It took a while... a little frustrating.. But I got the answers.

Restaurant - Stir. Linden.

At a Lucky Monday Function a few weeks back, the manager of Rabbit In The Moon (it's awesome - go!) took a little time to update me on the JHB restaurant world... as one does.

The short end of a long story is... Apparently someone who had something to do with Possum's Bistro in Parkhurst is now running/owning/cooking in the kitchen of a little restaurant in Linden - called Stir.

Well.. that's reason enough for me! So, last night we went to check it out. 

Very charming. The whole place has a very charming and friendly feel to it. Our biggest - and probably only - complaint is that the chairs were not very comfortable! We could happily have sat chatting for ages, sitting on the deck while it poured with rain.

Anyway... on to the food - which was good. Very good. We had the coconut chicken and salad (i'm inspired since the boxercise classes) and Mushroom Lasagne. Both were yummy. Tasty summer meals. 

For dessert we went with the Creme Brûlée and chocolate brownies - both were AWESOMELY AMAZING. (By this point the boxercise classes were well forgotten.) The brownies were served with Nougat - which was pretty cool!

Wine selection wasn't bad... and the beers were cold.

All around I'd say a winner... We didn't book, but if you're so inclined... (011) 782 3567

Last night...

                                            ...after a particularly excellent boxercise class - by excellent I mean I didn't DIE of course - we went off to the Brightwater Commons for dinner. 

The Brightwater Commons happens to be one of those places which continues to surprise me. Last nights surprise - the Christmas lights made out of recycled cold drink bottles and cans!

I'm always left thinking.. why don't i come here more often?

So... i've done many many new and different things this year... This happens to be one i'm particularly proud of.

It's a funny thing...

...how quickly having to change your online profiles from '20 something' to '30 something' happens.

Why, just the other day I was going through life with gay abandonment looking for (and finding) as much excitement as possible. Now, not so much.

Not that i'm too upset about this mind you. In the great words of someone.. (God? Elvis? My mother?) It's time.

It's time to be responsible.

So life... I'll see you my 20's...and raise you my 30's.
