Callum had spent the morning training his size alterations and was exhausted. It often happened when he was tired and tried to hcange size, but he was know several inches shorter than he usually was, which mildly annoyed him. “What? Uh nope, I haven;t changed my hair. There’s definitely nothing different” he said, with an awkward laugh when he walked past somebody he recognised.

Callum had been on patrol, walking around downtown when he heard somebody screaming, springing to action he ran towards the sound of the voice. When he saw who had screamed, Calum recognised them, or at least knew who it was, so he  approached them.

“Sorry I didn;t mean to stare” Callum said softly, still watching the other carefully. “don’t worry I won’t tell anybody you swore but, are you okay? You seem upset” he walked towards the other carefully, wanting to help out if he could.

Karter grabbed onto an old filing cabinet on the side of the road, attempting to toss it across the street. The heavy metal didn’t budge, and his anger rose. “No!” Karter screamed, kicking the cabinet before he dropped to his knees. “No…” He repeated, the anger being replaced by an utter sadness. He’d been fighting a villain earlier in the day, and she’d boasted of power stealing abilities. Karter had ignored her, as these gimmicky villains usually didn’t effect his Kryptonian blood. He’d managed to call for help to defeat the villain, while his powers continued to weaken throughout the day. Now, he lay helpless in his supersuit and no better off than a civilian passing by.

Karter had limited instances in which he’d lost his powers, this only being the third or fourth time. As such, he struggled with coming to terms with the human side of his nature, and remain humble. “Fuck.” he cursed, looking up and wiping the tears from his eyes. “Didn’t realize someone was watching, s-sorry.” He tried to smile but failed miserably, the anger of failure still overshadowing any other emotion. Karter’s foot throbbed from the kick, and he winced at the minuscule pain.

“My god you’re such a loser” he laughed, shaking his head at the other. “The surprise is that you get to see me babe, what else could you want?” he teased, sticking his tongue out at Tommy. Callum tried his best to be subtle as he checked the other male out, always having thought he was hot.

“You got here quickly and that says a lot coming from me” came the cheesy line from Tommy’s lips, though only a few would know the reason as to what made it so cheesy and on the nose. “So what exactly are we in for tonight, what’s the big surprise?” He remarked, tossing his jacket to the chair of the hotel room and met eyes with the other guy. Sometimes Tommy knew who his client would be for the night and sometimes it was a complete mystery until he got there and right now was the latter.

“Alright.  Don’t expect me to hold back, though.”  Kaden laughed.  “I need to do some training too, so I’m not going to half-ass it.”  He nudged Callum with his elbow.  “But don’t worry, your pretty face is safe.”

“I’d be angry if you did decide to half ass it. That’s not going to help anybody is it?” he grinned at the other. “It is? Good. And I promise not to punch your pretty face too darling”

AMERICA DIDN’T TRY TO HIDE the smile on his face when he landed next to callum, or floated down next to him, rather. their time together on the young avengers had never been forgotten; it was one of the first true times that he felt at home with a bunch of people from earth. glancing over at him, he nudges him playfully. “i’ve always got time for you, lang.” queue a laugh. “what do you wanna get into, chico?” 

“Awh, look at you trying to make me feel special. Careful or I’m going to blush” he teased, letting out a laugh. “I don’t mind, I just want to hang out with you babe. We could get a drink?”

Callum was sat down outside, looking out over the city before him when somebody sat down next to him. “i was wondering when I’d see you again, got any plans for tonight or can we hang out?”

Starter Call for Callum

“Shit dude, watch where you’re going” Callum shook his head, picking the other up off the ground. “I’ll forgive you though, cause you’re cute”he smirked and winked playfully at the other. You’re not hurt, right?”

After a long flight that was supposed to only take six hours and now with the excruciating wait for his luggage, Jaime was becoming impatient, but the scarab attached to his spine has had enough. “No, we don’t have to jump in there, my luggage will come, I promise.” Soon enough, the Scarab began to partially transform which caused Jaime to pat himself awkwardly trying to stop the beetle until he saw his bag on the carousel and gave a sigh of relieve. “See? See!” He said rather loudly, bringing the gaze of the people in the near vicinity to him, believing that he was talking to himself. Reyes quickly grabbed all of his bags and made his way out, but he was quickly engulfed by the sea of people in the airport. “No! We can’t just fly above everyone else, people will know who I am. Besides, we’re just at the exit,” he said in a loud whisper, turning around as if the beetle was standing behind him. And when he did, the boy bumped into someone else, quickly falling to his ass. “Mierda,” he whispered to himself. “Please forgive me, I wasn’t looking where I was going.” Clearly, the beetle said to him, making Jaime let out a loud scoff as he stood back on his feet.

“you don’t have to, I know it’s a good show” he shrugged his shoulders with a smirk. “Nah, I gotta pick a nice shirt, always gotta look good, right?”

Tim looked up and stared for a bit.  “Generally if its urgent it is important yes”  He nodded then shrugged.  “but im not sure if this is really either.”

“Shush, you know what I mean.” he shook his head at the other. “Oh it’s not? Then I wont rush getting ready then, you can turn around while I find a shirt to put on if you want” he shrugged his shoulders, turning away and rifling through his wardrobe

“Are you sure dude? People don’t usually fall into walls when they’re okay” Callum took a step towards the other male. “I can help out if you need it, and I’ll totally keep it a secret if you’re embarrassed.” he laughed awkwardly, just wanting to make sure the older male was okay.

      He was exhausted. There was no denying that he was still doing everything he could to try and improve, but in fights like what he’d just gone through? He was at a pretty distinct disadvantage. He’d barely managed to scrape out a win, but his legs didn’t remain steady beneath him, collapsing against the nearest wall. At least his face was still covered by the mask, his suit in less than the best condition. “You can quit staring, man. I’m fine.” Well, he would be. There was probably blood and bruises but he’d be fine. The worst part was that the person he’d been fighting had gotten as well. He won the fight, but failed his damn mission. Again.

“That’s a pretty good way of doing it.” After tasting the sandwich he threw it out not knowing what it was but it didn’t taste good. “Well, I have to get back to my lesson plans.”

“It can be, it doesn’t really work most of the time. But hey, it’s still exercise right?” he laughed. “Ah Lesson Planning, that sounds fun. I’ll leave you to get on with that then sir.”

“I feel like I should be offended.”  Kaden laughed, sticking his tongue out at Callum.. “You suppose I’m not bad company, how dare you?”  He leaned back and sighed, a pleasant smile still on his face.  “Is there something in particular you wanted to work on, or is it just general training?”

“I was going to get some general training in to be honest” he admitted with a shrug of his shoulders. “But you’re good at hand to hand combat stuff, so maybe we could practice that? As long as you promise not to damage my pretty face” he joked
