LONDON IS MY FRIEND
130 posts
I'm a girlie who loves trekking up to London every day to see what I can see. Mostly shows and famous peeps. Love opera, Cabin Pressure (mmm...Roger Allam), and lots of Radio 4 comedy

Here you go. as promised, some screencaps of Shaun Evans playing the traitorous and inaccountably Scouse Earl of Southampton in The Virgin Queen.
Of note: Neil Stuke, his co-star in Silk, playing Francis Bacon in pic 3, and a nicely L'Oreal moment of hair-tossing in pic 6. I did try to get some full length pics of him in the leather trousers, but they were all fast-moving scenes and the pics came out blurry. Still, enjoy!

These two dorks…I can’t even. Didn’t know Jamie had a cameo and that was a pleasant surprise.

This October Roger Allam will be returning to the Hampstead Theatre to star in David Hare’s new production, ‘The Moderate Soprano.’
The play follows John Christie, a man of formidable will, whose love of the works of Wagner leads him to embark on an ambitious project: the construction of a new Opera House on his estate in Sussex.
Public booking opens on the 26th May.

Beauty in the Blackboard Jumble – Spanish artist Alejandro Guijarro travels to some of the world’s most prestigious quantum mechanics labs, from Oxford to Stanford to CERN, and captures the blackboards just as he found them, a ghostly record of genius.
Couple with Alice in Quantumland.
