♡ If you have one, what's your ship name?

kokomiya !! just a silly basic little shipname cuz those are the ones i'm used to in most fandoms and i'm simply not creative enough to think of something unique and funny.

i honestly like the tag misconceptions more than i do the ship name, because i Thought about that for a little while even though its kinda basic so it doesn't even really seem like i did much thinking. but for a long time we didn't like each other, he thought i was wayyy too nice and just going to be used by everyone around me ( deadass projecting but go off koko dearest ) and i couldn't understand why he has such a grudge against me. we understand each other a little bit too well in some regards, despite each of us being on the opposite ends of The Horrors. sometimes he mentions that i would understand inupi more than i understand him, and he just doesn't understand why i'd choose someone like him when it's so obvious that he had the capability to hurt others. he's so blinded by his lack of self worth and inability to truly understand other people's depths that there's just a lot of miscommunication between the two of us for a really long time.

♡ What song would you duet for some chaotic late night karaoke?

umbrella by rihanna. is it because of that one scene with inupi where koko was hiding behind the umbrella and trying his best to act confident even when he was losing it a little bit ? yeah. maybe. who cares. it's also a BITCHING song and you can't look me in the eyes and tell me he doesn't know it by heart. and to be very clear, i'm not saying he's gonna be jay z and i'm rihanna. we alternate lines like how god intended. i will step out of the spotlight this one time and let him have the last little bit with the last few lines because i feel like he needs them a little bit. maybe it would do his psyche some good who knows.

in the tune of rihanna, also s&m is a very good choice. my minds eye can see him swaying his hips and doing a little dance and dammit he's feeling himself. gonna do that silly debby ryan thing where he pushes his hair behind his ears trying to be hot but its kokonoi hajime so it just works idk how to explain it. first verse is his and he'll sing it alone, i'll just sing the background vocals. we alternate the lines of the chorus & sing the post chorus ' come on, come on, come on ' part together at the same time. second verse is mine. if you see him blushing at the mention of whips and chains no for the love of god you do not.

♡ If you were dogs, what breeds would you be?

so he's definitely going to be something like a doodle or a golden doodle. something that looks pretty but actually may not be the best pets. i lived in a house with golden doodles and let me tell you they were wild and rowdy if not trained right and also practically impossible to kennel train at any point in time, and maybe it was just the dogs that the person had but they had the worst separation anxiety i've ever seen in dogs, and that's pretty much just koko. if you look at them from a distance you think that they're pretty and fancy looking and then you spend more than a minute in the same room with them and you realize that they're actually a handful, and i love koko for that.

for myself, i don't really have an in depth answer. i like pomeranians and also i too have a bark wayyy bigger than my entire bodyweight. they're like 3 apples tall and mostly fur, and have one of those super annoying barks that just simply don't shut up ever, and i'd like to think that's me going on and on and on about stuff that no one objectively really cares about. they're also extroverted but can get aggressive with dogs much bigger than their own size. and yeah that honestly just checks out with me i will body check a dog 4x my size because i don't like the way that it didn't look at me.

♡ Describe how your f/o smells, be absurdly specific.

oh boy he's expensive but also depressed. you can tell he's having one of those days where he just can't be half assed with anything because the cologne he wears will be sprayed so much that you can't smell anything else. he chooses savage from dior because it's one of those colognes that covers up everything else with just a little bit sprayed, but he'll still overspray it to the point it almost chokes you with the scent of it. if he's not wearing any cologne ( rare, but not impossible. i just have to catch him at the right time ) he probably smells like a mix between his lotion he wears and his body wash / exfoliant. he shops at bath and body works for lotions because he likes the deals and also has a thing for their candles.

if he's out doing ' business ' i think honestly he sweats wayyy more than he likes to let on especially since most uniforms are a jacket of some kind and they're actively fighting most of the time, so he has to use a pretty strong deodorant to hide it. definitely carries deodorant with him and he's so shameless about it. he definitely hops into the shower the moment he's home though.

sometimes, though, he smells like blood and a housefire, with the smell of smoke so thoroughly coated in his hair and blood underneath his fingernails, and i can't mention it because it's really not the important part going on right now. sometimes i just gotta pull him into the shower and wash his hair for him really well and fix dinner for him without mentioning it. tears or worried words from either one of us may break the fragile thread hanging on and it's just not worth it. i know he's okay, he knows that he's safe. it's,,, important that the nights we're together stay as normal for him as possible, especially on nights like those.

sunday knew that the family was not going to let him have a moment of rest, that's just the way that the world worked. they had decided to put on this ball for the rest of the neighboring nations' courts as if as a proclamation that the family was not to be trifled with. after all, flaunting wealth was the best way to show that a nation was in no way weak. and the ball was beautiful, probably one of the dreamiest and ethereal places that one could imagine. the family had poured a large amount of resources to maintain this beautiful waking dream, and sunday, as one of the major heads of the family, was required to keep up this image no matter what. after all, should anyone see the cracks in the gold, they may realize that it had never been gold to begin with. but that did not mean that he wasn't going to have his own secret moments anyways. he entirely planned for a short hour that he would have to sneak away for a moment to himself, should everything go to plan the way he wanted them to.

sunday had hoped that the letter reached it's appropriate reciprocate. he hadn't been able to foresee the matter done with his own hands, but he had a messenger send it to the doorstep of the person that he was looking for some time with. it was safe to say that he knew dmtryo wasn't expecting an invitation to the ball, but he also knew that he would attend nevertheless, if not only because it was a direct order from sunday himself. however, attached to the letter, was another note, written on the back personally by sunday himself. he had written simple instructions, to meet in the garden behind the penacony grand theatre right as the sun went down, when the sky turned a light orange color and the sun was not nearly as bright in the sky as it usually was. getting to the garden was a problem in of itself, but as he approached, he saw dmtryo there, sitting patiently with the note in hand exactly where sunday had instructed him to be, her face unreadable as he reread the letter sunday had given him.

" you came, " sunday whispered, breathlessly, able to finally feel the tension in his shoulders ease slightly as he stood in front of where dmtryo was sat on the garden ledge wall. surely, this was a moment of peace, a portion of heaven in hiding that sunday could not afford to let slip through his fingers, especially since it had been rather difficult to get here in the first place. he in particular was never a fan of grand showcases as this ball, and he knew that dmytro would rather be in a more private area, too. of course, he knew that it was wrong of him to meet up with someone like this, especially someone like dmtryo. they really shouldn't be alone in the same room together, it was obvious that sunday still harbored feelings for him no matter how much he wanted to push the feelings away. but perhaps he could allow himself one hour of selfishness for the night. sunday brushed off an invisible speck of dust off of his pristine white suit, settling down on the ledge wall next to dmtryo, twisting back slightly to pick a flower, and handing it to her. he would be safe with sunday, at least for this hour. for this hour, he would let himself pretend that dmtryo was his, and he was hers. whether that was the truth or not remained to be seen, but sunday was more than willing to close his eyes and dream for just a little while.

in the background, as he closed his eyes, he could hear the faint sound of the orchestra coming to the most intense part of the song that they were playing, as well as robin's angelic voice. he would have to think of a way to make it up to her for allowing him this moment of peace. neither one of them really said anything as they sat there in each other's presence, neither one really finding the need or the words to say. sunday was content just to let himself slip into a peaceful dream for a little while with dmtryo by his side. this is what gentle love was like, what peace was.

I met Sunday through Robin! Originally I was hired as a last minute tailor to fix one of her costumes while she was on tour, but we got along rlly well so she asked I be made a part of her usual team! I met Sunday eventually because everyone who works with her eventually meets him.

Music! Though we play very different instruments (he plays violin, and I play bass guitar.)

Me: egg and cheese wrap, usually spicy.

Sunday: he likes to order very plain, basic things when we’re out and about bc it’s easier to keep up his appearance. But he absolutely loves those crepes with fruit and custard and whipped cream.

Often if we plan to eat at home we actually switch who orders what, I’m not entirely sure why it matters that he likes sweets. But it soothes his anxiety so I’m happy to pretend I like custard sometimes.

I really like kissing the base of his wings, the feathers are so fine they almost feel like fur, and it always makes him fluttery.

He likes to kiss the backs of my hands and my forehead, I think it’s cute.

In general it’s just… another part of dewlight pavilion. Sunday’s room is plain, he’s got a handful of knickknacks from when he was a kid and little things I’ve given him. It definitely looks like he doesn’t spend much time there.

Mine has a lot more character to it, pretty much every inch of wall has a poster or print or something tacked on. My nest bed is a mess of mismatched blankets and pillows. I have lots of books and just as many knickknacks and collections of things.

Sunday did with actual words, but in practice I unintentionally did bc i did nooooooot pick up on bird flirting nor did i realize I was doing it back. (He taught me how to preen his wings, and after we were done I played him a song a wrote for him and showed him how cozy my room is.)

I was practically begging him to ask me out, it’s comical in hindsight. Like- did I love him? Yeah absolutely but I’d planned on keeping it lowk for a while longer.

Night owls the both of us, I do noooooooot like people and I will happily inconvenience myself to avoid them, which does include doing everything at night except things that I literally cannot do (mainly dr appointments)

Spyke was originally a night person bc when he was younger most people wouldn’t talk to him during the day bc oooo scary alley guy, and it just kinda became the norm.

I can’t link just the Spyke section but it’s there!! Ignore how unfinished it the rest of them are lmao.

But!! Neither of us are particularly messy, there’s stuff everywhere but nothing is like, out of place? The stuff in the livingroom may be everywhere but it’s all shit you’d expect to see in a livingroom anyway. Oh and my nerd shit leaks into every corner of the place.

It’s also not, a nice apartment. Like it was 100% built in (the splatoon equivalent of) the 80s and never updated besides getting the landlord special occasionally. That being said it’s cheap, we have heat and power, it works.

Dmtryo: ball mode, probably wrapped around a pillow or spyke’s arm.

Spyke: very normal, sleeps on his front usually. Will sometimes wrap around Dmtryo if he clings to his arm, is even more likely to do this if he’s warm (bc Dmtryo is perpetually frigid)

Dmtryo, bc he was anxiety rambling and it just kinda, fell out of his mouth. Followed immediately by him literally running away. “Okay anyway I should uh- go catch my bus home bye!” Type shit. I think Spyke wanted to follow him and figure out what in the blue fuck he meant, bc they’d said they’d loved each other in a /p way more than once (especially while drunk) but that. That did NOT feel platonic, but he also knows enough about Dmtryo that if he doesn’t let him escape the dude is just gonna dig his heels in and deny it harder.

So he waits until Dmtryo calls him a couple days later, and they talk about it over shitty semi frozen leftovers he fished out of his mini fridge because neither of them wanted to go down to the communal kitchen and use the microwave (Dmtryo has not dropped out yet and is still living in his tiny uni dorm at this point)
