⚠️Warning : Rant ⚠️ Something that has been brought to my attention several times is the fact that I have tattoos. It seems to shock people a lot that I have them because I don't always have them displayed for the whole world to see ( by choice ) so I can understand why me having them may be a surprise to some but my tattoos should never be a concern nor a problem of yours. Here are a few of things I have herd since I have been 'inked', "you will never find a husband with those tattoos," "you'll never find a decent job," "what are they gonna look like when you're older," and my favorite of all, "what do your parents think about their daughter having tattoos." Well, I am going to give you a very easy explanation that should cover all of these questions and prevent new ones in the further. My tattoos are for ME. Not you, not my parents, me. When I look at my tattoos I smile because they have wonderful memories behind them. The Disney one on my thigh is for all the memories my family has there. My favorite memory is there, I was a toddler an my dad and I were at Cinderella's Castle making a bracelet. He helped me pick everything and he put it together for me and I still have it to this day. It means the world to me. The flower on my shoulder is about my depression/anxiety and what I've personally gone through. The swords on the back on my calve are a symbol of my interests; things that I am interested in and what makes me different from others. Now, if a man chooses not to date/marry me due to my tattoos, GREAT! I do not want the father of my (future) children being so closed minded to the point he wouldn't be able to accept his own children. My parents have always had an open door policy, whenever I messed up or I was scared, they were always there. They were my team. I want that for my children as well. That leads me to "what do your parents think." They honestly do not care. Are they excited? No. Are they mad? No. They do not care because I am not out here getting tattoos Willy Nilly, I can cover them up easily and they are all meaning full to me. Oh, and yes, I do plan on getting more. Thanks for wondering. #tattorant #ink #thisshouldntbeanissueintodayssociety
