My personal headcanon is he's called Robert Kevin Han and grows up to stories about the two firefighters he was named after and ends up HATInG firefighting for a long time because if these guys were so good why did they still die and he is super nervous about Chim going to work every day while Jee-Yun is the one who's always wearing a lil firefighters costume and saying she's gonna be one when she grows up.

And he kinda hates that when someone calls him Bobby everyone looks sad for a second so when he's like 8/9 he refuses to answer to Bobby and starts asking to be called something else and it ends up being Rev because one or his friends said it as a joke (as a portmanteau of Rob and Kev) but then it stuck.

I get being upset about Bobby but honestly. People comparing it to Greys is..not the comparison you think it is.

The first MAIN character to die in Greys was George and he didn't die until the end of season 5 which was episode 102 overall. Bobby died in episode 121

This is what happens in procedural dramas. You have your "omg everyones invisible" time and then the writers (and GA) get bored of always knowing that their fav will survive so they change it up.

Is it sometimes lazy writing? Of course

But guys...8 seasons without a MCD was not a promise it was a fucking miracle.

Not to be weird or anything but if it weren't for Athena I'd love Bobby dying. Like the shift in dynamic is gonna be amazing, the accccting we're gonna get. The firefam carrying on Bobby's legacy absolute fucking cinema

But ATHENA?? This is the THIRD love she's lost. Bobby was her home, Bobby was her happily ever after and they deserved to live in their new house and be gross and in love and while I know Angela is gonna kill me with her performance it is one I do not want to see
