I had to share this project of mine.
It's far from perfect but as someone whose brain absolutely REFUSED to understand crochet last year, I'm really proud of myself for that one.

sure ok. why did eddie even go to texas then? why set up that he’s gonna choose to stay with the 118 (not even like. a buddie thing specifically) for himself because thats where he belongs and then instead he’s forced to stay by CHIMNEY??? why did bobby die?? why did athena sell their house? why did eddie go to texas?? why was eddie going to texas buck’s entire storyline for the season? why chekovs el paso fire employee who abandoned them for a wife in another state? why did eddie tell buck he wasn’t going to make him move out if he came back and then he moved out?? why did bobby die in the middle of a season of rat disease?? why the silly and flippant tone after bobby died? why the 4 minute funeral? why the theme of people returning? why the grahambobby parallel except he lives??? why did athena take bobby’s body to minnesota? how is maddie already giving birth?? how long was eddie in texas? why didn’t chris ever express any desire to move back to LA ?? why did hen do literally nothing all season?? why did bobby die? why did eddie go to texas?

This tool is optional. No one is required to use it, but it's here if you want to know which of your AO3 fics were scraped. Locked works were not 100% protected from this scrape. Currently, I don't know of any next steps you should be taking, so this is all informational.
Most people should use this link to check if they were included in the March 2025 AO3 scrape. This will show up to 2,000 scraped works for most usernames.
Or you can use this version, which is slower but does a better job if your username is a common word. This version also lets you look up works by work ID number, which is useful if you're looking for an orphaned or anonymous fic.
If you have more than 2,000 published works, first off, I am jealous of your motivation to write that much. But second, that won't display right on the public version of the tools. You can send me an ask (preferred) or DM (if you need to) to have me do a custom search for you if you have more than 2,000 total works under 1 username. If you send an ask off-anon asking me to search a name, I'll assume you want a private answer.
In case this post breaches containment: this is a tool that only has access to the work IDs, titles, author names, chapter counts, and hit counts of the scraped fics for this most recent scrape by nyuuzyou discovered in April 2025. There is no other work data in this tool. This never had the content of your works loaded to it, only info to help you check if your works were scraped. If you need additional metadata, I can search my offline copy for you if you share a work ID number and tell me what data you're looking for. I will never search the full work text for anyone, but I can check things like word counts and tags.
Please come yell if the tool stops working, and I'll fix as fast as I can. It's slow as hell, but it does load eventually. Give it up to 10 minutes, and if it seems down after that, please alert me via ask! Anons are on if you're shy. The link at the top is faster and handles most users well.
On mobile, enable screen rotation and turn your phone sideways. It's a litttttle easier to use like that. It works better if you can use desktop.
Some FAQs below the cut:
"What do I need to do now?": At this time, the main place where this dataset was shared is disabled. As far as I'm aware, you don't need to do anything, but I'll update if I hear otherwise. If you're worried about getting scraped again, locking your fics to users only is NOT a guarantee, but it's a little extra protection. There are methods that can protect you more, but those will come at a cost of hiding your works from more potential readers as well.
"I don't want to know!": This tool is 100% optional. If you don't want to know, simply don't click the link. You are totally welcome to block me if it makes you feel more comfortable.
"Can I see the exact content they scraped?": Nope, not through me. I don't have the time to vet every single person to make sure they are who they say they are, and I don't want to risk giving a scraped copy of your fic to anyone else. If you really want to see this, you can find the info out there still and look it up yourself, but I can't be the one to do it for you.
"Are locked fics safe?": Not safe, but so far, it appears that locked fics were scraped less often than public fics. The only fics I haven't seen scraped as of right now are fics in unrevealed collections, which even logged-in users can't view without permission from the owner.
"My work wasn't a fic. It was an image/video/podfic.": You're safe! All the scrape got was stuff like the tags you used and your title and author name. The work content itself is a blank gap.
"It's slow.": Unfortunately, a 13 million row data dashboard is going to be on the slow side. I think I've done everything I can to speed it up, but it may still take up to 10 minutes to load if you use the second link. It's faster if you can use desktop or the first link, but it should work on your phone too.
"My fic isn't there.": If it was published after March 15th, 2025, that was likely after all of the scraping took place. Otherwise, from what I can tell so far, the scraper's code just... wasn't very good, so most likely, your fic was missed by random chance. I am continuing to look for methods to reduce the chances of a work getting scraped anyway, and I will share on this blog if/when I find something that works. For older fics, I've seen chapters published up to March 21st included in the dataset.
Thanks to everyone who helped with the cost to host the tool! I appreciate you so so so much. As of this edit, I've received more donations than what I paid to make this tool so you do NOT need to keep sending money. (But I super appreciate everyone who did help fund this! I just wanna make sure we all know it's all paid for now, so if you send any more that's just going to my savings to fix the electrical problems with my house. I don't have any more costs to support for this project right now.)
(Made some edits to the post on 17-May-2025 to update information!)

every interview asking about buddie and oliver stark going "i just work here :)" is so incredibly interesting to me bc listen. he used to be like "yeah i'i love that the fans love it i can see what they see in the edits ryan and i send each other some and i cry to them in the shower haha but yeah i don't know it's not up to me!" but now he's spitting out the same incredibly scripted answer every time while he smiles like a LOSER and gets all pink like the spirit of ryan guzman is taking over his body while he struggles to make any eye contact. and this is happening when we know ryliver's doing a press circuit soon. cool. surely this means absolutely nothing :)

do you think tia pepa and abuela called buck buckito one time and went “eddito that sounds terrible, what can we call him” and eddie, whose brain is flashing ERROR because his family didn’t take to shannon like this—n-not that buck is anything LIKE shannon—whatever, goes, lamely, “uh his name is evan?” and tia pepa and abuela’s eyes light up with glee and they nod and say “yes, evancito is much better” “i agree, mija”

I just know that hot priest was happy to get a confession which was like "he's dead and I'm trying to connect with him here" instead of the "I murdered my family" and "my son saw me kissing his dead mom" kinda confessions

eddie diaz was not allowed to slay and be gay and be homosexual and like boys when he was young so now we have him at 34 years old saying things like “the trials and tribulations of evan buckley, a tragedy in 97 acts” and we’re just supposed to pretend that’s a normal thing to say

like eddie’s anger didn’t even last that long. like he went to the couch fuming and buck went to the bedroom also fuming and then maybe an hour or so later eddie was like huh. that was insane. i gotta make an elaborate scheme to make this up for my best but buck. hmmm i know exactly what to do. fly chris to la. an overnight flight. then his broke ass opened the website and actually booked a flight. an overnight, one way ticket. then ig he called his parents and chris very late at night like. hey. Take Chris To The Airport Tomorrow Morning. and his parents were probably like What. and eddie was like do it :). drive him to the airport??? I GUESS??? then he probably slept with a big smile on his face while buck was probably wallowing in the bedroom because eddie was hurting and buck, who’s fluent in eddie, missed it. and when buck woke up he was ready to talk about it. but eddie was gone. and he left a note. saying he went to the airport. he was probably giggling the whole time too. because he’s insane. oh my god eddie diaz you are so crazy and i love you so bad and so does evan buckley and i hope he eats your ass about it.

Here are all the callbacks buddie in 817 had to previous scenes I have found so far.
First off, obviously the grocery store fight in 306.
The scene also calls back to the fight before Shannon leaves in 315. The way it was filmed calls back to the breakup with Ana in 503.
It also calls back to the other 2 fights Buck and Eddie had, gym scene in 201, and the 809 one, because Eddie in black and the angles.
Color-wise, Buck's orange is similar to the one Shannon is wearing when she comes back in 207 ("what did you need that I didn't give you" "you") and Shannon and Eddie are in orange and black in 213.
Buck himself is wearing a similar shade of orange when he starts the lawsuit in 304, when he stops the car that fixes the lawsuit in 306, when he finds out about Daniel in 404, when he talks to Chris in 701. He's in a brighter version of it when he tells Maddie and Chim about therapy in 403.
There's the actual dialogue of Eddie calling back to his breakdown. That's the description of what happened to Eddie in 513.
Waking up in the middle of the night, to that news. Sitting alone in the dark. Trying to keep it together so I don't scare the crap out of my kid.
Eddie walking in has similar visual cues to Eddie walking in after his therapy session in 514, from different angles.
The kitchen of it all calls back to Buck asking about Kim in 709, Buck finding out about Texas in 808, the talk in 612 if we decide to push it a little lol, granted the kitchen was a lot colder in 817 that we've ever seen it before.
Buck finding the note, obviously calls back to Shannon leaving. (Couch theory, you will forever be famous).
Buck is in that forest green we nicknamed the breakup green (even though the green is mostly about Buck being misguided in his own feelings, this is more about Buck jumping to conclusions, meta on the green here, please see the full picture of the use of green with Buck because it's fascinating), so call back that feeling.
I'm gonna treat Buck's shirt as both grey and blue because it looks bluer in some bits of the scene and greyer in others, just go with it for the sake of this exercise.
Most importantly, this scene calls back to the post-tsunami talk.
Inverted colors, but the same feeling, Eddie is using Chris to snap Buck out of it. This is a mirror if we count Buck's shirt as blue.
But if we count his shirt as grey, this is the mirror, 612. Both moments where Eddie is offering Buck something Buck doesn't know how to ask for.
The Chris of it all also calls back to 301, when Eddie storms into the loft to leave Chris with him. Eddie already being in the house also calls back to this.
If we count Buck's shirt as grey, we are calling back to the moments Buck is casually parenting Chris, like in 408 when Chris runs to the loft and when they are making the cookies in 613.
The scene as a whole calls back to after the earthquake, this one more if we count the shirt as blue, after the tsunami, after the shooting, but inverted, since Eddie is the one watching Chris with Buck this time.
The whole thing also calls back to 408 with Eddie coming home from the date with Ana (construction on sunset, baby), color-wise too since Eddie is that rust type color in both scenes.
Buck teasing Eddie about ordering pizza made me think of 707 after Buck burns the lasagna and the "20 Buck's for pizza" in 303, but that's a me thing.
Buck offering to cook in an ambiguous blueish-grey shirt calls back to Buck making them dinner in 601. (Couch theory conversation, anyone?)
Buck walking in visually calls back to the fight in 809. Eddie is leaning against the wall Buck wanted to tear down.
The Pepa of it all calls back to 204, with Buck watching Eddie and Chris and the actual conversation about "our Eddie". The conversation then evolves to something that reminds me of the conversation buddie had in 612. Eddie matches the couch.
Buck watching Eddie and Chris visually calls back to quite a few scenes. The facetime call with Chris and the Texas talk in 808 and Buck settling in in 811.
It also calls back to Eddie watching Buck and Chris on the couch in 612 and 615, and Eddie moving around them as they play in 403.
Now for the ones I'm less confident on, it's the wrong shades, but Chris leaving is Buck is in blue and Eddie is red.
And the groceries of it all made me think about 604 when Chris is helping Eddie with the groceries and they get the call that Chris has been lying about the science club. Mostly because Chris is holding the same brand of cereal that Buck is putting away.
I think this is all, I will come back if my brain gives me more.
As always, if you read this I love you 💜

woke up in the middle of the night so i streamed the ep again and jesus christ. eddie leaving the note when it so obviously could have been a text. like the craziest bitch alive. he remembered that there's a tactic that has a 100% success rate with making spouses feel bad: a contextless note + a conspicuous absence. he also remembered that there's a tactic that has a 100% success rate with buck when nothing else is working: the babytrap. two birds with one glorious stone.
