Prior to Hiyori speaking up, Haruka's eyes had been directed skywards. With the trance broken, his attention goes to the young girl, puzzlement falling on his face. "Ah... eheh, the weather does feel a lot better nowadays, doesn't it?" he chimed quietly.
It took a moment for Haruka to react to hearing his name, perking up after a delay. In some ways, he could still see himself as Konoha, the name more likely to responded to at the current time as opposed to Haruka. "Kind of," he answered sheepishly, swinging his legs somewhat to get a start. It didn't last long, his feet disturbing the dirt before the swing went still again. "That's okay! I can swing myself," he continued with a small smile. Haruka's gaze shifted downwards, eyes shutting as he thought about to Konoha's wish. Well, his other self had done a good job, hadn't he? A quick glance to Hiyori brightened his smile somewhat, leaning back and pushing the playground equipment into motion again.
Hopefully the rest of the summer would be as fun as those peaceful days had been.
"I guess I don’t hate it that much after all." The words were spoken with a small half-smile to herself as the girl rocked back and forth on the swingset, pigtails swaying gently in the breeze behind her. "This kind of weather, that is."
A pause, before her gaze slowly traveled to the dark-haired male beside her. "Do you want to swing too, Haruka-san?" Even now, it was hard to get used to the fact that he had once been the certain white-haired android who had been living with them for a time — but she’d resolved to view the two as separate entities, despite how they admittedly shared the same charm points at times. "I can push you if you want." In reality, what she wanted more than anything else was to properly express her gratitude to him (she’d heard what had gone on in those last few moments from Hibiya afterward), but that could wait, she decided.
They had all the time in the world now, after all.

✿ ( hope this isn't late oops )
11: gentle kiss
One thing she always loved about this Haruka was the way his aura brightened up even her now dark and clouded heart. His smile was one that broke through those clouds and gave her a ray of hope. In all of this suffering, all of this tragedy, there was a good ending. He was living proof of it.
All she had to do was find it.
She was grateful that she found him, her last thread of hope to cling and hold onto was right in front of her and she grabbed it the second she could.
“…Haruka, I know you feel bad about everything that happened….
Perhaps worse things are yet to come but…
…You coming here and showing me that there was a good end means the world to me.”
Leaning over, she reached up and gently pressed her lips against his. Even before all of this, the girl wasn’t good at expressing how thankful she was. This was the only thing that came to mind…Even if it was a bit embarrassing.

Carefully, she parted her lips from his and smiled lightly for the first time in a long time.
”…T-Thank you.”

"What is it, Mary-chan?"
Grabbing the book, she held it close to her chest.
”H-Haruka-kun…Can I…ask you something?”

I don't think we've spoke once without getting into a bit of a disagreement. I don't understand why it has to be this way. I didn't mean to hurt you with what I said, but...
(Why can't we end this with the agreement that we can coexist?)

"It's fine."
He bent over, scooping the book up. This time, however, he held it out with both hands on the book so it was less likely to fall.

“Ah..Thank you.”
She replied before attempting to grab it from the other but ended up dropping it.
”Ah..S-Sorry..!”

"... Right."
He wanted to remember all of the adventures he -- well, Konoha -- had gone on with the group. Those timelines, most unique in content until... what? He knew exactly how most ended, pushing it from his mind to clear himself of negativity for at least a little while.
"Sorry. Don’t force yourself."
Comforting others had never been his specialty but better try than regret it. Haruka has passed the same events as everyone, it isn’t fair to make him act as if nothing of that had happened. It had. Countless times.

"I know, I... know."
The last word fell short, Haruka's shoulders falling back. His eyes avert to another spot of the area, refusing to make eye contact with Shintaro.
"You know that the past is the past, right? Let it go."
Again, he is a hypocrite but that is nothing new. He doesn’t follow his own words but the tragedy has finally ended.

It isn't that I don't want to talk. It's that I don't want to argue with you.
(I don't know what you're talking about. This already ended.)

"Of course!" Haruka reaches up, fingers gripping the spine before gently dragging it from its spot. "Here you go."
”H-Haruka-kun…C-Can you reach my book for me..?”

"Was I making a weird face?"
"Nothing in specific but why the expression?"
