Caleb Fluffy Pregnancy Headcanons

This is just some random thoughts I had around cute domestic CalebMC, specifically in a time where MC is pregnant. I just think it's rlly cute to imagine and he is so service top big puppy it hurts. TBH I'm tempted to write a CalebMC fic surrounding pregnant MC.

This one goes out to all my fellow delusional Caleb girlies who are also obsessed w domestic fluff.

Learning MC is pregnant...

I honestly think it wouldn't be quite so planned, but Caleb would be excited and ready to face the responsibility with MC. Like I think the scenario would be that she starts complaining about feeling any sort of early pregnancy symptom, and he'd immediately be alerted and take her to an urgent care, partially knowing it might be a pregnancy symptom but also worried that she might just be dying (he's a bit overdramatic about her safety lol).

Then the doctor would probably ask when her last period and intercourse was, and Caleb and MC would just look at each other like: oh. After the tests are run and the doctor formally announces MC as pregnant, I genuinely think Caleb would shed some tears of joy. He might have some doubts about his capacity of being a father, due to him still healing from trauma but I think that he'd also commit to doing his best for MC. He'd also just have the biggest, goofiest grin on his face and probably pull MC into a hug.

Also during the first ultrasound he definitely cries upon seeing the fetus lol.

During MC's pregnancy...

He definitely amps the princess treatment up, ten-fold. I think he would insist on doing almost everything for MC. He'd manage to be MORE clingy and less willing to leave her side at all. More protective, since now he has both MC and there future child to worry about.

However, I think it would unfortunately make him put on more of his tough guy act, not wanting to seem weak to her, especially when she needs him most (in his mind). But I think he would actually experience couvade syndrome, where he also feels her pregnancy symptoms, especially morning sickness (sometimes more than her lol).

Going back to princess-treatment though, he definitely buys her anything she's craving. It could be like midnight, and MC could say she wants some of his braised chicken wings she loves so much, and he'd find a way to ensure she can eat that. Even if he has to find an open store, he will. And if he can't, he'll find a way to make it up for her.

Also he definitely gives her massages wherever she's sore.

ALSO he definitely gets super excited and buys baby stuff earlier than he probably should. MC definitely put together the nursery, but I think he also had a lot of say in what furniture and such to buy. He definitely assembles it all himself, MC would try to offer to help him put together the crib or whatever and while he may give her a light task after she's stubborn with him, he definitely insists on doing a lot of the more taxing stuff.

Pregnancy and affection towards MC...

He cannot take his hands off her, not in a sexual way but in a way where he constantly wants to cuddle. He is definitely a cuddly type. I think he'd love holding her in his arms while they sit. Like they could be watching a movie, and he'd still have MC on his lap (or well like between his legs) with her back against his chest, and his arms wrapped around her waist, holding her. He'd always be placing small kisses on her head and whispering about how pretty she looks. He'd caress her stomach a bit as well while he does this.

Speaking of stomachs, while pregnant, he definitely can't stop feeling hers (with her consent of course). I think there would be moments where they're lying down, and Caleb would deliberately caress her stomach and talk to the baby, even going down and showering the bump with small pecks of kisses.

He definitely touches MC very gently all the time. Almost like she's glass.

Miscellaneous Thoughts

Caleb and MC definitely argue over who they hope the kid looks more like. Caleb wants a mini MC, while MC wants a mini Caleb. But I think Caleb would eventually concede and say that a mix of them both would be best.

I want to imagine a funny scenario where they have to figure out what to do about the fact Caleb is legally deceased before MC gives birth because like they kind of gotta be ready to fill out that father section of the birth certificate and he's technically a dead man lol. (im not sure what the solution to this would even be tbh)

Caleb definitely has a near panic attack anytime MC feels any kind of pain, especially once she's like 8 months because he's afraid she's going into labor.

They definitely find a way to compete over baby names lol.

I don't think either of them would care about the sex of the baby, as long as it's healthy in their eyes.

The two definitely get a few airplane/flight themed toys/items for the nursery.

Caleb, while very cold and numb at work still, would have a slightly more happy aura to him but I think only people who are around him a lot would notice his small smiles while he looks at his communication device to message MC (or look at baby-related stuff).

Caleb posts cryptic messages on social media about the baby/pregnancy and it's happenings, only MC really gets it but I think Gideon would leave some funny comments about it, but he's happy for him.

Okay that's all I have in me right now. What a hell of a first post on this site. Anyways I might make this into a full fic idk. I might also make a follow up post with more hcs (including the two nsfw ones i thought) if i think of more + ppl want it. Also since this is a first post pls be mutuals w me i love caleb a normal and sane amount i prommy. but regardless who your fav is, im trying to meet more ppl in the community, hence why i started a lads blog <33
