Injuries starters

SEA // THEY WANT TO PUT THE CROWN ON YOUR HEAD AND CHAIN YOU DOWN, BUT YOU REFUSE

Lips part, uncertainty at first keeping him from talking before he pushes through it. “ Please, don’t go - ! ” a soft plea that shatters the quietness which usually dominates over the bakery during the slower parts of the day. Kai himself looks taken aback by the way his voice raises and cracks, winces for all of three seconds then offers a sheepish smile. 

The follow up isn’t immediate, hands fumbling with the too long sleeves of his hoodie as he tries to think of a follow - up to his shout. “ I - I - I ” swallow thickly and wave both arms vaguely around “ I - I’m fine. I just. That caught me off guard, I’m fine. ” still a bit jittery but alright overall “ I can come back to the front with you. ”

The bustle is high and loud as usual with people coming and going, chattering away or simply being mystified by the ever - present colourful neon signs. It’s a continuous noise that doesn’t seem to lessen at all even as night approaches – if anything, it only grows in volume.

Welcome to The City, a place as if broken away from reality where things are anything but normal! Yes, including that looming presence even when nobody seems to be around.
