Like obviously I don't think that women should be held to the oppressive and bigoted beauty standards which pervade patriarchal society, but ngl the way some of you talked about the "makeup industrial complex" starts to sound dangerously close to "trans women wearing dresses upholds gender stereotypes." I'm glad that you at least recognize that corporations are the root of the problem here—now can you please figure out how to talk about women who wear makeup like we're thinking people and not brainwashing (!!) victims?
