—Overshadowed —

I've always said I don't feel insecure with someone else— regardless if they're prettier, smarter, or more valued and socially accepted.

And it's true. I established my own routine and continuously building my own spotlight, bit by bit.

I feel secure and confident enough with my self until life decided to remind me the fear of being overshadowed, in a form of a friend. And oh, I don't feel secure anymore. "In-secure."

I can see her potential of doing so much better than me. She has so much more potential. And I feel pain. I feel small. I feel betrayed. Why, you ask?

Because she does the routine I tried so hard to question and try and learn and fix. I don't care if she excel in dancing or singing or modeling or any other things that she can do. That's her thing. I applause her for that.

But seeing her potential to do better than me from learning and doing my routine is a different thing.

It feels like walking her into my shadow and witnessing her overshadowing me— sharing and eventually taking my spotlight.

It feels like building something so valuable for someone else to enjoy. I'm scared.
