I could genuinely not be more fucking proud of my team! Today, at our first competition, we took first! I am so far beyond impressed with the work these guys have put in, and the dedication each and every one of them has shown. If you see any of these guys around campus, be sure to congratulate them on one hell of an awesome performance, and a well-deserved win! Those of you in my Introduction to submission class, please keep your eyes peeled for an assignment coming tomorrow. Everyone else, I will be in the kitchens tonight teaching a small lesson on baking different bread types, we will be making Brioche; Sourdough; and Focaccia Bread.

Hello and welcome to Dalton Atticus.  Bread making?  Never a skill I mastered in the kitchen.  Maybe I’ll pop by the kitchen and see if I can’t learn.

Who is your hero? My grandmother.  Make no mistake, she runs the show.  

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?  Probably on a ranch.  Not in Texas.  Maybe California, Wyoming, Colorado or Montana.  

What is your biggest fear?  Being terminally ill.  

What is your favorite family vacation?  I loved being on the ranch.  We rarely went anywhere.

What would you change about yourself if you could?  I’d have finished my PhD before coming to Dalton.

What really makes you angry? People who take advantage, don’t give a fuck, and expect everything.

What motivates you to work hard? Like minded people.

What is your favorite thing about your career?  Getting to understand people.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?  Honey roasted ham, roasted dill potatoes, glazed carrots, steamed greens, and fresh cornbread.  

Who is your favorite author?  Danielle Steele.  I’m a sucker for a romance.

Have you ever had a nickname? What is it?  Mia is my nickname.  Michaela is my real name.  My father and my brother call me ‘Peanut’.  

Do you like or dislike surprises? Why or why not? I usually like surprises.  They’re usually fun.

In the evening, would you rather play a game, visit a relative, watch a movie, or read?  Read.

Would you rather vacation in Hawaii or Alaska, and why?  Hawaii and horseback ride on the beach.

Would you rather win the lottery or work at the perfect job? And why?  Work the perfect job.  Lottery wins seem like something that changes a person.  

Who would you want to be stranded with on a deserted island?  My grandmother, actually, of my family.  Janelle.  

If money was no object, what would you do all day? Read, finish my PhD,   ride horses.  

If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to?  2014, when I graduated from my undergrad program.  

How would your friends describe you?  Determined, fierce, loyal, hard working.  

What are your hobbies?  Reading, working on the ranch, horseback riding, clothes shopping.

What is the best gift you have been given?  A pearl necklace that was my great-grandmothers.

What is the worst gift you have received? A pair of rainbow high socks and fingerless gloves that a very clueless boy gave me.  It was kind of sweet but they were not a look for me.

Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?  A glass of wine in the bath.

List two pet peeves.  Rude Ass People.  Pineapple, tomatoes, or spinach on Pizza.

Where do you see yourself in five years?  Probably still here.  Maybe with my Ph D.  Possibly teaching instead of working as a counselor.
