Hello everyone!

I just wanted to reach out and let everyone know that we’re going to be postponing the opening of Call of the Cascades.

I’ve gotten sick and while I hoped I would feel better by today, that sadly isn’t the case.

Though I am here to say that our new opening date is panned to be within the next couple weeks- leaving everyone time to enjoy the holidays with their friends & families!

I hope everyone enjoys themselves over the holidays, and I promise to update soon with our new planned opening date!

Hi there! We took the week off for Thanksgiving but we’re back now, very sorry for the wait!

We are planning to open the server sometime in December!

As of now, the decided date is December 16th, though that may be subject to change.

Hey everyone.

Today, many of you are celebrating American Thanksgiving, but I wanted to take a moment to use this platform I've somehow stumbled into to do something different. Today is the National Day of Mourning, a day where we take time to remember and mourn the suffering and deaths of the indigenous American people who were brutally colonized by the founders of the country. It is also a day to remember that their descendants are still suffering, that their struggles are not over.

Now, I am very white and living on stolen land. I am not the expert here and I don't think it would be my place to explain the struggles the indigenous Americans are facing.

But I do run a fairly popular Warrior Cats blog and I do think it would be worthwhile to highlight the fact that Warrior Cats and its fandom are full of Anti-Indigenous bigotry. You may notice that I use the term "Healer" instead of "Medicine Cats" and that's because the original term is blatant and disrespectful cultural appropriation that I don't want to take part in. And that's just one example.

HERE is a link to a comprehensive article researched and written by an All-Native/Indigenous team of Warrior Cats fans that details the harmful stereotypes the Erins use and suggestions on what you can do to avoid contributing to them. Please, read this document and take some time to think about what it says.

Hi! Your rp looks very interesting and I just have a couple questions!

1. For the high rank roles will you be able to apply once your in or is it external and will there be any story stipulations behind them, such as for example: Stormclans deputy was recently chosen, Mossclans leader has been in charge as long as cats can remember, etc.

2. Will there be any adopts available from the get go! I'm a sucker for adopts and find them a great way to make connections with other players.

Hi, thank you for your interest in the roleplay! To answer your questions... 1. The high rank applications will be internal, and we plan to open them a week or two before the roleplay starts. There won't really be many story stipulations story wise beside the fact that we have created backstories for the most recent deceased high ranks (Aka, the cats who had the high rank roles before our members. These cats were created just to allow members who are creating high rank characters to know a little bit about those who held their roles right before them, and to be able to incorporate them into their backstories however they wish.)

2. We don't plan to have adopts available from the start, though we will have a channel where members can choose to put up adopts of their own (Such as parents / siblings / children of their character, etc.)

Of course!

The listed physical characteristics and personality traits are not required by any means- only suggestions for people who like to get ideas for their characters!

Each clan can have any sized cat, with any pelt/eye color, any-fur length, with whatever personality traits you desire! (as long as the colors are not unnatural! ex. cats with purple eyes and green fur wouldn’t be allowed!).

Welcome to Tideclan! 🌊

Tideclan, one of the three clans in Call of the Cascades, was established by Tidestar, formerly known as Tide, a fiery tempered blue-gray she-cat. Inspired by the tales of far-off clans and an adventurous life, Tide and her fellow kittypets, Storm and Moss, decided to leave their uneventful twoleg existence behind and embark on a daring journey into the wilderness.

It was a tragic confrontation that finally led to their decision to leave the forest and head in different directions. After Moss's death, Tideclan and Stormclan, two of the resulting clans, each pursued their own destinies in different landscapes.

Tideclan, led by Tidestar, settled along the coastal region, adapting to the challenges of their new territory, which included coastal scrublands, beaches, tidepools, coastal cliffs, and caves accessible only during low tide. The memory of Moss and the dream they once shared continued to shape Tideclan's history as they transitioned from the forest to their coastal home.

Common Physical Characteristics

Tideclan cats tend to be average-sized. 

Fur length tends to be short and sleek, texture helps to repel dirt and water.

Coat colors tend to be solid with mottled patterns. Various shades of grays, tans, and gingers are common.

Strong shoulders and webbed toes help Tideclan cats when it comes to both swimming and digging.

They navigate the rolling hills with stealth and precision, ensuring the safety of Tideclan by identifying potential threats and marking the boundaries that define their territory. Shore Runners also excel at hunting prey among the diverse land terrains within Tideclan's territory. Divers, with their mastery of the ocean, patrol the shores, protecting the clan from potential threats beneath the waves. Over the course of their apprenticeship, divers develop a remarkable tolerance to the sting of saltwater.

Stormclan was founded by Stormstar, formerly known as Storm, a proud and meticulous silver tom. The clan's journey began in a quiet twoleg village where Storm, along with his friends Tide and Moss, led peaceful lives as kittypets. It was Moss's curiosity that initially led them to venture into the nearby forest, where they met Gale, a mysterious cat who shared stories of clans and life in the wilderness.

However, as the seasons changed, tensions grew within the group. These tensions culminated in a tragic confrontation involving Moss, during which she was fatally wounded while trying to intervene, ultimately leading to her death.

Haunted by visions of Moss and consumed by guilt, Storm, Tide, and Gale decided to part ways, with each of them leading their followers in different directions. Storm and his group journeyed north, into the rugged mountains, where they established their territory with large lakes, mountain peaks, meadows, and ice-melt streams. The memory of Moss and the fateful confrontation continued to weigh heavily on Stormclan, shaping its history and the direction they took after parting ways with their friends.

Fur length tends to be medium / long to help keep them warm in their mountainous territory.

Coat colors tend to be light. Various shades of whites, silvers, gingers and tans are common.

Large paws and long tails help Stormclan cats when it comes to traversing their territory.

Mossclan, one of the three clans in Call of the Cascades, was founded in a lush temperate rainforest, and guided by a mysterious tom called Galestar, formerly known as Gale.

Moss, the gentle and nurturing tortoiseshell, played a pivotal role in inspiring her friends to embark on this adventurous journey and create their own clan. Mossclan, named in the she-cat’s honor, held a special place in her heart as she developed a deep connection to the forest and refused to leave their newfound paradise.

Unfortunately, Moss met a tragic end during a violent confrontation between Tide, Storm, and Gale. Her death left her friends wracked with guilt and grief, and in response, Moss granted them the gift of nine lives each, charging them with the responsibility of fulfilling the dream they had once shared.

Galestar, who was instrumental in shaping their destiny, became the leader of Mossclan. The enduring memory of Moss, her dream, and her sacrifice marked the history of Mossclan and the two other clans, Tideclan and Stormclan, as a testament to their enduring friendship and the extraordinary journey that brought these clans into existence.

Mossclan cats tend to be some of the smallest of the three clans.

Fur length tends to be short to medium in length and dense, coats help to prevent cuts from the growth of their territory.

Coat colors tend to be rich with dappled patterns. Various shades of browns, gingers, and black are common.

Sensitive eyes and tufted ears help Mossclan cats to quickly detect threats in their dark forests.

Within Mossclan, menders hold an esteemed position, with a profound understanding of herbs and remedies that they use to maintain the clan's health. In addition, apprentices have the option to specialize in two unique warrior roles: "providers" and "protectors."

Providers are typically smaller, agile cats, responsible for scouting, hunting, and gathering herbs to assist menders. They play a vital role in ensuring the clan's well-being. In contrast, Mossclan's protectors are typically larger and stronger, safeguarding their fellow clanmates and territory. They occasionally accompany providers on their journeys and are tasked with border patrols and scouting for potential threats.

However, like the shadows cast by a setting sun, conflicts were inevitable. In the throes of a bitter battle, tragedy struck, and one of the original four paid the ultimate price. It was her untimely loss that served as a turning point for the remaining three cats, pushing them to reassess their paths. In the crucible of that life-altering confrontation, the seeds of destiny were sown, and three distinct clans sprang forth.
