I don't know how the flying fuck this happened to me but I guess I'll roll with it. My entire life I have been fighting for what I believe is right, what I believe I deserve. Everything I've done thus far has led me here. It's the last place I ever thought I'd end up, but that's sort of the ironic part isn't it. I see people crying, sitting on the ground as if they're defeated. They haven't realized it yet, but they're not. They're free; I am free. I don't have to go to that bloody bar anymore, I don't have to avoid my family. I have the opportunity to build a new person, not half Thea, half Anneliese, but a complete Anneliese. I have powers I could of never dreamed of having in the real world. I mean, I'm a witch. How cool is that? I could have everything, why would I leave?
Don't wanna be here? Send us removal request.

Major Quest 003
Involves: Tara, Aidan, and Anneliese.
Morning came to came to Tengra Heath. Tara scrolled through the message boards curiously, and happened upon something funny related to that odd clue that she and Cisco had found on their last big quest through The Sea of Tears. There was something about there being more to the clue if one asked around at shops. Frowning, Tara poked her head into a couple of shops places before finding the right one. "Hatun Stronghold?" she said to herself, calling up her map to see if she had ever been anywhere close to the South East.
-
Anneliese was excited for this quest, it sounded so complex. However, that also meant more difficult. Given the stressful times ahead, she was glad she was with at least one person she was familiar with. Anneliese had done her fair share of exploring the map, and she'd been around that part before, but she never noticed anything that even resembled a strong hold.
She looked off in the distance at some of the NPCs surrounding the area. They all seemed so uninterested in them; kind of like real people. There was an old woman outside of a shop, sweeping. "Excuse me? Do you know of a place called Hatun Stronghold?
-
This task seemed interesting, and he wondered, where the clue would take them and what they would get once they found the place. He was already able to level up because of the last quest, and got a good amount of gold, he hoped he would be able to level up more. He was around in the shops asking people about a place called Hatum Stronghold, he waa almost losing hope, when he found someone that knew about it. Then he ran to the two girls he had on his team for this quest. "I found someone that knows 'bout the place" he said excitedly, glad he found someone that would help them.
-
Tara waved her current questmates over, wondering if information was just a little too easy to come by for this little mission. "Really? That's great. All I got so far was that it isn't that close." Quirking her lips to one side, she followed up with, so are we walking all the way? Because if so, we should probably start up soon before it gets dark. Anneliese, have you heard anything else?"
-
Anneliese saw her teammates talking and then heard her name. "What?" She shouted, just out of reflex given she understood perfectly what Tara had said. "Oh no, this lady is kind of useless." She made her way back over to the two. "If you have anything I am all ears."
-
"The guy told me that it's on South East" he said, glad that they finally found someone that could tell them. They took some time, he was worried they wouldn't find anyone. "We should get goin', I also don't want ta have ta go when it's dark" he thought it could be more dangerous, it was better to go when it was not dark yet.
-
Tara tapped her ears. Indeed, she was also all ears, but she did not want to make that joke and mess with the mood. Her team seemed super on point, which was good if they were going to finish the quest. Starting toward that direction, she said," Well I guess let's just shoot for south east and try not to get lost, okay? If we do, I mean, maybe we can buy a map somewhere...
-
Anneliese shrugged. "I'm down for whatever, but I think we can manage. I mean-" she looked around and realized she had no idea which way was which and that she had no way of finding out. "Okay maybe we do need that compass..."
They got a compass and headed off, on foot, to Hatum Stronghold. Anneliese wondered if maybe going by sea would have been better.
-
He walked along the girls, hoping they would get there soon. Whoever thinks this game is still fun, didn't see it like the Welshman did, he didn't think was fun, he hated it, every time there was a quest, he wanted to finish it as soon as possible. "Man, I hope we get there fast, I want this quest to be over as soon as possible"
-
Tara made a groaning noise. "I was going to ask if we were there yet, but that isn't going to be a good question to ask, is it..." Tara said glumly. At least the terrain was beautiful. And they had direction help. Small mercies. "We could play a game along the way. Like 20 questions or Word Association... or we could just walk agree to walk in awkward silence."
-
Anneliese was actually having a good time. She was too busy taking in the surroundings and the people to be bothered by the silence. It was as if she'd been transported to another world. She knew the other two didn't see it like that as they wanted to get back to their life as soon as possible but, Anneliese was in no rush.
"Let's see. I spy with my little eye..." she looked around, and her eyes found themselves on a light post. "Something big and made of metal."
-
"I think we may take some time to get there..." he thought at least, maybe they could get there faster than he thinks, would be nice if he could use his super speed, but how would he take both of them with him? If there was one, would be easier, but two was a little harder. "Is it big?" he asked, he was terrible, at games like that, but he would at least give it a try, wouldn't harm.
-
"Uh..." Tara looked around, wondering what she was supposed to say without sounding awkward. "She did say it was big, I guess, but how big... Wait, shoot, you can't answer that question. Uhhhhh... Is it that fence?" She pointed at a fence in the distance. It looked big and shiny.
-
Yeah." She said in response to Aiden's question. It was still coming up so the others had time to see it. "It's metal, big, and big as in tall." She said, looking between the two of them. She used to play this game with her parents on the long rides home. She smiled at Tara. "No, not the fence. Think bigger."
-
Aidan made a face, trying to figure out what exactly she waa talking about, he looked around and couldn't see anything that was metal and tall, that is until he saw the light post, it was the only thing that seemed to fit on ber description. "Is it the light post?"
-
Tara nudged Anneliese's shoulder. "The fence is big! Just wide. And piecemeal." She crossed her arms stubbornly, and looked in the distance. Well, it seemed like they were at least moving, albeit slowly. Man, did transit need to improve. "Can I piggyback on lightpost?"
-
"I won? Wow, this is the first time ever that I win on this game" he let out a laugh, he was always the one that never guessed right. But that was okay, because he played to pass time when he was on a roadtrip. "Almost there, you guys are seein' that?" he pointed ahead. "It's right there, a fee more minutes and we're there, so don't worry"
-
"There has literally only been one point up for grabs, and one of the players didn't even get a chance to score," Tara argued, waving her hands around as if that would make her point stronger. "I'm seeing something, and that something is in the southeast. Does that look like a Stronghold or just a weird wall?"
-
Anneliese laughed at the two. mainly Tara. "I sure do hope that's the damn stronghold wall. C'mon, let's go!" And she took off running after it. When she approached she saw two guards manning the front of the gate, and then several walking with bows on top of the wall. She grinned up at them.
-
Aidan followed Anne, making sure that he wouldn't trigger his super speed, something that could happen sometimes when he ran. Once they got there he stopped, and saw the guards. "There were somethin' 'bout the guards, right? We have ta talk ta them, I remember somethin' like that"
-
The guards did not look extremely friendly to Tara. Good bonds did not just feed on intrigue. Chasing after her running partners and hoping the guards wouldn't shoot, she put in, "I took decent Charisma for some reason. Let me try." They reached a couple of guards and she showed them what the writing like. The two mumbled back and forth for a minute, not telling the group anything. "Nazanchu, the City of Palaces? That's where we should go?" Tara found the use that they had to go all the way somewhere else without even seeing the stronghold annoying.
-
Anneliese shrugged, looking at Tara. "So.... that's it? We don't even need to go inside and talk to anyone?" If that was it then she was more than happy to turn around and head out. The strong hod was cool, yes, but this quest was going to be long. Anneliese could always come back anyways.
-
"No, we don't need ta go inside, we just had ta talk ta the guards, and ask them 'bout it" he was glad it was that easy, at least for now, but he feels like it may get harder. "That's what he said" he wasn't entirely sure where that was though "It's probably where we have ta go next, you guys know how ta get there?" he doesn't think the guards would lie about it
-
Tara shrugged at the guards and nodded at Aidan. "Think you can help?" The guards mumbled back and forth again before presenting a short set of directions to the group. "Thanks!" Waving the sheet at Anneliese, Tara asked, "Want to continue as navigator?"
-
Anneliese nodded at Aiden to show she heard what he said, then took the directions from Tara. "My pleasure." She smiled. "As long as you guys look out for me and make sure I don't walk off a cliff while viewing the directions."
She looked over the sheet. "Well, it actually doesn't look too far. So that's good news! We need to head..." she look around for the small house that was close to them and in the same direction as their next check point. She found it to the right and pointed. "That way."
-
"Don't worry, we have your back" he assured her with a small smile, he definitely would not be able to do a good job as navigator, would be terrible at it. So he was glad that she offered herself to be the navigator. "Oh, good, I'm glad that it's not far away, means we will be there soon" he smiled, it seemed to be a long quest, but at least they were doing it fast. "Alright" he said, before following the ladies, walking by their side.
-
"I literally have your back now," Tara said jokingly, palming Anneliese's back as they walked forward. "So you can look down instead of walking into a tree. Trees are ride enough when you don't crash into them. We've got you."
-
"Thanks babes." Anneliese smiled warmly at the both of them before looking back at the directions. "So after we pass this house, there's going to be some sort of a rock face and then we need to make a slight left and walk along the rock face or the wall or whatever you want to call it."
-
"No problem" he smiled at her as he kept walking, his eyes looking around, just in case a monster end up showing up and they need to fight against it. "So it really isn't that far away, we will be there in a few minutes, that's good" he smiled, he wasn't showing, but he was actually really nervous.
-
"I'm pleasantly surprised that we haven't been ambushed by anything yet. Maybe we're just really intimidating," Tara said after a moment, looking around for said rock face. "It is good that we'll be here soon. Oh hey, is that what we're looking for? It looks sort of... unaccomodating."
-
"I mean, a vampire with super strength, elf with supreme accuracy, and a witch that can control fire? Sounds like I crew I wouldn't want to mess with." She said. Looking up, she stopped. Anneliese's shoulders slumped. The split against the rock face looked very unfriendly. She sighed. Well, the place we have to go to is about a mile down that way. It should be fine? Right? We have a lot of talents among us."
-
"Oh, yeah, we're very scary, look at us, no one would try anythin' against us" he let out a laugh, he was as scary as a puppy, and he also has to admit that the girls weren't scary either. Maybe they could be when people found out how powerful they were, but just by looks they aren't. "I wish I could use my super speed ta make us get there faster"
-
"...Close enough," Tara mumbled, not sure how accurate she was supposed to be since she could not wield a bow and arrow. But it was fine. She tried to smile so as not to bring down the mood any. "Okay, well we can just inch across it. I know it's narrow. But I believe in us! And also this rocky face to not collapse and have us plummet to decidedly unglorious deaths. Ugh."
-
Anneliese looked down at what they were supposed to cross. She made a face. "Of you guys want to go first I think that might be best. I mean, no need for me to be in front with the map since where we need to go is supposedly right at the other end. I'll cover the back, in case any monsters pop up."
-
"Alright, I can go first" he said before he started to walk, he was a little nervous, like anyone would be when they had to cross something like that. But he didn't mind going first. "Warn us if you see anythin' " he told Anne, so they knew there were mosnters trying to attack.
-
Tara looked down just for a moment to see how far they were going to avoid falling. That was a mistake, and she had to keep herself from grabbing Aidan's shoulder from nerves. "This sucks," she mumbled, hugging the wall as she started to inch along. "When we're at our destination, please humor me and pat my head or something reassuring."

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT TASK 003
→ Family [690 words]
Anneliese Thea used to have a very loving family, she still might, but she doesn’t see it that way.
When she was younger, up to her early twenties, her favorite person in the world was her grandmother. The two could talk for hour about nothing, and as her grandmother was always a feisty woman, the two were two peas in a pod. Anneliese Thea would argue that she spend more time at her grandmother’s than at her actual home, The only reason she’d ever stay at her house was for school the next morning.
Grandma Nida was Anneliese’s Thea’s role model. She never took shit from anyone. She’d gone through four husbands, kicking them all to the curb when they began to treat her wrong, because she’d rather hold onto her self respect than stay in a marriage for the sake of being married. Before retirement, she helped run and organize a very well put together company and was extremely successful. She hoarded her money, even though she was close to being a millionaire, she’d shop at the thrift store for most things. This left her in a very good position for retirement, but even after, she took up a small job at a department store simply because she loved working hard.
When Anneliese Thea turned 19, she noticed that her parents weren’t allowing her to visit their grandmother much, if at all, despite the fact that it appeared they were with her all the time. When Anneliese Thea snuck out one night to see what was happening over the past months, she knocked on the door and found that her grandmother appeared confused, and would occasionally call her Anneliese, which was her mom’s sister’s name.
She confronted her parents about it which resulted in a large fight because while her parents didn’t want to burden her with the information of her grandmother’s decaying mind, Anneliese Thea felt as if it were her right to know. Within a year, Grandma Nida had no memory of her and kept calling her Anneliese. She accepted the new name, because if that was who her grandmother wanted her to be then that was who she would be. It was much easier than correcting her.
When Anneliese Thea was 20, she finally came out to her parents. It didn’t go well. She assumed that her parents would be accepting and loving despite it because that was how they always were, but instead they tried to talk her out of it, and tell her she was brainwashed. They said they’d work on ‘fixing her’ and that they’d get through it together. Less than a week later, she had her bag packed and on her way to Perth without a word.
Thea was her mother’s middle name, and with the actions her mom had taken, it made her sick to her stomach to say it. She saw a new opportunity in Perth, a place no one knew her. That was when she began calling herself Anneliese, in honor of her grandmother.
Anneliese would still make her way to Adelaide to see her grandmother in her declining state, but would always sign in as Anneliese. Her parents assumed it was her mother’s sister, but since the sisters weren’t on speaking terms, they never found out the truth.
She was veiled in black three years later when her grandmother passed. She sat at the far back, hoping no one from her family would recognize her. Anneliese went as far as to dye her hair brown so no one would do a double take. She spent a good three hours at the grave after that, but after that she never returned to Adelaide. For her, there was no reason to.
Anneliese has received word from a former friend that her parents want nothing more than for her to come home; that they love her and would do anything to have her in their lives again. She doesn’t believe this; she doesn’t think they really love her, just the image they’d created in their minds. If they truly loved her, then they would have accepted her all those years ago.

MINOR QUEST 004
→ Grinding [645 words]
Anneliese has always loved fighting shit, especially when she knew she'd win. Whether that was physical fights, verbal fights, or a combination of both, she'd never turn one down. She knew it probably wasn't the best thing for her, but now she couldn't say that it actually was. After all, she needed to fight in set to gain levels.
Unlike many others, her primary goal in getting to a higher level was purely to make sure she kept up with everyone everyone else. She didn't want to fall behind; people who fell behind got left behind, or killed. Her plan was to make it to a high level, but remain on floor one or floor two. That's way, she would have an advantage over the monsters and not in much danger aside from the other players who were wise enough.
So, she was in the forest, metal stave in hand. She was running out of mana, so she had to resort to using her stave to take out some of the snails she was confronted with. Snails were probably her favorite monster to fight. They were slow, easy to dodge, and most importantly, kind of funny looking. Anneliese laughed as she swung her stave at them and their low groans. The only time she feared the snails were when they were in a line of ten or so, because their spit attacks did some damage and she couldn't take them all out at once.
There were only three around her right now, and they tended to pop up in families of three. She jabbed her stave right into the side of the snail's shell. It squeaked (could it be called a squeak?) as a cracking noise sounded and it fell into a pile of yellow pixels. She then ducked to avoid the venomous spitting of the other snail and swung the rod into her attackers head. It took her a couple swings, but she took him down eventually. Unfortunately, the remaining snail got some blows in on her, as he back was turned to it. It even bit her ankle and knocked her to the ground.
She cried out as she hit the forest floor, the damn thing was trying to eat her foot! It slowly but surely was creeping up her leg, and she knew she'd suffocate under it if it got high enough. Now she was just pissed off, how could she let a snail get the best of her. Anneliese looked around for her weapon in a panic, but it had fallen too far away. She knew if she turned over and tried to crawl after it, there was a good chance she wouldn't be able to get back up since the snail was now just below her knee. She tried kicking at the thing, but it only dealt minimal damage. Maybe a rock would help?
Anneliese reached for a sharp rock and began beating the snail in the head with it. It made small noises, indicating to her that it was doing more damage than simply kicking it, but it still wasn't doing enough in her opinion. So, thinking of the last resort she attempted the controls for one of her most recently earned skills. She aimed right for the 'heart' of the snail, and a jagged ice missile sunk deep into it. It slowed the snail significantly, and Anneliese was able to yank her leg free and grab a hold of her stave. With the butt end of it, she sunk it into the soft shell and the thing fell into a yellow heap.
She was out of breath, out of mana and overall just irritated and defeated that she almost got killed by a snail. Maybe she wasn't invincible after all? However, Anneliese never quit. She'd stay in these woods all night if it meant gaining that other level.

“Ok, first off, ew, children are gross,” Lillian scoffed with a roll of her eyes. “Second off, I’m gay. Not exactly a lot of opportunity for pregnancy there. I won’t be dealing with the tiny brats anytime soon.” She didn’t really take offence to the mothering comment, she had no interest in anybody but herself. Children sounded awful.
“Darling, if you’re going to call me a bitch just do it. No need to play coy,” Lillian hissed. The audacity of the girl. She wanted absolutely nothing to do w- Oh. Lillian blinked as the quest invite popped up. Oh. Slowly a smirk started to form on her face. This would be the perfect revenge. She locked eyes with a sheepish Anna, eyes glinting.
Without breaking eye contact, Lillian slowly raised her hand.
[ Queenofhearts has accepted a quest invite from waywardaussie ]
Children are not gross, children are adorable. They- she’s gay. Anneliese’s eyes widened slightly at the confession. Fuck, she’s gay. I’m gay. She blinked. Wait, I hate her. No way. She kept her composure through her thoughts and smiled.
“I wasn’t being coy. I just called you a bitch. Did you not hear me? I called you a hound too.” She reiterated. Probably a blood hound if anything. The damn girl seemed thirsty for blood.
She saw the smirk on the girl’s face, and Anneliese’s went into pure shock. The girl was going to do it; she was going to accept the request, even after she just told Anneliese to leave her alone. Petty bitch. Anneliese thought as a notification popped up on her screen. Well, at least now she’d stuck with me too. Ha, played herself.
She looked down at the girl with a look pf bewilderment. “Well, howdy partner.”

As a child, what did they want to be when they grew up? Did they realize their dream?
As a child, I always wanted to be prime minister. I know that sounds really corny, but basically I wanted to lead a lot of people and help them live happy and free lives. I love it when people love me so I wanted all that positive energy. Then I realized that wasn’t realistic, so I knocked it down a bit to revolutionary hero. There are definitely some things that can be changed around here, and I can still lead people and go down in history books.”

“If I had allowed them to teach me anything I wouldn’t be here, I would be back home married with little Feye’s running around already,” Lillian snorted. Archaic maybe, but her parents were traditional people. They just wanted an heir. Luckily for Lillian, she was smart enough that that wasn’t in the cards for her.
“And it’s much more than that. For example, you my dear would be pretty, until you opened your mouth that is. See? It is learned.” Lillian smiled sweetly. “Now, I know I’m quite fetching, but if you could leave me alone, that’d be appreciated.”
“Yeah, you really don’t seem like the mothering type to be honest... no offense though. I highly doubt you would want any munchkins anyways.” She shrugged. They didn’t need any more little thieves running around. Could they even procreate in this game? Not that it mattered to Anneliese anyways, it wasn’t like she was going to get pregnant from any fun she had.
“Umm, excuse me? My teeth are straight. I had braces, bitch.” Anneliese knew what she meant, but she just wanted to screw with her. “Fetching? Yes you are, just like a dog, hound most like.” She said smartly, pulling out her menu. “I want you to leave me alone, which is why I’m bl-” She reached for the block option, but a drunk guy ran into her from behind and she accidentally hit ‘invite to quest’.
Anna stood there wide eyed, looking a bit awkward. Fuck.

“Tried being the key word,” Lillian grumbled. That may sound like her being regretful but she was angrier that she hadn’t actually done it. She didn’t like being shown up. Mirroring her pose, Lillian crossed her arms. “Mummy and Daddy didn’t teach me anything other than how to sit there and look pretty, please don’t credit them for any of my accomplishments. I wish they could have pulled something like this off.” Her parents were hopeless simpletons, honestly.
Anneliese rose an eyebrow at her grumbles. It was actually sort of funny, she was enjoying this. Probably much more than she should have. It was mainly because Lillian struck her as a proud person, so if Anneliese could knock her down a few pegs...
“Yeah, by the likes of your actions they didn’t seem to teach you much. That’s the only way they could have pulled all this off.” She motioned to the smaller girl’s frame. “Sitting still and looking pretty is all genes my darling, not decisions.”

Releasing her tunic, Lillian smoothed it down delicately with one perfectly manicured hand. “I didn’t even take anything. I don’t know why you’re so worked up. You still have all your possessions, don’t you?” She cocked her head, blinking innocently up at Anna. There was no way she was apologizing. Her pride wouldn’t allow it.
“Whether you took anything or not isn’t the point; it’s that you tried.” She said, slightly pissed off. This girl didn’t have any shame did she? At least when Anneliese stole from the bar she felt bad about it. She crossed her arms over her and stood proudly. “In case mummy and daddy never told you, stealing is rude.” She attempted to mock Lillian’s accent but it was hard for her to mask her own Australian one.

Lillian grimaced when the door slammed in front of her. Okay, play time was over. Spinning quickly, she marched up to the other girl, grabbing her tunic and yanking her down to Lillian’s height. “Okay, babe, what is it that you want from me?”
"Oh, kinky. How fun." Anneliese commented, not bothered at all by the force. She worked with a bunch of drunks for god's sake, she could handle a little tussle. She certainly hadn't expected that amount of physicality from Lillian, but she wasn't necessarily offended. "But seriously, I don't want anything from you. I was hoping though for a little apology? You know, for trying to sack my shit?"

Do they eat a healthy diet? A varied one?
“I eat whatever is placed in front of me or whatever looks good. I really don’t look too much into my diet other than what’s easy. So for this, I’m going to go with no. I’m really lazy, so sometimes my dinner will be a box of cheese crackers. When I go out to eat though, I always get something new. So in that sense I’m very varied.”

Anneliese took the invitation gratefully. At this point, it was hard for her to stand up straight. He body slammed against it in a way that was uncomfortable, but she pretended as if her butt wasn't slightly throbbing from the impact.
"Not many have friends here babe." She pointed out. "That's why you gotta make friends. All those people over there," she motioned to the crowd that seemingly forgot about her previous presence. "I just met them, all of them. You know what, I'll be your friend! My name is Anneliese, or you can call me Anna, or Anne, or Annie or whatever version you want."

Anneliese tilted her head slightly to indicate thinking and gave her a slight smile. "You're not the only thief you know." Anneliese couldn't believe she actually said that out loud; it wasn't a fact about herself she was proud of. Then again, who was going to arrest here here? Then the red head began to walk away.
"Hmm, a challenge?" She said whimsically. With the slightest movement of her hand the door closed in front of Lillian. "How about that as some effort. Not everyone can do that you know?"
Anneliese should have let her go, but a part of her wouldn't just let her walk away. As much as she didn't like her, she still wanted to know more about her.

callmeanneliese:
Anneliese didn’t flinch when the girl stood even closer to her. Anneliese never gave up the chance to get close to a pretty girl, even if she didn’t think that they were the best of people. She even smiled a bit. This one wasn’t fake though, this was genuine entertainment.
If Lillian was going to do something to her, she would have done it already. She would have done it in the field as Anneliese chased after her. Anneliese had a feeling this girl was a lot of talk, but she wasn’t quite sure how big an attack would be. She leaned forward a bit. “Bite me.”
She was impressed by this girls stubbornness. Most people would have given up by now. Actually, it was kind of attractive – not that that would do anything to sway Lillian. When the other girl leaned forward and simply smirked bite me she almost kissed her right there. But she wasn’t that easy. “You’re going to have to try a little harder than that sweetheart. Picking me up is a challenge.”
Stepping back quickly, she slid by Anna with ease, heading for the doorway. “Well, if that’s all, I’d best be off. You know me, busy life. Things to do, people to steal from. Toodles!” She chirped with a little wiggle of her fingers and a kiss. Trying to be suave, she made for a hasty exit.

If Lillian was going to do something to her, she would have done it already. She would have done it in the field as Anneliese chased after her. Anneliese had a feeling this girl was a lot of talk, but she wasn't quite sure how big an attack would be. She leaned forward a bit. "Bite me."

Anneliese almost moved away at the touch, her gut told her to. She didn’t want to be mind controlled again, or whatever the hell this girl could do. Regardless, she maintained composition. “I may be charming but, I don’t think I’m nearly as enchanting as you; even if I’m the witch.” Two could play at this game. She gently brushed a strand of the girl’s hair behind her ear, then traced her finger down her jaw.
Anneliese smiled and raised her eyebrows, just joking with her. Her brief giggle subsided and she was left looking straight into the other girl’s eyes with a blazing look. Why can’t I be like this all the time? She wondered.
Lillian maintained intense eye contact as the girls hand brushed by her face, playing with her hair. Oh. So it was going to be like this. She liked this, this little game they were playing. She could be quite good at it. It didn’t hurt that Anna was easy on the eyes, too. “You flatter me, really,” she played off before quickly standing up from her seat.
She stood in front of the blonde, certainly invading her space. Lillian looked up at Anna over the small distance separating them and into her eyes, matching her defiant look. “Be careful who you mess with, babe.”

Lillian wanted to scowl but showing any weakness at this point was not what she wanted. This had devolved into a battle of wits. And avoiding getting her ass kicked. Not matter how much she hated that nickname she had to stay strong. Matching the peppy tone, she put on a sly grin. “I’d never complain about seeing your charming face, darling,” she purred as she ran a nail down Anna’s face gently. Not using her cubi powers, just trying to put the other girl on edge.
