American Mary is such a funny movie because the summaries all describe it as about a girl who gets sucked down into the DARK, DANGEROUS WORLD OF EXTREME BODY MODIFICATION but all of Mary's clients are perfectly nice to her, pay her well and even if she does find their requests somewhat odd, she clearly finds the work fulfilling. Any and all danger she's in comes from people OUTSIDE the body modification community.

Also Katherine Isabelle is a really good actress
