s barely holding on now?” “Emilias condition is deteriorating.” Meredith said. “Meredith isn’t there anything at all that you can do?” Rebekah asked standing next to Elijah. “Emilia’s test results came back. We were able to identify the bacteria responsible for the tuberculosis.” “But can you combat it?” Elijah questioned. She nodded slowly. “Yes. Yes we have the drugs that this particular strain of TB should respond to but…the tuberculosis is spreading. We have to medicate Emilia as soon as possible. “Well then do it!” Elijah said firmly and seriously. Meredith sighed. “Elijah we can’t. She won’t let us. Not until we take the baby.” Elijah looked distressed and conflicted at Meredith’s words. “And we’ve done another amnio and they’re still PG negative.” “His lungs haven’t developed yet?” “Not as much as we would like. Emilia has been extremely heroic. But this can’t go on any longer. If we don’t induce…” “Meredith have you told her this?” Elijah asked desperately and seriously as Meredith nodded. Quinn looked at her sister sympathetically. “Listen sis. I love you and the last thing I would ever want to do is destroy this love that you believe you have found but dad is scared to death he’s going to lose mom. Which is why you have to end this Nadia. Be honest with yourself. The only reason you’re with Clark is to get to Vincent.” “That’s not true Quinn. I love Clark. My relationship with him has nothing to do with Vincent.” She said strongly as Quinn sighed. “Naddy.” She began. “You’re putting me in a situation that I don’t wanna have to be put in.” “Well then why don’t you stay out of my relationship?” “Because Nadia this isn’t just about you! Your relationship is possibly fatal to our mother and I will not risk her life because you and Clark cannot control your damn hormones! Do you think I enjoy this? Making your life miserable because I don’t, but dad is scared to death he’s gonna lose his wife and honestly, I’m scared we’re gonna lose our mother and saw this thing with a Clark has to end today.” “Oh that’s rich coming from you. “Well Henry sweetheart your uncle Stefan won’t call me back.” Quinn said putting her phone back in her purse. “Hey look! There’s grandpa!” Henry said as Quinn looked over to see Mikeal a-crossed from them looking at them hesitantly. Quinn looked at her son who looked a bit sad before Quinn reached into her purse and pulled out a picture Henry had made for Mikeal. “Hey I have an idea. Why don’t you go give your card to your grandpa?” She suggested handing to her son as he ran over to Mikeal. “Grandpa Mikeal!” He said as Mikeal bent down to his level and looked at the card Henry handed him. There was a picture of Mikeal and Henry holding hands and on the bottom it read best friend. Mikeal smiled up at Henry as Henry smiled back at him and hugged Mikeal who embraced him back. “You’re my best friend.” He told the little boy. “Thank you.” Mikeal whispered in his ear. Henry ran back over to Quinn as she gently touched her little boys back. “Go with uncle Vincent please. Mommy will be there in a minute.” She said before she looked at Mikeal a conflicted expression on her face. “Thank you Quinn.” Mikeal said genuinely. “That wasn’t for you. That was for him.” She said seriously referring to her son before she turned to go after her son.

Quinn’s looked at him with a soft expression. “Look she knew how important finding your mothers last journal was to you and she didn’t wanna ruin this for you. And by the way you are not allowed to be mad!” She told him seriously as he rolled his eyes. “Really? I’m not allowed to be mad that she hooked up with this guy right after we broke up?” “It was not right after and seriously.” She stated. “You tried to hook up with me the night after you two broke up!” She reminded him in a hushed tone as he winced at that the reminder. “I would never tell Em that but Lijah you almost got with Gia. Kai was just a rebound.” She told him reassuringly. “Do girls fall in love with rebounds?” He asked after a moment. “Every time, but it’s not real love. Your head tricks you into it to protect you from the crushing pain your heart is putting you through.” She said seriously as Elijah let out a deep sigh. “So go kiss it out. It’s gonna be fine.” She said motioning over to where her best friend was with Alexander over near the food and of course there was Kai standing directly beside her trying to get her attention. “I would. "Here you go Ma'am." The delivery man said handing Quinn the large flower display. "Thank you." Quinn said as the man left before shutting the door. "Oh boy!" Her mother said impresses as she emerged from the top of stairs as Quinn was putting the flower arrangement down. "Look at that arrangement! Is that for Nadia?!" "No mom. It's for you." Quinn said smiling. "For me?!" Katherine said shocked as Quinn handed the note that came with the flowers. "Your kidding." Katherine said in disbelief. "To Katherine with thanks for bringing such a beautiful daughter into the world. With love from your future son-in-law." Katherine read the note. "He is so perfect!" Katherine said handing Quinn the note and going to get a better look at the beautiful flower arrangement sent from Kent who was Nadia's fiancé as of a few weeks ago. "Yes. Maybe a little to perfect." Quinn said on edge. "What's that supposed to mean?" Katherine asked her daughter. "Oh well..." Quinn began looking down intensely at the note. "I don't know. It just seems like he's kind of rehearsed. Like he...he's watching himself." "Well he's just different than what you're used too. He's not an original hybrid ass that chased me around the world for 500 years making my life miserable." Her mother said. Quinn chose to ignore the last remark her mother made as she just looked at her. "Maybe your right." Quinn said sinking in her mothers words as she put the note back in the flowers. "Oh, let's bring this into the living room." Katherine said referring to the flower arrangement as she smelt the wonderful fragrance of flowers once more. "Wait until your sister sees it! Oh, I've never seen anything so beautiful!" Her mother gushed as Quinn lifted the beautiful flower arrangement in her arms. "Or heavy." Quinn said, carrying the arrangement into the dining room but she still couldn't shake the feeling of uncertainty she felt whenever Kent was concerned and she had felt that way since she met him a few weeks ago when her sister and he got engaged.

“Quinn. I really think you need to tell Klaus about this guy. I know that you can take care of yourself and I know you don't like to ask for help but we're all really concerned about you. This guy is not getting the hint. You told us yourself that he's been following you around. That he's been watching you naked. Making threats. Quinn, this is not a man you can reason with. And you can't take any chances, especially not with the kids. What if he comes after you and you have the kids. Who knows what he might do to you. Yes, you're a witch, but so is he and you're too nice and forgiving. Please please just tell Klaus. What if this man does more than just threatens you and follows you around Quinn." Rebekah said seriously concern dripping from her lips. "Rebekah's right Quinn." Elena agreed as they were all at the grill getting lunch together after going shopping. "Listen guys. I love you and I appreciate your concern, but I can take care of this guy. So please don't make me tell Klaus and don't you guys say anything either. Unless this guy physically attacks my children then I don't want a word to Klaus about it. Please tell me you guys understand? This is just a man with an obsession. Soon enough, he'll be over it and leave town and I'll never have to see him again." Quinn said calmly trying to reassure her sister-in-law and her friends about this man that came into town a few months ago and ever since then has made every pass at her possible. "Quinn. I don't think that's fair of you to ask of us." Bonnie said. "No you're right Bon. It isn't ." Elena said looking seriously Quinn. "Quinnie. This man follows you around town constantly. Has pictures of you naked and gosh knows what else. He has no intention of leaving you alone. He wants you and it's clear he'll do whatever he hast to do to get you and I wish that you would care enough about yourself to stop being so naïve and do something about this guy because talking to him is not working." Quinn sighed deeply at Elena's words, and she knew that everyone was right but the last thing she wanted was Klaus involved in this. not when he had his own things to worry about. Plus, she didn't want to make this thing bigger than it already was. "Matt." Quinn smiled at Matt when he came over to the table with their food. "Hi Quinn." He greeted. "This is for you." He said and after he put the food down, he put a envelope down in front of Quinn and she looked at it picking it up. "What is this Matt?" " I don't know. Some guy came up to the bar, gave it to me and said to give it to you. I've got to get back to work. I'll see you guys later." Quinn looked at all the girls for a moment before opening the envelope. Inside was a picture of her from a few weeks ago. She turned it over, reading the wording to herself on the back. "You shouldn't wear such a sexy little top in public. It might give people the wrong impression." Quinn knew who this was from and it made her stomach still with dread. "Quinn?" Rebekah asked her concerned, taking the picture from her before she could protest and reading the back. "I'm going to kill him." She growled. "No Bek's you aren't. He's just trying to scare me, that's all this is. I'm not going to let that happen."
