Art commission update: I will be accepting art commissions until tomorrow, Sunday 20th, at 3PM Arizona time. After 3PM AZ time, I will not be taking anymore comms for an undetermined time*. Feel free to DM me if you'd like a discount comm or regular comm before they close. :)

*I'm unsure how long comms will be closed or if they will consistently stay closed for the next few weeks--it might fluctuate to accommodate some IRL changes (including starting a new job with a fluctuating schedule, beginning internships, nearing graduation, etc). I'll be sure to make new posts if/when comms open again. :)

Art Comm Discount!

I'm reopening my $5-$10 art commission discount (my regular comms are still open, as well). The art looks slightly different because I'm using new brushes, but the quality is the same. Here's the information:

Simple line art (no color, no render)

$5 for 1 character, $10 for 2 characters. Up to 5 stick figures are free (a stick figure is a character with minimal to no identifiable features). 

I will not draw: NSFW/sexually suggestive themes, angst/whump, romance/romantic couples, angels or demons (and certain other spiritual iconography), or backgrounds. I will let you know right away if I cannot or will not draw something.

I accept Venmo or PayPal. 

I do not make changes or edits once I start drawing, and I do not offer refunds, so please be sure you give as much information as needed up front. I may ask multiple questions about the characters and comm idea to avoid misinterpretation/misunderstandings. 

If you want a commission, DM me through Tumblr, Instagram, or Discord. I will respond ASAP, typically during my free times between 9AM-10PM AZ time. 

In your initial DM, please describe what you want drawn, including details about the character(s) (names, ages, species, clothing, hair type and style, personality, etc.), if you want head/bust, half-body, full-body, or a combination, and how the characters interact (if there's more than one character). 

Please send reference images (drawings, photos, etc.) along with your character description. For privacy reasons, photos are not required for real people whom you know (i.e., if you want me to draw you, your friend, and/or a family member, you can just send me a description without any photos). 

5 slots will be open at a time.

Ask Guidelines

Hiya, hope everyone is doing well!

I'm keeping my inbox open. Please read these guidelines before sending an ask:

Please keep it SFW. Do not send sexually suggestive or gory things. This includes words and images.

Please keep it respectful and kind, not hateful (not just to me, but in regards to others, too).

I prioritize asks related to my art, my sites/stores, art commissions, help/advice, and support (eg, artist support). I might answer other types of asks, but these are my main priorities.

Please try to avoid spamming asks (3+ consecutive asks).

I do not usually do art requests.

Similar to the above statement, please do not send me asks that are in the form of a question directed at a fandom character with the intent that I will either draw a response or otherwise impersonate the character (ie, some Tumblr artists accept asks directed at a fandom character, such as an ask that goes "Hey, [insert fandom character name], what do you think about [insert topic]?", and the artist will respond to the ask with a drawing or comic or by impersonating the fandom character. This is not something I do, though).

Please do not demand I answer an ask or ask why I have not answered you. It's not a personal attack if I don't answer your ask; I might just not have time/energy/etc.

Art commissions update: Comms temporarily closed (details below)

My eye has been giving me issues and it got worse today unexpectedly. Because looking at screens makes the pain and redness worse, I'm going to take a break from social media and postpone art comms until it heals. I'm praying it heals within the next couple of days. If several days pass and it hasn't healed, I might go ahead and open the discount comms but just resort to making them with traditional art instead of digital art. Not sure yet, we'll see.

Colored version of a sketch that I posted some time ago, which can be seen here! It features @toothpaste-dragon’s character Cricket with my boys Donald and Reese! This took quite a while to ink and color, but I’m glad I was able to finally get it done! I have to say, I wish I did some proportions/anatomy better here… but I still like both versions! AND I JUST LOVE THESE KIDS YOUR HONOR! 😭💙

I felt like drawing more Donald, and I ended up making this, which is an attempt at drawing him with more realistic facial proportions. I also added more details here and there than I usually do/drew certain things a little differently. Honestly I’m really happy with how this sketch came out. I think this is the closest I’ve gotten to how I picture him in my head as far as him being in real life goes. I mean, obviously this is still stylized and cartoony, but less-so than what I usually do. It was nice to experiment! I think I would like to draw more in this style if possible. I still like my more cartoony style too, but this one would be nice to explore more.

I also included a beard variation because I wanted to see how he’d look with one in this style, hehe. >w>

If I offered discount comms again, which type of art would you be more interested in:

1. $5-$10 simple uncolored line art like the previous discount I offered (2 characters max, $5 for 1 character and $10 for 2, up to 5 featureless stick figures for free, no romantic ships, heads/half bodies/full bodies all the same price)

2. $15 lined/rendered where I get to choose the way it's rendered and lined, as well as the pose and expression (1 character max, you can choose if it's a head/half body/full body, and though I'll have more artistic liberty over the piece I'll respect any concerns or boundaries you have)

3. Do you have a suggestion for a third option?
