the way i feel about God is like this.

every religion and spirituality and science and way of life is an attempt to understand something we simply never can. we are just limited humans reaching out for something unlimited and beyond our comprehension. we can never see the full picture; nobody is completely wrong or completely right.

and sometimes we come up with strict laws and rigid interpretations but God is neither strict nor rigid. God is eternity and love and creative ability. you cannot enclose that in a box or a book or a set of rules.

God is the reason why the universe exists and how the planets and stars and solar systems formed and how life evolved on this earth. when i look at the diversity of the tree of life and the intricacies of natural systems i see the Divine. even the tiniest subatomic particles are working together to form our world. and there is always more to question, more to learn, more to search for.

when i think about neurodivergence and queerness and how i transcend the hard lines we draw onto a soft world i think of God. and how much of a disservice we are doing to Them by trying to categorise a creation that is beyond categories.

God is so much more than anything people try to apply to Them. even the word God, or Allah, or YHWH, or G-d, or any other word, and the pronouns we try to attach to it, are ultimately futile. we cannot know God or the universe in full entirety. but we can know something. we are the universe waking up to experience itself and to look beyond its corners and wonder what we are.

and maybe the universe is all that exists. maybe there is nothing out there. but that, too, is something we can never know for sure.
