Unexpected Rescue Pt 2
As a birthday present for @karsyntries here's some more of the Jackie x Reader We got plot, slight lore and Jackie being...Jackie
Part 1: Link
-------------------
During the next week, you couldn’t get that day out of your mind. You still didn’t understand what those guys wanted, why they were organized to go after you. There wasn’t anything really special about you. Just trying to get through every day, hour by hour, like most people in this city. You also couldn’t forget about the guy who saved you. ‘Jackieboyman’ as he had called himself. That name was definitely made up on the spot. Nothing would convince you otherwise. But there was something…different about that man. The strength was far from normal. It didn’t matter how much one worked out; there was no way that was possible for an average human. So either Jackie wasn’t human, or something happened to him.
The dreadful realization that you actually were trapped in a superhero film almost felt like a smack to the forehead by an oversized palm.
You hadn’t really talked to anyone about that night. How did you explain that to someone without sounding like you hallucinated half of it as soon as Mr. Boyman showed up? Maybe you did dream it up? It was late, and you were tired, but there was no way it didn’t happen. There was no denying it.
And there really was no denying it when you saw that same man standing next to a food truck with his face stuffed with half of the burrito he held in his hands.
That was your hero?
At least he had good taste because this food truck was one of your favorites. But your dinner could wait because you needed answers, and Jackie was likely your only way to get some of those.
Here’s hoping he was just a dork and not an idiot.
“Hey, Jackie.” You greeted after walking up to the man.
“Do I-uh-do I know you?” Jackie’s attempt at lying had you rolling your eyes.
“Really? Do I have to call you Jackieboyman?” You saw the change in Jackie’s face, watching him look around a bit panicked before taking your wrist and walking you away from the others, slipping the two of you into a place sparse of people.
“How did you know it was me?” Jackie asked.
“The Clark Kent effect only works when the hero's name isn’t the person’s name with a few extra syllables.”
“I didn’t have much time to think about it.”
“I knew it!”
“Okay, okay, you were right. You don’t gotta yell.” Jackie tried to get you to quiet down by using a softer tone.
“Do you know why those guys were after me?” You suddenly asked and saw how Jackie wasn’t prepared for that question since he just blinked at you. “There was no way that was just a simple mugging. They were too organized for that.”
“Oh…” Jackie awkwardly cleared his throat and rubbed the back of his neck. “It’s-uh-it’s nothing you need to worry about.”
“Nothing I need to worry about?” You scoffed. “Seriously? Something’s up, and I’m not letting it go. I will cause the biggest scene if you don’t give me answers because I can tell you’re hiding something.” You added to your point by taking in a deep breath, threatening to let out a scream.
Did that feel a bit childish? Yes. But it would at least get people to look, and you could tell Jackie didn’t want that.
“Don’t, don’t, don’t,” Jackie spoke quickly and waved his hands. “Listen, I…I don’t know much myself right now, to be honest.”
“Well, what do you know?”
“Those dudes…they…they-uh-they wanted to…” Jackie inhaled through his teeth. “They wanted to take you.”
“Take me? What do you mean by that? Taking a person has a long list of reasons.” You could feel your heart racing a bit as that list started running through your brain.
“My guess is to experiment on you. You were in the right place at the wrong time.” Jackie looked beyond uncomfortable, and you tested a theory that popped into your mind.
“Did they do that to you? Is that what caused you to-”
“You like ice cream? We should get ice cream. There’s this cart on the other block that has really good ice cream. Their strawberry is amazing.” Jackie’s sharp change in subject caught you off guard this time.
Maybe asking that had crossed a line with how Jackie was back to looking around like he was being watched, tugging a bit at the collar of his hoodie like it was getting harder to breathe. You couldn’t help but feel bad for him. Your own head was aching from all the thinking, and a break didn't sound like the worst idea.
“Ice cream sounds nice.” You patted Jackie on the arm and started walking with him. “I’ll cover us, and you can do the next time.”
“Next time?”
“It’s cute you think you can get rid of me that easily, Mr. Boyman.”

Hahaha! Yeah. I did a bad drawn cringe. Because some people on a v specific discord channel I'm part of, encouraged me. (You know who you are.) I dunno what this is, but whatever. I worked on this bs for too many weeks and I've lost motivation SO MANY TIMES. So, enjoy it. lol (Also sorry for the proably many grammatical errors and such. I'm no english speaker, 'member? I TRIED.) ALSO! FUN FACT. I purposedly let both begin and ending open, so if you want (if you got more motivation than me), you can do your own thing with your own version of the egos. If multiple dimensions are canon, then even the Fishverse here is. Your own universe can be canon too. Have fun, if you wanna try!

Snores Pt 2
I got yelled at to write more and ta-da~! Part 1: Link
-----------------------
Chase woke the next morning feeling the most rested he had in a long time. Whatever it was that Marvin put on him must have really worked. He also remembered that the stuff was only going to work for a day, so if he wanted another night like that, he’d need to ask Marvin for more.
Thinking about that had Chase’s mind traveling back to the previous day, when he woke up from his nap to see Marvin’s hand under his shirt, touching his chest, and he swore he could still feel it. Marvin’s surprised face was still fresh in his thoughts as well, the way his eyes went wide, and he quickly tried to hide it with a smile. It was…cute. Marvin was cute.
Chase found himself leaning his hands against the counter and staring at the coffee pot that had finished brewing about ten minutes ago. He lost himself in his thoughts even as Henrik entered the kitchen, and it wasn’t until the other man took the pot that he somewhat came back to the present.
“Holy shit.” Chase suddenly blurted out.
“Good morning.” Henrik greeted as he filled his mug.
“Dude…I think I like Marvin.”
“Congratulations on being one of the last ones to realize this.”
“I’m what?”
“You wear your heart on your sleeve, but apparently don't know how to look at your own arm.” Henrik rolled his eyes as he took a sip of coffee. “It is painfully obvious.”
“So, what do I do with this? I don’t want to get all weird with Marvin. What if he's not comfortable or gets really freaked out or-ow!” Chase yelped when Henrik suddenly slapped the back of his head. “The hell, Hen!?”
“You are a smart man, use that brain of yours before I start hearing whistling from your ears."
“Whistles from my ears?”
“Empty head.” Henrik poked Chase’s forehead. “Just think about it.” He added with a sigh and pulled his phone out. “JJ needs me.” Those were his parting words before suddenly walking off.
“But…what am I supposed to be thinking about?” Chase asked out loud.
x~x~x
Eventually, after plenty of internal pep talks and feeling like he had to literally kick his own ass, Chase went to Marvin’s room and knocked on the door.
“Come in.” Marvin’s voice called out.
“Hey, Marv.” Chase felt so awkward as he opened the door and stepped in.
“Do you need something?” Marvin turned in his seat at his desk, tucking a strand of loose hair behind his ear.
“The-uh-stuff you put on me worked really good. Do you have any more of it?” Chase asked, scratching at the scruff on his cheek.
“I made another batch earlier.” Marvin turned back to his desk and reached across it, picking up a small container. “I was going to find you after I finished my book. I talked with Henrik, and he wants to run a sleeping test on you before I start working on something permanent to help you.” He held the container toward Chase.
“Do I just rub it on my chest?” Chase just looked at Marvin’s hand.
“With how I applied it, you'll want to centralize it more on your neck.”
“I…” Chase held out the word.
“Do I need to show you?” Marvin asked with a chuckle as he stood up. “Come over here to the mirror and I’ll point it out.”
“Okay.” Chase chewed the inside of his cheek and followed Marvin, standing in front of the full-length mirror hanging on the wall.
“The salve should have a temperature change when you put it on your hands, going from warmer to cooler, and so and so. That confirms the magic is working through a physical object.” Marvin explained, and Chase nodded along. “And you can use one or two hands to spread the salve, just make sure to cover your whole throat.” He placed a hand on Chase’s neck, showing where he would need to touch. “I also focused on the top of your chest, I tried to get this part of your sternum covered.” Marvin rubbed at Chase’s chest, but did it over his shirt this time. “Any questions?”
“No.” Chase cleared his throat when his response came out hoarse. Marvin chuckled at seeing the pink covering Chase’s cheeks.
“Looking the way you are might make someone think you like them.” Marvin joked and glanced away when Chase looked back at him.
Chase then felt like someone had kicked him right in the gut when he noticed that Marvin’s face was one he had seen yesterday. It was that face when he got caught. Chase had read it as embarrassed, but…had Marvin been blushing?
“Holy shit, I’m a dumbass,” Chase stated.
“Pardon? Why are you-” Marvin didn’t get to finish asking his question since Chase suddenly leaned in and kissed him. It was a very quick kiss, a simple peck, but a kiss nonetheless. There was a pause as the two just stood there, but Marvin finally broke it with a laugh. “You really are a dumbass.” He said in a teasing tone and pulled Chase into a much longer and deeper kiss.
“Hey, Marvin. Do you know-oh my, God, I am so sorry!” Jackie had stepped into the open doorway and yelped at what he saw, quickly taking off and leaving a laughing Anti behind.
“Don’t forget tongue, Brody,” Anti said, his laughs getting muffled as Marvin used some magic to slam the door on him.
“The one time you don’t close the door behind you.” Marvin sighed.
“Sorry,” Chase said.
“Anyway, where were we?” Marvin clicked his tongue before casually yanking Chase into another kiss.

Snores
No explantion, have some trickshot
Summary: Marvin finds Chase snoring and decides to give a helping hand
Snores
Marvin lifted his arms into a stretch as he walked into the kitchen. He wasn’t hungry; he just needed to walk around since he had been sitting for a while at his desk, and his legs were dying for some movement. He found himself curious about what the other Septiceyes were up to since he hadn’t heard from any of them so far that day. Maybe he’ll send out a text or-
Well, he found Chase.
Chase was on the couch, head tilted back and body relaxed as he slept upright. The remote and still-running television told Marvin that Chase likely dozed off while watching a show. Marvin picked up the remote, turned the TV off, and set it back down on the end table. He was going to walk away to let Chase finish his nap in peace, but Chase started snoring, and they were snores. It almost sounded painful. Did Chase always snore? He was sitting up, and they still sounded that bad? No wonder he was always so tired.
Marvin was going to fix that. He gave himself a mission and returned to his ‘office’, which was a spare room he told everyone else to leave alone, and kept his magic supplies in. The last thing he needed was Anti or Jackie putting something into their mouths that shouldn’t be there. Marvin was a bit more concerned about Jackie hurting himself, and Anti could implode for all he cared, but knowing that man, he’d find something to eat that was incredibly difficult to get. Anti always found a way to create the most inconvenience without even trying.
He settled on making a simple salve of sorts, one that would be a one-time use, just enough magic to let Chase get some proper rest that day. Marvin would likely talk to Henrik about the snoring and get some medical opinions on a more permanent solution. A magical salve only took a few minutes to make, which is why it lasted less than twenty-four hours, but it was a fairly decent on-the-spot treatment.
Marvin made his way back out to the living room, seeing that Chase was still asleep, and the next snore sounded more like a cough. He stood in front of Chase, snapped his fingers near his face to see how out of it he was, and when Chase didn’t react at all, Marvin decided to apply the salve himself.
The salve had a strange, warming, and cooling effect as Marvin spread it on his palms. A good sign since it meant the magic was coursing through it. Marvin checked one more time that Chase was asleep before taking his hands and rubbing the salve onto his neck. Instantly, the snores softened, and Marvin got hit with a big wave of pride that his creation worked. He hummed to himself in thought, wondering if getting some on Chase’s chest would get the snores to fully stop.
The only way to find out was to test it.
Marvin slipped one of his hands under the collar of Chase’s shirt, rubbing the last of the salve onto the top of his chest, and perked up as the snores did stop.
“I knew-” Marvin’s whisper of victory stopped when he looked up and discovered that the snores had stopped because Chase was now awake and looking at him.
“Hi, Marvin.” Chase greeted.
“Hi, Chase.” Marvin greeted back.
“Your hand is under my shirt.”
“Yeah.”
“Why?”
“You were snoring, and I made a salve to help with it.”
“Oh…thanks?”
“I plan on finding a more permanent solution; the salve will only work for today.”
“Okay.”
“Do you-” Marvin stopped his next question when there was a quick flash of light. Both of them turned their heads and saw Anti standing at the room’s entrance, phone in hand, and with the biggest grin.
“New wallpaper.” Anti chuckled and walked away.
“Anti!” Marvin pulled himself away and took off after Anti. “Antisepticeye, you delete that picture or I swear I am-” The rest of Marvin’s threat was too soft for Chase to hear.
It was hard to hear most things over his racing heart that pumped directly into his ears. He swore he had been in shock or something when he saw Marvin rubbing his chest, and now everything was crashing down on him, and it felt like someone was holding an open flame toward his face.
How was he supposed to go back to sleep after that?

A Quick Treat
I promised a bribe for @cakethefabulousart and here it is! Some Anti and Jackie getting a treat and, of course, Anti causes a little chaos
-------------------------------
A Quick Treat
Anti typed away at his phone, standing outside a colorful building and tapping his foot impatiently. Jackie was supposed to be here nearly ten minutes ago, and there was still no sight of the hero. Anti was five seconds away from changing clothes and causing some chaos to get him to show up. Maybe he'll have some traffic lights go haywire or something like that.
“Anti!” A loud, happy squeal of his name was his only warning before a heavy weight was on his back and arms around his neck. “Sorry, I'm late. There was this dog and some puppies, and I had to pet all of them so no one was left out and-”
“Alright, alright, I get it.” Anti reached over his shoulder to squish Jackie’s face with his hand, causing his lips to puff out like a fish. “Let’s just get this drink you’ve been bugging me about already.”
“You’re going to love it!” Jackie let Anti go, but within the next second, he grabbed his hand and pulled him into the building. Anti smiled and rolled his eyes as he walked, feeling himself relax as he saw Jackie’s excited grin and the sparkle in his eyes as he pointed to the menu above the heads of the baristas behind the just as colorful counter.
But then he heard chuckles. Mocking chuckles.
Anti could feel a growl rumbling in his throat as he looked over at the group of young adults, whispering to each other. It wasn’t until he noticed one of them trying to be subtle with a point that he could tell they were laughing at them.
They were laughing at Jackie.
His Jackie.
A new, stronger growl that could be heard came out of Anti, and he was more than ready to give that group something they would never forget.
“Anti.” Jackie tugged on Anti’s hand to get his attention back to him. “It’s our turn to order.” He could tell Anti was angry about something and hoped this would distract him from it. Jackie really liked this place and didn’t want to get banned.
“Hm.” Anti scrunched his nose at the group before looking at the young man standing behind the register, seeing the worry and a bit of fear in his eyes. After a quick breath to calm himself down, Anti slapped on his best ‘Jackie smile’ as he called it to make himself appear less terrifying. “Double strawberry for me.”
“Can I try the mango cream?” Jackie placed his order, clarifying sizes and paying while Anti glared daggers at the group. He’d get back at them. He always did.
Anti did manage to behave until they got their drinks and left the building, sitting on a bench together, and Jackie had him wait to try his bubble tea. Something about balls in his drink sounded weird, but Jackie said he liked it, so the least he could do was try it.
“Damn that’s sweet,” Anti commented after his first sip.
“Good sweet, or bad sweet?” Jackie asked.
“Good sweet,” Anti answered and took another sip, pausing the chew on the tapioca.
“Told you, you’d like it.” Jackie hummed happily and sipped from his own drink. Anti was back to beginning to relax as he and Jackie sat together and looked out into the street, watching birds landing to peck at the ground before taking off, and leaves blowing in the wind. It was calming, and calming wasn’t something Anti did that often.
And then he heard that damn laughing again.
Anti saw the group from earlier walking down the sidewalk across the street, the ice cream in their hands showing that they had gotten themselves another treat, and he caught on to who was the ‘leader’ of sorts. The one who laughed first. The one who created the level that the others tried to match. The one that Anti knew he had to embarrass to make his point.
Anti sipped his drink some more and had it set so that one tapioca pearl was left in the straw. Jackie hummed in confusion when he saw Anti pull the straw out of his drink, kept one end in his mouth, and aimed the other toward the group.
“Don’t-” Jackie tried to stop Anti when he saw and felt the static of Anti using his powers, but he was too late. Anti blew through the straw and sent the pearl, now larger and sparking, flying, and got it trapped under the foot of the man in the center of the group. The man slipped, fell, and landed face-first into his ice cream, getting Anti to break out into a loud laugh.
“Sucks to be you!” Anti called out.
“I should check on him.” Jackie started to stand but stopped when Anti placed a hand on his thigh.
“Nah, his friends got him.” Anti scoffed. “But, I wouldn’t mind heading home. You know how being a little shit gets me~” He added with a big, playful grin as his hand started creeping up.
“Okay!” Jackie said much faster than he meant, and it got Anti to laugh again.
