Have a bunch of Sims. They fully register as CC-free -- no wrench icon or anything. Mostly, they're ones I had sitting around already, just without their CC, so if you've followed me awhile you may recognize some. Note that they may look different in your game depending on the defaults and mods you use. I've pre-tagged them "mcc_include" for my MC Population enjoyers.

Use them for whatever: spouses, friends, enemies, members of your Llamacorn cult. Feel free to make them over (they are CC free, after all.)

I used Fogity's CAS Unlocker to open up more options while keeping everything CC-free, which you do not need to use these Sims. The one mod you may want for these is LunarBritney's Cozy Celebrations unlocker, as I used the trait from the challenge on one Sim and the scarves on a few others, but it's not really necessary.

🎁 Jasmine Holiday

Joyful celebration is Jasmine's driving force. Whether it's organizing festivities, spreading gratitude & love, or gathering sims together for a big meal, she's always happy to contribute to a good party. Her job as a teacher provides year-round fun among the kids. Though her favorite time of the year is around Winterfest, she still enjoys all holidays as well as visiting her cousin, Summer (though she hates all the bugs in Willow Creek in the warmer months!).

Coorinberg Cottages

I'm still on a residential rental kick so here are two townhouses built for Windenburg on the Coorinberg Cottage lot (where the Munch family lived). Each one has 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, as well as a small office on the bottom floor.

Clove Lane Residential Rental

OK so finally finished 😅 I mean... I could go on fiddling forever with this lot but hey, I'm happy enough with the result. A residential block in San Myshuno with an art gallery and center, a bar, a Tomarani eatery, a cafeteria, a café, a community greenhouse, a kid's play area, and a little marketplace for your Sims to make some extra cash. Oh, and a spa. 6 rental units, 5 apartments with 2 bedrooms and one bath each, unfurnished except for the bathroom and kitchen, and a townhouse, unfurnished. Download and more info under the cut.

To make the "community" venues functional you can use either the Auto Employee mod by @littlemssam or this mod by @down-in-simsland, both work great, it's up to your preference. Littlemssam's is more flexible, you can allow or disallow the NPCs as you wish, and it gives you the option to hire massage therapists and a busker (and a caterer since the apartments have a stove and a fridge, haven't tested it but if your Sim hates cooking why not?). On the other hand DISL's is specifically designed for residential rentals and will bring more Sims to your lot, and the NPCs work on a realistic schedule. And if you don't like using mods you can still hire any NPC for 100$ (I haven't tested if this mod works on residential lots).

Conversely you could add a venue to a residential unit and use Littlemssam's Live in Business mod.

I know, so many options LOL!

The art gallery includes the Street Gallery item for your painter Sims to sell their work, and the room in the back is a little community art center with an easel and a woodworking table. Sims with the wellness skill can also earn money by giving massages at the spa (I tried giving a yoga class but nobody showed up but I guess it works if your Sim invited a few people over?) There's also a sales table and a HCH food stand in the outdoor area at the back, and a greenhouse with a flower arrangement table, tough I can't promise your neighbor won't steal your crops...

I think that's about it. Oh, disclaimer: Sims are dumb, they'll order food at the diner and eat it in the bar, or if they have the neat trait they might want to clean all the dishes on the lot 🤷🏼‍♂️ I recommend disabling autonomy, but still, that's how it is... also the lot and unit names won't "stick", hope that get fixed at some point.

The lot costs 230.916$ and is 30x30, I placed it on the Waterside Warble lot, but the Old Salt House lot is the same size.

I think I must have used items from every single pack out there, and remember to enable MOO before placing. Have fun!

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Interact in Tight Spaces

This mod allow Sims to interact in tighter spaces. It should work with most interactions that would normally require Sims to have some space around them (like hugging or kissing, and even slow dancing, no more going outside for that !).

The good part is that this mod is very simple and won't require updates, as it's only modifying the footprint of some invisible objects that are used to determine where Sims can interact (and make them move somewhere else if there is not enough room.)

Keep in mind that it might cause some clipping on objects around them for interactions with wide-ranging movements, but nothing really bad 🤗

The mods also includes fixes on some objects footprint without marking them as CC, including punching bags, used yoga mats, the For Rent console, the Business & Hobbies table lamp and most of all, all computers to prevent that bug where Sims can't use them in cluttered desks without sitting down first.

📸 Photography Improvements

This mod consists on three files, that provide improvement to the photography experience in-game:

DISL_Photography_InstantPhotoPhone.package: Adds an interaction from your Sim phone to take photos instantly instead of waiting for an interaction to run.

DISL_Photography_OverrideZoomSize.ts4scrpt: No matter the camera (or phone) used, you will always have access to the zoom slider and the different picture size when taking a photo.

PhotoCamera.ini: Replaces a file in your game folder (The Sims 4\Game\Bin\res) to extend the zooming and the pitch of the camera (thanks to TheSandwichMeat on Reddit for the tip!)

Tip : save a view while in TAB mode using CRTL + 6/7/8 or 9, and when in photo mode, click on 6/7/8 or 9 to get back to this view - it also works with easels when painting from reference !

🖼️ Background Replacements for Cupid Corner

A small overide that replaces the background used for randomly generated matches on Cupid Corner. I started that to remove the backgrounds related to Sixam & the Magic Realm, but I went overboard and finally decided to replace everything to feature lots & worlds I edited, and some lots from @simsontherope 😊

↕️ Shorter Teens

This kind of mod has been done and redone, but it often comes with a lot of options and features, and I wanted to make something way simpler. Using a hidden height slider (modified from a slider initially by simmythesim I had for a long time) and a custom script, this mod makes all teenagers slightly shorter.

Their height is set every time they spawn in the world and when they grow up, so there is nothing you configure (you can use the cheat "set_height_all_sims" when first loading your save, but it's not even necessary).

Note that the height is not applied directly in CAS, you need to have your Sim loaded in live mode for the first time for it to apply.

🎲 Multifunctional Objects - Game Tables, Towels & Podiums

Currently in testing phase

This mod adds new functionalities to existing items in the game by modifying their rigs & slots, and their tuning. I also included a lot of other fun stuff ! At the moment, there are three sets of items:

🧘 Towels (IL), Stargazing Towels (L&D) & Yoga Mats (SP)

Any interaction that was available only on one of those items is now available on the other ones! I had to work a little bit on the states in order for Sims not to walk over Sims using those items (as each item had a different way to manage that 😅). As an added bonus, it should be easier to walk around a currently in use Yoga Mat, I reduced the footprint.

As a fun bonus, when the weather is hot, Sims wearing their swimsuit (or nothing at all 🤫) won't change their outfit to use the Yoga Mat.

🃏 1x1 Dining Tables as Game Tables

Any 1x1 regular table can now be used as a Game Table! I didn't include other sizes as it was quite buggy and required overriding a lot of stuff. I don't know how CC tables will work, I guess it depend on how they are made (if they use the default Rig & Slots, it should be ok)

Switching games require having the central slot of the table free (Sims can still play cards by default in this case) - and the entire table free for Don't wake the Llama. Apart from this game, Sims will be able to use the other slots for other activities (eat, do their homework...) when the game is just on the table, and even when the game is played for the card game, the Sabacc... and the Lovestuck party games.

Yes, they are now included as a pocket version to the table (and the regular game tables). I also included retextures of those games, the card game and unused clutter - the card game used to have a version specific to Outdoor retreat, I will try and work to make it available again.

For the time being, this mod may cause problems with animation, and problems in small businesses where certain rules are not applied with regard to autonomy. I recommend removing it in such cases.

🗣️ Podiums (CL, L&D, HSY)

Podiums from City Living, Life & Death & High School Years now include all the functionalities of other podiums (except the ones from HSY). I also modified some tuning for the Listen to Eulogy interactions to make Sims be able to use sofas and armchairs and not only chairs to listen.

🛠️ Carving Station (SSP), Flower Arranging (S) & Candle Making Station (EL)

You can now use those objects for woodworking (and even fabrication if you have my mod for fabrication at a woodworking table). Animations are a little bit off but it's not really noticeable, and having a 1x1 tile object to raise handiness can really be interesting for tiny houses.

Required: all the expansion packs mentioned - but it should adapt to the packs you own, Lot51 Core Library & XML Injector

🫂 New Romantic Hugs

Two new physical romantic interactions for your Sims, based on in-game animations:

Leap Into Arms: requires a higher relationship level than the classic Embrace interaction. As there was no animation for failure, it uses the one from the regular interaction.

Risky Hug: based on an animation from the acting career of Get Famous, for which I managed to remove the part where the Sims chat beforehand. Watch out for your Sims who are older or have a low fitness skill, they might get a pulled muscle even if the interaction succeeds! 😁

🙅 Less Annoyances

This simple mod overrides some buffs in order to:

Make disliked music less powerful. Listening to disliked music will either make your Sim a little bit tense or bored, and won't reduce the fun as fast.

Make High-Maintenance Sims less annoying. They are still annoying, but the buffs are less powerful.

It also reduces the autonomy of Thumbs Up games, and the Keg (only Sims with specific trait will use it automatically)

🏋️ Reduced Sit-up and Push-ups

By default, Energized Sims have the tendency to perform Sit-ups and Push-ups anywhere. This behavior is now limited to Energized Sims in gym lots and Active/Gym Rats with a minimum level of fitness skill.

🍵 More options for the Bubble Tea & Espresso Bar counters

Sims can now order (and other sims will automatically order) coffee, tea, cupcakes & croissants at the Bubble Tea counter. They will also get a greater selection of pastries at the Espresso Bar.

🎙️ Sims Sessions Stage made usable

You can now use the Sims Sessions Stage outside the event when placed on a lot: place instruments on it and Sims are able to route to the instruments, and others can listen. Of course, as band are not a thing, no chance they play in sync, but at least that can be used for screenshots 😬 You can even set some light effects!

To find the stage, ad it's not available on the catalog, you can find it in a room on my gallery under EA ID Down-In-Simsland (the room is named Sims Sessions Stage) or here as a tray file.

🌳 Main Menu Background Replacement

This mod replaces the image used as a background for the new main menu. The shadow placement is not perfect as I had to make it work for different families sizes, but it looks good enough for me.

Makin' Magic: References in the Reveal Trailer for The Sims 4: Enchanted by Nature and a Note on GRT Representation

I thought I would talk a little about some references to The Sims: Makin' Magic that it's possible not everyone has noticed, as well as talk about GRT representation in the games so far. Not everyone has Makin' Magic, so I thought it might help some people for me to write about the pack's characters and worldbuilding here, partially because it might help us understand more fully the ways in which it seems like some things are being brought back in Enchanted by Nature. Also, I'm not a member of the GRT community but I think it is worth talking about, and since I'm talking about Magic Town a lot here, I figured I should talk about it here.

Makin' Magic came with a new world, Magic Town, which had three vendors: Vicki Vampiress, Apothecary Todd, and Faerie Queen Mara. They refuse to speak much to you unless you unless you had already bought a wand from the Mystery Man. This is essentially how you become magic in The Sims 1. Instead of ascension which gives you magic powers like in The Sims 4, magic in The Sims 1 is something anyone can do so long as they have a wand.

The Mystery Man is also the "Spellchecker." He fines Sims for casting magic in front of mundane Sims. This is never mentioned as part of magical history in the world of The Sims 4 and evidently no longer happens in the present day, but in my personal headcanons (and I know, those of one other person I have talked to about the matter) there was a period of history where this did happen. It would explain a lot about the secrecy and lack of openness around spellcasting in the present day. I'll probably end up talking more about these ideas in a The Sims 4 context once I've got them more figured out!

Below are the magic vendors. From left to right: Vicki, Todd, and Mara. They can all be duelled, meaning they are all magic users. They are pictured here with their shops and sell different items. Vicki runs All Things Draconic, Todd runs the Wagon O' Wares, and Mara runs Faerie Mara's Odds and Ends. You can get buy ingredients for potions from their shops or by besting them in duels or toadstool races.

I strongly believed that Todd and Mara appear in the reveal trailer for The Sims 4: Enchanted by Nature! Most convincingly, we see the main Sim of the trailer go to Todd for help when they get sonic sniffles, and then they go on a quest.

Todd! And in a very lovely waiscoat. I wonder if he will be a spellcaster if you have Realm of Magic installed, just as Lady Ravendancer Goth will be a spellcaster in the Life and Death pack if you have Realm of Magic installed? Or perhaps he took the rite of dissolution at some point! Or perhaps he never was a spellcaster in the universe of The Sims 4! I am very interested to see what his story will be. I really hope we can learn more through some kind of gossip feature like "Ravenwood Rumors" or "Talk About Moonwood Mill" or "San Sequoia Secrets". I also wonder if the quests in Enchanted by Nature will work anything like the quests in Life and Death? The Life and Death quests have been so good for learning about characters as well as genereal worldbuilding.

Also, according to his page on the wiki, Todd has been referenced in The Sims 4: Storybook Nursery Kit already! Apparently there's an item called the Wagon O' Wares in that, purchased from Todd, but I don't have that kit so I can't speak much on that. I don't know whether the item description says the Wagon O' Wares shop exists/existed in the universe of The Sims 4 or not.

We don't see much of the fairies in the trailer but I also strongly believe that this might be Faerie Queen Mara! Todd is still a vendor but it is unclear yet whether Mara is, or whether she ever was in the universe of The Sims 4. It seems she is willing to transform Sims into fairies, which is interesting in the context of the rift between magic and mundane people in The Sims.

I have not seen any reference to Vicki Vampiress in the trailer. This is totally fine by me; I've already remade her myself and have been having a great time integrating her into the lore we already have for The Sims 4. I wonder if, through a gossip feature perhaps, Todd or Mara will have anything to say about Vicki?

I am excited to see what is very likely the return of Todd and Mara! I wonder if any fairies from other installments of the game, such as the Summerdream family in The Sims 2 or the fairies from The Sims 3: Supernatural will be referenced or return in any form?

I really enjoyed the way that Life and Death brought back old characters while exploring them in news ways, as well as creating new characters with interesting stories. I am not interested in playing the exact same thing as in previous games, which is why I really like the new ways old characters can be explored in a new setting when brought to The Sims 4 (such as the Specters, who I really liked learning about in their new context). Characterisation, relationships and worldbuilding have been strong points of the past two major occult packs, Werewolves and Life and Death, so I really hope to see this continue.

Finally, I think it is important to talk about the representation of traveller communities in Makin' Magic. We see Travellers in Magic Town, specifically working the carnaval. The naming convention for these Sims, for example, "Gypsy Clerk Rossar", specifically defines them by them in this very one-dimensional way. From what I have played so far, they seem to be little more than part of the set, not fleshed out as characters. Furthermore, in Supernatural, Sims can go to a "Gypsy caravan" to have their fortune told, but the pack lacks proper representation of the GRT community. Representations of Travellers compared to other Sims feels one-dimensional, and perhaps as though they are being used to add to mysticism of their packs.

According to the information on the EA App, the new word coming with Enchanted by Nature, the Coast of Adhmor is "Celtic-inspired". From what I've seen so far, the place names seem to take inspiration from Ireland. From what I can see, the GRT community has not been very well represented in the whole of the series of The Sims so far, but perhaps Enchanted by Nature will include the GRT community, such as Irish Travellers, and so in a way that treats these Sims as more than stereotypes, more set pieces, just as multidimensional as other Sims.

As much as there's lot to love about Makin' Magic and Supernatural, there are also some glaring ways in which it should have been better. I hope it will get better, and whether or not this happens in Enchanted by Nature, I hope it will in the future of the game — the GRT community has most prominently shown up in packs with fairies before but there is zero reason they should be limited to that.

Make sure your child sims are wearing the lates Spring fashion with the Honeydew CC Pack! Here we have 32 colorful items with all sorts of animals, bugs, foliage, fruits, plaids and stripes. I found a lot of these designs on pinterest, but all of the icons are drawn by me. I also use MadamRiaSims4 plaid psd on some of the items.
