Instead of saying a queer person was clearly having a mental breakdown / episode, can we wait and give them a chance to speak for themselves? As people whose risque / unconventional dress styles, self-expressiveness when out partying, and standing-up-for-ourselves in conflicts with other people, has often been demonized... As people whose families may say that we're "sick" for choosing to make our own way in life, in ways that weren't mapped out for us... Can we withhold judgement until he speaks for himself?

He has spoken on TikTok saying that he was struggling but he’s going to be okay. He likely can’t speak too publicly because of incrimination.

Edit: he’s also been fairly open and public about his mental health struggles on TikTok the last couple years.

i can't be alone in feeling like there's been an astounding lack of news awareness about the deadly earthquakes in afghanistan like i've had to seek out information about it myself. even asking my brother who browses generally different social media and news sources to me he was totally unaware of the earthquakes. is there something i'm missing that other people are seeing or has there really been an unsual silence around it for a disaster thats killed thousands of people

alberta has become so hateful to trans people but especially trans women and girls. there’s a form that goes home with girls and teens now that has their parents confirm their AGAB - and if not, they cannot participate in sports.

Hey also we should care very much about what's happening with Lil Nas X btw. According to LA law, what he did (takin a walk in undies and cowboy boots) does not meet the requirements for indecent exposure and therefore does not warrant arrest. The claims that he charged officers were made without proper evidence such as body cam footage. If there is evidence, it has not been released to the public. Either way, his actions do not warrant four fuckin felonies including three counts of battery on an officer and one count of resisting an executive officer, especially considering that he was clearly having a mental episode (a fact which is also supported by his dad). Benefit of the doubt to the charges, an unarmed man is being wrongfully charged more than he should for alleged crimes committed in response to a non-crime. Realistically, he is facing these charges because he is a black queer man experiencing a crisis.
