how do you get the counts for the number of posts in each tag, like in your pinned post? or do you do that manually (respect)

I manually went and counted each one haha :,] I love having it organized though and I use my tumblr account to go back and find my art. I really wish there was a better way to sort through posts than the profile tag search. I think that an automatic topic post count (or some kind of stats bar) at the top would be really useful to quickly see how many times someone posts about something you like

So, how do you make your own malevoling? I suggest heading over to the MALEVOLING MASTERDOC, a document I created that has everything you need to know about malevolings. Otherwise, you can follow these simple steps to design your own malevoling:

There are four malevoling varieties: plasmic, aquatic, arthropodic, and mammalic. After choosing one, pick a few features to make it your own. Their skin pattern is typically the season art of the season you're currently on, but it can also be your favorite season or a mixture of multiple.

Finally, you can pick a name and create a profile:

Name

Titles:

Created and owned by: (Your name)

Season currently on: (The season you are most caught up on)

Details: (Information about them)

*If someone else created it for you, in the second line instead write: “Created by (artist name) owned by (your name.)”

Here are some body type options. Make it your own and have fun! I suggest scrolling through the MALEVOLING MASTERDOC to get a feel of what other people have already made.

Here's an example, Lambling (owned by @lambdalegend, created by @candycassowary) Lambling is a mammalic malevoling with season four colors and three eyes. Have fun with your design, the instructions are loose and meant as an outline, not hard rules.

I’m so excited to finally announce malevolings to the public, outside of the Invictus Stream/Malevolent discord server.

Since malevolings aren’t part of Malevolent canonically, I’d prefer if malevoling posts weren’t tagged #malevolent or #malevolentfanart. I would rather not flood the main tag and bury amazing Malevolent artwork.

These three posts will have the main tags so that the fandom can find them, and after that, I’ll not be using them on any malevoling posts. Please instead use these: #malevolings, #malevoling sona. I think related tags would be ok, like #malevolent fandom and #malevolent au. Thank you for understanding and respecting the artists!

MALEVOLING ANNOUNCEMENT: PART 1

Do you listen to Malevolent? Do you like making fan-sonas and original characters? Imagine if there was a way to combine the two…

HEY, GOOD NEWS! I have been working with other artists on a species called "malevolings:" critters inspired by Malevolent season cover art. These mischievous entities are self-inserts with a wide variety of customizable parts. Malevolings started as a joke of mine (below) last November. It snowballed into a massive project.

Over the last several months, we've been working hard on malevolings so that they can appeal to many people and so anyone can participate, whether or not they listen to Malevolent.

If you want to learn more, please read the MALEVOLING MASTERDOC to find the full catalog of over thirty (and counting) original malevoling characters– as well as a city map, worldbuilding info, and a community art gallery! There's lots to explore, including social hierarchies, traditions, and activities I wrote based on the real weekly Malevolent voting polls that we discuss and collaborate on.

Ah yeah,,, I got really addicted to social media and it was affecting my mental health so I decided to get rid of my smart phone over a year and a half ago. I scan all of my paper art through the printer and save the scan files on my computer, or I take a photo with my mom's phone and email it to myself. Sketches inspired by @minuspluvea's art style, his design for Kayne and the little voice demons are so creative, I wanted to give it a try

Regan's art style stuck with me for its fantastic movement and grittiness, how the figures fill the space so creatively like a tapestry or a fresco. I drew from memory and ended up combining his Kayne design with my own...

Here's one of those demon things on John's shoulder, (also shown below) they're expressive and melodramatic I love them so much
