Hey moon baby! I have a NEW legacy challenge that I’m creating! It’s called the Bloom Legacy challenge that will follow 10 generations with goals to complete for each generation. I’m SO excited to get into this, and I hope you like it too! I’ve been working hard on creating a storyline for each generation and a backstory that has as many details as possible, to help guide you through the story - whilst also leaving enough room for you to make the story your own!

GEN ONE

Growing up, you were raised on a commune surrounded by people who cared for the environment and chose ‘slow living’. Everyone shared responsibility of taking care of the garden, cooking, cleaning, and taking care of the animals and plot of land you lived on. You ran around everywhere bare foot, and your best friends were the animals and plants surrounding you.

As you got older, you longed to start a life for yourself outside of the commune. You dreamed of a bigger life, in a new town, with an eco-home and an eco-aware town. You have heard of a town called Evergreen Harbour that has like-minded people trying to change the town’s industrial footprint and think this is the perfect place for you to start your own adventure.

Your parents don’t agree with your decision, and feeling trapped, you decide to leave on your own when you become a young adult. One night, you grab a tent from the commune and walk out with nothing but the clothes on your back, the tent, and a plan to start your new life in Evergreen Harbour.

When you arrive, the backpacking shelter is completely full. It’s fine, you have your tent and your knowledge of plants. You stumble across an abandoned lot/junkyard by the trains and decide this will be the best spot for you. It’s close to the community centers that need fixing up, and you can meet multiple people in this area. You’re scared but excited to start your new life here.

You survive by dumpster diving for furniture, meals and any money you can gather. You connect with the community, meet like-minded people, and start working towards turning this town into an eco-friendly neighborhood. You start to clean up the lot you’re living on, removing the trash, filling the place with any produce/plants you can find, and building an eco-home from the ground up.

You continue to make money through your garden and making things at the Maker Space when you finally achieve the goal of opening this space with the community.

You fall in love with someone you meet from the backpacking shelter (any gender/pronouns). Eventually you have a child/children (this can be with a partner OR you can stay single if it suits your storyline and go through IVF/adoption for a child if you want to be a single parent), adopt stray animals you meet along the way, and create an eco-paradise that you dreamed of in a town you now call home.

Goals:

Color: Green + Brown

Aspiration: Eco Innovator

Traits: Freegan, Green Friend, Loyal (Animal enthusiast in addition/or instead of Loyal)

Skills: Gardening, Charisma, Knitting

Career: Civil Designer then Green Technician

- Get the Maker Space in the community

- Clean up the abandoned lot/junkyard and build a tiny or small home with a functioning garden

- Recycle everything, use the water collector, use the fabricator for some furniture items, eventually have solar panels, eat from your garden, pass the eco-inspections, have knitting as a hobby/side hustle.

- Have at least one child for the Gen Two heir

- Turn the town and your home into a greener space, changing the footprint from industrial to eco-friendly

- Have at least one pet that you adopted as a stray

GEN TWO

As a child, you grew up watching your parent/s show you how to be self-sufficient and respect the environment and the animals around you. You lived a slow but happy life and watched the town around you change before your eyes.

Except it wasn’t enough. You would listen to your parent talk about how they left a commune to start an adventure in your hometown – and you get it – you want to start your own adventure too.

But your heart isn’t interested in gardening in a small town, living the slow life. You want to go bigger, live faster. When your parent/s took you to ThrifTea, you know that fashion was calling your name. Your parent/s raised you to understand that thrift shopping was an important way to stay impact conscious about the environment, so you decide you want to make it in the fashion world with thrifted looks.

You’re creative as a child, drawing different outfits and designs you dream up. You have big dreams of moving to the city in San Myshuno and making it as a sustainable fashion influencer.

Studying? University? Not for you. You save money from a child and into your teens, putting it away in a little jar you’ve kept in your room ready to move to the city. You decide to drop out of high school; you’re done, and you’re ready for San Myshuno, no matter what that means. With the money you have saved, you say goodbye to your parents, and head into your new life, excited for what lies ahead.

The city is loud, busy and completely different from your slow paced, eco town. And you love it. You party, meet friends, and set up a tiny apartment. (You can have roommates if this is something you want to add to your story).

You meet other people interested and immersed in the fashion world and form a clsoe group of friends. You work on being an influencer and strive to be the best Trendi seller/buyer.

You enter your Young Adult life by partying one night. You have a one-night stand, and this is how we welcome Gen 3 into the world. You’re not sure how you’re going to make this work while you’re in a tiny apartment and growing your fashion business, but you work as hard as you can to afford to stay in the city.

You pick up photography in addition to Trendi and find you enjoy this, too. You meet all kinds of people around the city and get to experience food festivals, Geek con, football events, Cottage fairs, etc.

As you get older (Adult), you meet someone whilst working and decide they’re who you want to settle down with.

Goals:

Aspiration: Child - Artistic Prodigy, Teen: Admired Icon, Young Adult/Adult: City Native aspiration

Traits: Party Animal, Outgoing, Perfectionist

Skills: Photography, Creativity, Logic

- Move to San Myshuno with your laptop and money you’ve saved so far

- Have a tiny apartment (roommates optional)

- Go clubbing, to parties and all city events

- Become successful in the Trendi / influencer path

- Get pregnant on your birthday as a Young Adult when partying one night

- Raise the child while you work as an influencer, and start photography as side hustle

- Meet someone to settle down with as an Adult

- Go to all events around the Sims 4 world (Geek Con, Spice Festival, etc) for photography

the aesthetics challenge: a ten generations legacy challenge

i've always loved to play challenges in the sims 4, i find that they push to gameplays that i otherwise would probably never try, so i decided to try to create my own challenge.

while creating the requirements for each generation i was looking at the aesthetics wiki, so feel free to check it out if you have any doubt as to what an aesthetic means or what it should look like. also, i'm aware that some of this may not fit what some people think about certain aesthetics, but this was my own interpretation of them with the resources provided by the sims 4 gameplay to the date i'm posting this, so be nice pls <3

while making this i realized that someone else had already made a challenge with the same idea, though there are only two aesthetics that appear in both challenges and the requirements are different.

general rules:

though some generations do require you to live in a specific place, i i only added the world part as to give you an idea, but you're welcome to have your sim live wherever you wish if not necessary.

given that it's a challenge based around the idea of aesthetics, you should probably create your sim based around the designated aesthetic

unless stated otherwise, you can marry/get together with any sim with whatever traits

generation #1: witchcore

growing up you always loved to read about magical worlds and fantastic realms, so you used to stay away from other people and with the company of your beloved books and a cat. but when visiting a mysterious town you meet an strange man who claims to be a spellcaster, you witness all of your dreams come true and beg him to teach how to become one.

traits: cat lover, loner, bookworm

aspiration: spellcraft & sorcery

your parent may have been able to cast actual magic and all that, but ever since you were little you knew that the only magic you could do was with plants, and so you commit your life to learning everything you can about them and how to take care of them, but when you're not doing this, and unlike your parent, you love to hangout with other people and your dogs on the outdoors, though you mostly like to talk about plants.

it's not that you didn't like your parent, it's just that they could sometimes be... a little too much when it came to their jokes. you always felt as though you got along better with animals than with other people, so you prefered to spend your time in the outdoors surrounded by them, so when you are old enough you move to the countryside and buy a farm where you take of many animals and attend the farm festival, where you fall in love with a local sim.

"some people are simply better than others" it's a phrase that you wholeheartedly believe and live by. you love art, music, books and everything sofisticated, so you choose a career that will allow to enjoy of such things, but when your parents decide to make a call to boost your admission chances to your dream university due to the being alumnus, it makes you forever question whether you truly deserved it or not, so you work harder than everyone else to prove you're worth it.

they say like parent like children, and they're right. growing up you always saw just how hard your parents worked and how much they managed to achieve due to that hardwork, so you decide to be just like them, except for one little thing: you want to be an internet personality. so you go to college and at the same time become a simfluencer, at least until you graduate, but you still keep updating your social media everytime possible. you are always concerned with becoming your best self in terms of mind and body.

traits: perfectionist, over-achiever, neat

aspiration: renaissance sim

job: simfluencer part-time job as a teenager, style influencer on the trendsetter branch

you grew up watching your parents constantly working, and while that never stopped them from being as loving and doting as possible, seeing their frantic lifestyle made you realize that you want nothing to do with that lifestyle, in fact, you want to just relax and enjoy life in a beach while drinking your favorite drink. so you work all of your youth and once you become an adult you move to a beach, quit your job and enjoy the rest of your life with your loved ones.

The Feline Legacy Challenge

This is my long-awaited legacy challenge based on certain cat breeds. I had a lot of fun writing this challenge and play-testing it. It is for those of you who enjoy storytelling and want a new let's play to do for YouTube.

The Feline Legacy Challenge is a nine-generation challenge (because cats have nine lives) and focuses on specific cat breeds I personally adore in real life and in the game. This legacy challenge is story based, and you may adjust some requirements if you do not have the packs. Unless specifically stated otherwise, do not change the traits, skills, and aspirations.

General Rules and Required Packs

Each sim must own the cat breed that they represent for each generation. Generation One must have an American Longhair as a pet, etc.

You may use money cheats, I will not lie I used them during play testing and there is a 50/50 chance I will use them if I do a let's play. Do not use them excessively but can use them when moving each Generation into their own homes and as gifts occasionally from parents if it fits the storyline I or you create.

There are no set colors for these generations but feel free to use the colors that I chose for the images of each generation. I encourage you to make your own colors for this legacy as I think it is fun to be able to choose.

High School Years are not required, but it is recommended especially for later generations and the first one.

You may adjust some requirements for each generation if you do not have the packs or just do not enjoy the gameplay that is required. As long as it still fits the main storyline I created or is closely related to it, I do not care about what is changed.

The required Expansions and Game Packs are below, and the only stuff pack required is Nifty Knitting

You must complete all skills, aspirations, and careers for each generation unless otherwise stated in the requirements section. If

If the heir of generation dies before you complete the requirements you fail the challenge, unless, the heir already was married and had at least one child. Then you may move onto the next generation or start over the challenge again.

Unless otherwise stated you can marry your sims but be careful to view the rules before doing so.

Gen One: American Longhair

You have always been a child (at heart) and enjoy playing when you have free time. However, you also have a lazy side and nobody can get you to move from the couch after work. You are a smart person and are set to graduate earlier than your twin sibling who spends more time traveling than attending school. You found a cat that was sick one day and took it to the local vet and fell in love with them immediately. Your sibling is allergic to cats, so you have never been able to keep them in your home. Your parent agreed to let you keep them if they stayed in your bedroom and your bedroom only. The cat seems to be your only friend. In high school, you stayed alone because everyone thought you were a nerd and loser compared to your sibling. Once you graduated early, you and your cat moved to a small home near the water. You never revealed to anyone that your favorite pastime is fishing and that living by the water has always been your dream. You are a genius and go to Foxbury University with a distinguished degree in Computer Science. After graduating, you go into Engineering and meet your future partner at your job. You knew you always wanted to have at least three children and needed to meet someone who loves children and loves family.

Requirements:

Graduate early (skip if you do not have High School Years)

Find and adopt a sick cat and make them better

Go to Foxbury with a Distinguished Degree

Go into Engineering and meet your partner there (must have family orientated trait)

Complete the Engineering Career

Have at least two children

Skills: get level ten in Fishing, Programming, and Robotics

Traits: Genius, Childish, Lazy

Gen Two: Bengal

You were always the adventurous type growing up as a kid and teen. You loved traveling to Mt.Komorebi with some friends during high school and spent most of your time snowboarding and skiing. You are a very active person and love to go on morning jogs before going to work at the hospital as a doctor. Your parents never thought you would make it through University since you spent more time playing basketball or in Mt. Komorebi with your friends. You pushed through and graduated from University with a degree in Biology. As much as you love having your family around, you never dreamed of having a large family. You want to settle down and would love to call Komorebi your home. Living there will give you the best chance at climbing to the top of Mt. Komorebi with your friends or your partner. After climbing that mountain, you settle down and have two kids of your own, who happen to be extremely close in age.

Requirements:

Go to Mt. Komorebi at least three times with friends as a teen

Graduate University with a degree in Biology

Jog every morning or every other morning before work

Move from your childhood home or current residence to Komorebi

Settle down with someone you meet on your adventures, at work, or with a friend

Have only two kids that are close in age

Skills, Aspiration, and Traits:

Skills: master skiing or snowboarding, mountain climbing, and fitness

Aspiration: Mt. Komorebi Sightseer

Traits - Cheerful, Active, and Adventurous

Gen Three: Oriental Longhair

You have always been a people person growing up, and your parents never knew where you got it from. Sure, one of your parents was always sociable and played a lot of sports, and the other barely shared those same qualities. You grew up in Mt. Komorebi but want to see the rest of the world. You want to live in a close-knit community, so you settle down in Willow Creek. Before moving to Willow Creek, you move to the big city of San Myshuno where you find comedy as your calling. Going to University was never on your radar and while your parents expressed their distaste for you not going, they supported your decision. The family was never your main focus in life, yes you love yours dearly, but you never really wanted to start one of your own. You have never understood romance but liked to have fun here and there. The city is full of nightclubs means you could go partying on Fridays and hoke up with some people. During one of these hookups, you get pregnant and wake up. No more drinking and no more hooking up with strangers. Instead of having one baby, you end up having twins both of which you love but barely spend time with because you are too focused on your comedy career. You finish your job by the time that you are an adult and decide to move out of San Myshuno into Willow Creek.

Requirements:

Live in San Myshuno until you’re an adult then move to Willow Creek and live there the rest of your life.

Finish the Comedy Career before you age up into an Adult

Go clubbing every Friday and hook up with at least three people and one of them gets you pregnant.

Have twins and barely spend time with them

Never get married but allow the other parent to see them (when they are children and above)

Complete all skills and aspiration

Skills, Aspiration, and Traits:

Skills: Mischief, Charisma, and Comedy

Traits: Clumsy, Ambitious, and OutGoing

Aspiration: Friend of the World

Gen Four: Burmese

You and your sibling were never close to the parent you primarily lived with, but you enjoyed spending your time with the other one. You moved in with them while you went to University and your other sibling decided to stay behind. Growing up you always loved being around people and had many friends compared to your twin sibling. You love people so much that you decided you want to teach them and go to the University of Britechester to pursue an education degree. You want to educate the generation of tomorrow and hold your future kids to almost unrealistic education standards. You marry shortly after you graduate from University to a person you meet in one of your classes at University. You have always wanted a close-knit family like your parents originally wanted, and have four kids of your own. You live in a townhome in Britechester after not wanting to leave the college town. You always let your children see their grandparents. You have one child who is a child prodigy in either acting, sports, or the arts, and you never let them do what their siblings get to do. You focus all of your attention on them, and it causes some strain and eventually ends in a divorce and your partner taking the other three kids with them. You make sure the one kid who stayed with you (most likely out of here of failing you because of your ridiculous standards) gets at the top of their class and graduates early.

Requirements:

Move in with your other parent as a teen

Go to the University of Britechester after graduating

Meet someone and date them until you both graduate and get married

Continue to live in Britechester for the rest of your life

Have four children and focus all of your time on one and make sure they are perfect

Your relationship ends in divorce and the three other kids move out with their other parent

Continue to focus on your one child until they graduate high school and go to college

Complete the Education Career

Gen Five: Havana Brown

You never had many friends growing up because you never had time for friendship. Your siblings started to resent you after your parent started to focus all of their time and attention on you and their job. Your parents got a divorce and your other parent and siblings moved out leaving you behind with the viper your parent is. You grew up resenting school but knew if your grades slip, your parent would punish you for it. You focused all of your time on escaping into the worlds of gaming and writing. When you were not doing your school work and your extracurriculars, you wrote or played video games to escape your almost hellish life. Once your graduated and got into University you quickly dropped out and moved far away from your parent in Windenburg. You attempt to make friends by visiting local cafés and spending most of your day writing books. One day you decide to call your older sibling and ask if they want to catch up since you finally escaped your parent's clutches. They agree, and you finally start to get close to them. They help you out by getting you a part-time job as their babysitter (join the babysitting career and pretend you are watching their children). You do that and continue writing books until you get a stable enough income. You eventually meet someone at the café shop and your love of writing and books pulls off. You both rush into marriage as adults and adopt two children sims since you waited too late to get pregnant. You do not hold them up to high standards and give them the life you wish you had.

Requirements:

Go to University and stay in the housing and drop out after the first week

Move to Windenburg and move beside the cafe or in the neighborhood near it

Spend your days writing books and gaming to make money

Eventually, call up one of your siblings and mend your relationship with them

Start babysitting for them by joining the babysitting career

Continue going to the cafe on your days off and meet someone who is a book lover

Get married after the first date as an adult and adopt two children

Skills, Traits, and Aspiration:

Skills: writing, video gaming, and logic

Traits: Book Lover, Socially Awkward, and Loner

Aspiration: Bestselling-Author

Gen Six: Scottish Fold

You have always been mystified by the stories your adoptive parent made, so mystified indeed that you want to become one of the creatures your parent always writes about. You begin your research into one of these mystical creatures and how to turn into one of them. In your free time, you do a lot of knitting, painting, and crocheting. You are living the true granny lifestyle until you find a way to get the needed materials to turn into the creature you desire. Until then, you do decide to try to meet people in the parks or through old friends in school. You have never been the dating type but would love to have family and settle down with someone even if it just platonically. You find the needed materials to transform into your desired occult and go through the transformation or the trials to become one. Your partner is not the happiest in the world with you, but they support you nonetheless. You have one child, and you love them unconditionally even when they show more love to your parents and partner.

Requirements:

Become an occult by the time you’re an adult (Alien, Werewolf, Spellcaster, Mermaid, and Vampire (maybe even a plant sim?)

Never have an actual job and only make money from your crafts until you’re an adult then get a part-time job

Meet someone through a friend or at the park

Have one kid and allow your parents to come over weekly

Have a semi-close relationship with them but never anything above your parent's relationship with them

Get married after you turn into an occult

Skills: knitting, cross-stitching, and painting

Traits: one occult-related trait (basically you chose a trait that matches the occult you chose), art lover, and good

Aspiration: Any Aspiration Associated with the Occult you choose, if you chose Alien go with Lord/Lady of the Knits or Painter Extraordinaire

Gen Seven: Abyssinian

You are a mischievous person who has an obsession with all things evil and strange. You always pulled pranks growing up, especially during your teen years. You pranked teachers, other students, and even pranked toilets at any chance you got. (What did the toilets ever do to you? Catch on fire?) As a young adult, you decide to move to Strangerville and join the Criminal Career. Gen Eight: Sphynx

You were forgotten as the middle child by everyone in your family. Yes, your parents gave you everything you ever wanted but ignored you when you were not begging them for stuff or money. They never paid attention to your fascination with acting, never came to your plays and did not even know you graduated early. You go to University for a degree in Drama with the hopes of becoming a star and living your best life in Del Sol Valley, away from your family. However, that does not work well once your parent finds out you live their and forces you to let them live with you. You reluctantly agree but tell them they have to leave when you meet someone to live the rest of your life with. They agree to leave after you do, and they do not realize how difficult they are making your love life. Once you reveal that your parent lives with you, most of the people you meet decide to not have a second date. You eventually find love on one of the sets of what you are filming. You parent leaves once your love interest moves in with you and you never hear from her again. You decide to distance yourself and focus on your relationship and career. Quickly achieving a five-star (or four) level and moving into a mansion (you can cheat the money to buy the home, pretend it was a gift from the agency). You and your new partner decide to start a small family and have two kids. You attempt to show them the love your parents gave you without spoiling them.

Gen Nine: Siamese

You love a relaxed lifestyle and you learned to appreciate both yourself and the planet. After living in Del Sol Valley your entire childhood you are ready to move on. You decide to move to Evergreen Harbor and notice how much the area has been polluted. You make it your goal to heal your neighborhood from the pollution before you decide to start a family. You have on and off again relationships which led to you (or the person that you were with) getting pregnant. You spend a lot of time gardening, keeping bees and other bugs, living the simple life, and going off the grid. You believe you can make your family sustainable without having to rely on the town's power and water. You live your best life helping the planet, caring for your kid, and dumpster diving. You love crafting your own furniture and finding someone who also shares the same love. You believe marriage is a money making scheme and never get married and your partner accepts that. Most of the main furniture in your home is crafted by you or your partner. You make your own drinks and sell your stuff every Saturday in front of your home. You decide to have one more kid to give your oldest someone to hang out with because you notice they are having issues making friends. By the end of your adulthood (or young adult if you speed run) you make your neighborhood green again.

Do not join any careers and make your money selling crops, honey, and other resources (you may join the freelancer job)

Must have the Off the Grid and Simple Living Lot Challenges

Get pregnant or get someone else pregnant and raise them alone

Have one more child and never get married

Starting out ✿

Feel free to make your heir however you would like, traits and aspirations are listed in their sections however the looks are completely up too you. No specific lot sizes required, feel free to move lots for each generation.

General rules ✿

No mods that give you an advantage MCC is allowed

CC is encouraged

The challenge does require sims 4 packs so be weary

New moon

Most people as they grow up loose the child inside of them, their creativity, their spark you know how it goes when people mature, but not you. You’ve always had a broad imagination and a childlike wonder of the world. However it comes with its difficulties like finding love, but now that your older you want to explore your wonder to its full potential

≫ must max, painting, baking and fabrication skills (candle making)
