I don't know why, but lately, reading various posts on Tumblr, I've started thinking about my own "WHAT IFs" about Mashle.

To me, Dot is clearly a feminist, even if he got off to a bad start—perhaps on some bad forum with people who believe in the red pill theory. (See, before meeting Mash, she used to yell about how women only date a small percentage of men.)

After meeting Lemon, in an attempt to get closer to her, he began listening to her complaints about being a woman, and from there, he decided to become an ally. And from there… well, that's how he would frown upon people who even dare touch a woman with a flower (especially if it's Lemon).

It's not the first time I publish an OC, but this time it seems different to me...

For a long time in my group of friends I was always teased in a friendly way that my characters were too often Mary Sues, and I was terrified that this character could also be one in the eyes of many, and that's why it remained closed in the drawer for a long time. The design changes from time to time, but not its lore - and if for the moment I got rid of the name, her surname remains Morningstar.

I'll give you some notions about this story that is still completely in my head:

The first bilinear wizard in history is a Morningstar. At the birth of this individual the people decided to name him 'morning star', as he represented the first individual to be born with a greater power than the others. Being born as a bilinear wizard is a coincidence - but somehow in this family every generation presents a bilinear wizard.

The people of the world do not know this, but as a merciful author I reveal to you that this is not a coincidence but mere genetics. If the Morningstars seem like a good family on the surface, they are individuals in constant search of power (it is no coincidence that its members are often Langs, when they enroll at Easton). They do not rely on love, they do not rely on God, but on various scientific studies. Their science is not ethical. Their image is everything. They live to live up to their name, and very often they die incredibly young. "The brighter a star shines, the faster it decays", this is 'the Morningstar curse', an event by which the more an individual is born with unique abilities, the sooner he is destined to die. Here too it is not a curse but a genetic problem given by the insufficiency of the organs to produce mana. Here I would make a small regression on how magic develops in this universe - very similar to Dorohedoro in some respects. Wizards have specific organs that generate mana; mana is a restless, unpredictable substance (like radiation); once a threshold of power is exceeded, the organs begin to malfunction. A normal wizard has cells that can dissipate excess magic, being able to self-regulate the generation of mana (an involuntary process like breathing or heartbeat); in the case of this family, to increase their power, they managed to suppress these cells, and be able to overcome the power curve. They are therefore drug-dependent, and are sickly.

For now I conclude like this, hoping to find someone interested in reading a story like this. :'3
