Calcifer sneered and clicked his tongue in annoyance. "I am plenty grateful. But what do you expect when you push my buttons? A thank you?"

Renji coughed, waving away the thick black smoke. "HEY. What's wrong with ya??" he glared, one the smoke cleared and he was able to see once again.

"I offer to feed ya, and this is what I get in return? I see there's no gratefulness in those bones of yers." His lips turned up in disdain.

"This jerk might do as ya ask, if yer nice with it."

"Well you don't have to shove it into my mouth so carelessly!" He huffed. But stuffed the piece back into his mouth.

"Jerk."

"Oh my bad," Renji snickered, eating the other half of the taiyaki. "Yum."

He shrugged his shoulders once more. Making fun of Calcifer sure was entertaining. Just had to be careful not to push the other too far, otherwise he would go and sulk by himself.

"Thought ya looked kinda hungry so I shared my snack with ya."

"Here. Have this." He shoves a piece of taiyaki into Calcifer's mouth, as he was ranting.
