"We're always sending letters, aaand we get smilkshakes on the weekends. I miss her at work, but she seems sooo much happier now that sheesh's not in da coven anymore, sooo I'm happy for her! Shee's the coolest, isn't she?"

"It makes perfect sense," Her smile grows a little wider, especially when she sees Hunter hug the book tightly. "And that's the beauty of fiction sometimes. Seeing yourself reflected in your favorite characters or events--it can do a lot."

Her chest is tight, but warmth floods it all the same. "I like to think that he did. He always encouraged me to be creative, and I loved showing him all the things I'd find or make. I think he even convinced my mom into framing a snake skin I found in the dirt when I was five," She chuckles at the memory, but stops when she realizes that the tightness has spread to her throat, and her eyes are starting to water.

"Ah, sorry. Not trying to be a downer," Luz clears her throat and blinks back her tears. The smile returns to her face, and even though it's a little watery, her happiness is genuine. "I'm really happy that you've got something you can connect with, Hunter."

[ It's an awkward way to find out. When Hunter called Luz down the basement to show her what he and Gus found in the closet, he didn't know he rummaging through old gifts from her father to Mrs. Camila. He couldn't even tell her that he understood how she felt about her loss, being his own experience with death that a lot different. Quite disturbing, even.

And yet, she's been understanding as ever. ]

" That book and the others of the series have been helping me a lot, too, " [ he admits, feeling less silly in knowing that he isn't the only one finding comfort in a story made out of pure fantasy. ] " It... I don't know, it makes me feel less alone in my situation, I think? Does that make sense? "

[ When Luz hands the book back to him, Hunter takes it with both hands and hugs it close to his chest, feeling the corners of the hard cover with his fingertips. ]

" Thank you... " [ He smiles shily at her, trying to ignore the little bit of shame always tugging at his core whenever he receives a gift. ] " Sounds like your dad always helped people through stories, huh? That's nice. "

She wished there was more time to talk. She wanted to squeeze Amity, and Eda, and King all at once and never let go, but the time crunch they were on was far too serious.

Luz looks to Amity when she speaks up, and nothing could stop the goofy smile that spread across her face from her girlfriend's question. "Love might've had something to do with it..." She admits, her heart swelling with warmth and determination to save her loved ones.

Also titan magic. That too.

Before Luz can land them again, she hears a giant crack near the Skull, seeing the archive starting to fall. "Uh, is everyone else still in there?!" She realizes with wide eyes, looking to Amity and the Collector.

Laughter only continued to pour out of her, relieved that she was here---& that she was safe. One final kiss given to her, she finally let her go.

" I came down as soon as I saw those light orbs...were they from you? " Did it even matter where it came from? As long as they were all here together now, nothing could stop them.

The roar interrupting their conversation, her stare immediately focused on the monster before them, horrified but mostly annoyed at this point. Why couldn't Belos just die already? Hadn't they gone through enough?

Feeling an arm wrap around her waist, she glanced at her girlfriend before a loud yelp escaped her as they soared through the sky. The abrupt stop caused her to groan a little, but she didn't blame her for her newly discovered powers.

" How is this even possible? Wait, is this the power of love? Like that one chapter in Azura? "
