It is international language week at my school. This morning a girl who is fluent recited the Pledge of Allegiance in Arabic. Everyone freaked out. Some people loved it, but more hated it. Saying that the pledge should only be spoken in English because “this is America not the Middle East” and now our principal just announced that we are no longer allowed to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in anything besides English at our high school. In the hallway I passed the girl who spoke the pledge. She was sobbing. This is to anyone who says that America is a post-racism world. Reblog the shit out of this. Get this known

I didn't hate the song, I just didn't really care... then I obliged myself to hear the complete bts discography to hear song that I missed hearing or only knew partially (for example the outros/intros of the O!RUL82 and Skool Luv Affair) and I heard again "Ma City". Have you ever listened to Mizmar Baladi? 🤔 In Egypt, Mizmar is one of the most popular music which is associated with the Egyptian heritage. Mizmars are usually played at weddings, birthdays, pilgrimage to perform Hajj and many different occasions.🎼

It is made from a single block of wood with a separate mouth-piece.

One of the dances that Mizmar is played as an accompaniment to is “Tahtip”, which is a Saidi dance from Upper Egypt.

Usually those who play Mizmar or dance Tahtib wear Jellabiya which is a traditional Egyptian garment.
