also lemme see so there's always the catch all of "you gotta practice".

but there's also the more specific of "you gotta practice what you want to do". you get better at making comics by making comics. you get better at making fancy illustrations by doing that etc.

work on your line confidence. getting that one line in one line helps a lot more than doing it in multiple scratchy strokes.

practice Line of Action and be mindful of silhouetttes while posing!
